كنيسة السيّدة - مراح الزيّات

الكنيسة قديمة العهد وتاريخ بنائها مجهول. في الكنيسة العديد من الحجار المقصوبة المأخوذة من قلعة سمار جبيل القريبة. البناء كناية عن عقد سريريّ ينتهي بحنية نصف دائريّة. تضمّ الكنيسة لوحتين من القرن التاسع عشر: الأولى للعذراء من عمل كنعان ديب والثانية لمار جرجس من عمل المستشرق البولونيّ بول شلافاك.

The church of Our Lady - Mrah El Zayat

The church is an old structure with an unknown history. The structure is a crib vault ending with a semi circular apse, with many spolias from the nearby Smar Jbeil castle. The church holds two XIXth century paintings: the Madonna by Kanaan Dib and St George by the polish orientalist Paul Shlavat.

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٧٥٥ في عهد البطريرك يعقوب عوّاد وكرّسها المطران سمعان عوّاد اسقف صيدا. هي اولى الكنائس المارونيّة التي بنيت في منطقة شرقيّ صيدا وساحل جزّين. تتميّز بهندستها البسيطة وبالنقوش على أعتاب أبوابها المنخفضة. خُرّبت إبّان الحرب الأهليّة وأعيد ترميمها في تسعينات القرن العشرين.

The church was built in 1755 during the pontificate of Patriarch Jacob Awad and was consecrated by Sidon’s bishop Simon Awad. It is the first maronite church in the vicinity of Sidon. The architecture is simple and doted with symbolic arabesque over the small narrow doors. During the civil war it was heavily damaged and restored during the nineties.

كنيسة سيّدة الغابة - بيت شباب

بنُيت الكنيسة الأولى في القرن السابع عشر، واعتنى بإعادة بنائها آل الحايك مرّتين سنة ١٧٧٢ و١٧٧٣. خُرّبت أثناء حملة إبراهيم باشا فأعاد ترميمها الأمير حيدر أبي اللمع سنة ١٨٤٠. أخذت شكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٩٠٠ ورُمّمت سنة ١٩٩٠. في الكنيسة عدّة لوحات أهمّها اللوحة القديمة التي تعود للقرن السادس عشر، كان قد رسم فوقها كنعان ديب لوحة أخرى لم تعد موجودة سنة ١٨٣٩ وقد جرّحها فارسٌ درزيّ في أحداث ١٨٦٠، وقد نُقلت عنها لوحة لحبيب سرور تعود لسنة ١٩١٩.
The church of Our Lady of the Forest - Beit Chabeb

The church was first built in the XVIIth century, then rebuilt by the Hayek family in 1726 and 1773. It was damaged during the campaign of Mehmet Ali Pasha and restored by Prince Haidar Abi Ll Lamah in 1840. It took its final shape in year 1900, and then restored 90 years later. The church holds many paintings the most important ones being the old XVIth century icon of the Madona, that was covered by another painting by Kanaan Dib drawn in year 1839 that is no longer present. This painting was attacked by a Druze knight in the war of 1860. Habib Srour drew a copy of it in 1919.
