بنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٧٠٤ على تلّة مشرفة في بلدة ذوق مصبح، على أنقاض كنيسة أقدم عهدًا. بناها وجهاء آلحقلاني الذين قَدِموا الى هذه البلاد من جرود جبيل. يوم انتُخِب المطران عبدالله قرعلي أسقفًا، جَعَل منها كرسيًّا لمدينة بيروت، وفيها أُقيمت للمرّة الأولى رتبة زيّاح الوردية الكبير. فيها العديد من اللوحات الزيتيّة، لكن الأهم هي اللّوحة الأساسيّة لسيّدة الورديّة، وتعود للقرن السادس عشر، فيها مريم العذراء بهيئة شرقية على ذراعها الطفل الإلهيّ، مُحاطة بالقدّيسيَن عبدالاحد وكاترين السيانية مجللة بأسرار الورديّة الخمسة عشر.The Church of our Lady of the RosaryBuilt in 1704 on a hill in the town of Zouk Mosbeh, over the ruins of an older church, by the notables of the Haqlany’s family.When Abdalla Qaraaly became bishop of Beirut he made it his Cathedral, where he promulgated the rosary devotion.The church is famous for its paintings, especially its main one: The Virgin Mary portrayed as an oriental lady with the child in her hands, handing the rosary to Sts Catherine and Dominic, with the rosary mysteries on her sides.

كنيسة مار جرجس الشهيد - عقتانيت

بنيت الكنيسة في القرن الثامن عشر، تعرّضت للتخريب خلال أحداث سنة ١٨٦٠. البناء كناية عن عقدٍ مصالبٍ بحنية واحدة. تضمّ الكنيسة أيقونتين مقدسيّيتين للسيّدة والعماد، ولوحةً لمار جرجس تعود لسنة ١٩١٦ من عمل خليل عقل. تجدّدت وأعاد تكريسها المطران مارون العمّار في ٢٤ نيسان ٢٠٢٢.
The church of St George the martyr - Aqtanit

The church was built in the XVIIIth century and sabotaged during the war of 1860. The structure consists of a crossed vault with a single nave. The church holds two icons from the school of Jerusalem: the Theophany and the Madonna and a painting of St George by Khalil Akl dating back to 1916. The church was renewed and reconsecrated by bishop Maroun Al Ammar on the 24th of April 2022.

دير مار جرجس الأحباش - وادي قنوبين

الدّير عبارة عن كهفٍ طبيعيٍّ يقع في وسط الجُرف الصخريّ ويضمُ كنيسةً ومدفنًا وبعض القلالي. يتمّ الوصول إليه عبر درجٍ من الحجارة المنحوتة. بنى الدّير رهبان مونوفيزيّين جاؤوا من الحبشة في القرن الثاني عشر بقصد التنسك. الكنيسة كناية عن تجويفٍ طبيعيًّ حُفرت حنيتها على شكل عقدٍ مكسورٍ مُليّسة بالكلس، ومزيّنة برسومٍ جداريّة ذات أشكال هندسيّة تنتمي لفنّ الكنيسة الحبشيّة. في الكنيسة كذلك مذبح مربّع الشكل.

The monastery of St George of the Abyssinians - the valley of Qannoubine

The monastery is a natural cave in a cliff consisting of a church, a necropolis and some cells. It is accessible trough a carved stair. The monastery was built by Jacobite monks from Abyssinia during the XIIth century. The church is a natural cave with a carved apse covered by limestone gypson with a geometrical motif fresco from the Ethiopian art tradition, the church also has a squared altar.

الكنيسة الحاليّة مبنيّة في موضعٍ رومانيّ، بُني مكانه كنيسةً يعقوبيّة في القرون الوسطى. سنة ١٧٤١ إكتُشِفَت في الموقع أيقونةً للعذراء مريم. بُنيت في الموقع الكنيسة الحاليّة بشكل عقدٍ سريريّ وحنية نصف دائريّة. سنة ١٩٠٤ جلب الرهبان اليسوعيّون تمثالاً لعذراء بونتمان الفرنسيّة مازال بقلب الكنيسة. تشتهر هذه الكنيسة بحدوث العديد من المعجزات والكرامات بشفاعة العذراء مريم، وهي محجّ مريميّ كبير.

The miraculous church of our Lady of Bechouat - Bechouat

The first church was built on a roman site, it was a medieval Jacobite church. In 1741 a marian icon was discovered in this site. The current church was built on the site, consisting of a single crib vault and a semi circular apse. In 1904 the jesuits on a mission in the region brought to the village a replica of the French marian statue of Pontmain that is still enshrined in the church. The church is famous for being a pilgrimage site with many miracles attributed to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin.
