Saint Charbel of Edessa feast dayA church dedicated to him in MaadCharbel was a pagan priest in Edessa. He was then converted to Christianity with his sister Barabia and martyred in the days of Emperor Disios (236-250 A.D).The church was built over an old pagan temple ruins. It was first a Byzantine church. The Crusades built it again in the 12th century. Renovations took place at the end of the 19th century.As one enters the Church, he'll find a nartex with some artifacts. The church is built in a basilical form, divided into two rows of arches. Some of the tiles along with a circular well belong to a roman temple. Some decorative elements that date back to the Ottoman period fill the main vault.The main apse belongs to the old church, and it contains a fresco depicting a bishop surrounded by Saints Peter and Paul and the four Evangelists.

كنيسة سيّدة المزرعة - بجّة

كنيسةٌ بيزنطيّة بعقدٍ سريريّ وحنية نصف دائريّة، مبنيّة فوق أنقاضٍ رومانيّة. تقع الكنيسة في موضعٍ أثريّ غنيّ بالنواويس والآثار. رمّمت الكنيسة في القرن العشرين وأُضيفت إليها قبّة جرسٍ.

The Church of Our Lady of the Farm - Bejjeh

The church is a Byzantine church, with its structure consisting of a rib vault and a semicircular apse. The church was built over Roman ruins in a historic necropolis. It was renovated in the 20th century, and a bell tower was added.

دُشّنت كنيسة سيّدة النجاة-القصيبة في عيد السيّدة سنة ١٨٨٣ بسعي وهمّة الخوري بطرس زيدان. تحتوي هذه الكنيسة على ثلاثة رسومات قيّمة لشفيعة الرعيّة (رسم داود القرم، ١٨٩٤) عليها كتابة: "من وجدني وجد الحياة ونال مرضاة الربّ" (أمثال ٨ /٣٥)، ومار مارون (رسم حبيب سرور، ١٩٢٣)، ومار بطرس(رسم جرجس عبدالله أبو جودة، ١٩١١).
من الملفت وجود عين العناية الإلهية على بيت القربان، رمزًا قّل استخدامه بعد منتصف القرن التاسع عشر في الفن المسيحي بعدما أخذ دلالةً ماسونيّةً.
رُمّمت الكنيسة في القرن الماضي وأُعيد تدشينها وتكريس المذبح الجديد في عيد السيّدة سنة ١٩٧٤.
Our Lady of Deliverance Church Qsaybeh
The church was consecrated on the feast of Assumption of Mary year 1883 with the efforts of Father Boutros Zeidan. Three main paintings are hung in the three apses. On the main apse, stands that of the Assumption of the Lady, painted by Dawoud El Qorm in year 1894, with the verse :"For whoever finds me finds life, and wins favor from the Lord" (Proverbs 8: 35) written below the virgin. On the side apses, one can find a painting that depicts Saint Maroun drawn by Habib Srour in 1923, and another one depicting Saint Peter, a work by Gerges Abdallah Abou Jaoudeh, year 1911.
What is remarkable is the presence of the Eye of Providence on the tabernacle, a symbol that was rarely used after the mid 19th century in Christian art for its relation with the Masonry.
The Church was renovated in the past century, and the Altar was reconsecrated on the feast of the Assumption of the Lady year 1974.

كنيسة مار نوهرا - بقرقاشا

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٩٠٩ في عهد البطريرك الياس بطرس الحويك، لتصبح الكنيسة الرعائيّة لضيق الكنيسة القديمة. البناء كناية عن عقدٍ مصالبٍ، بنتهي بحنية وثلاث مذابح: مار نوهرا والسيّدة ومار يوسف. في وسط الكنيسة مذبح لمار جرجس. الكنيسة محافظة على طابعها الأوّل وهي تمثل فنّ أوائل القرن العشرين. للكنيسة مدخلين مزخرفين للرجال والنساء. تضم الكنيسة عددًا من اللوحات أهمّها لمار نوهرا وهي محليّة الصنع.

The church of St Nouhra - Bqorqasha

The church of St Nouhra (Logius the martyr) was built in 1909 during the pontificate of patriarch Elias Boutros El Howayek, after the local parish became too small for the community. The structure consists of a crossed vault ending with three altars: St Nouhra, the Madonna, and St Joseph. In the middle of the church stands a side altar dedicated to St George. The church conserves the original decor of the early XXth century. The church has two ornamented entrances to separate men and women’s seating places. It also holds many paintings the most important being a local icon of Saint Nouhra.
