بنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٧٠٤ على تلّة مشرفة في بلدة ذوق مصبح، على أنقاض كنيسة أقدم عهدًا. بناها وجهاء آلحقلاني الذين قَدِموا الى هذه البلاد من جرود جبيل. يوم انتُخِب المطران عبدالله قرعلي أسقفًا، جَعَل منها كرسيًّا لمدينة بيروت، وفيها أُقيمت للمرّة الأولى رتبة زيّاح الوردية الكبير. فيها العديد من اللوحات الزيتيّة، لكن الأهم هي اللّوحة الأساسيّة لسيّدة الورديّة، وتعود للقرن السادس عشر، فيها مريم العذراء بهيئة شرقية على ذراعها الطفل الإلهيّ، مُحاطة بالقدّيسيَن عبدالاحد وكاترين السيانية مجللة بأسرار الورديّة الخمسة عشر.The Church of our Lady of the RosaryBuilt in 1704 on a hill in the town of Zouk Mosbeh, over the ruins of an older church, by the notables of the Haqlany’s family.When Abdalla Qaraaly became bishop of Beirut he made it his Cathedral, where he promulgated the rosary devotion.The church is famous for its paintings, especially its main one: The Virgin Mary portrayed as an oriental lady with the child in her hands, handing the rosary to Sts Catherine and Dominic, with the rosary mysteries on her sides.

بذأت زسالة الآباء الكرمليّين في القبيّات أوائل القرن التاسع عشر. سنة ١٨٣٥، بدؤا بناء ديرهم، بعد ان أوقف لهم الارض جبّور سيف حبيش. كان في تلك الأرض آثار كنيسةِ لمار ضومط، والعديد من الآثار التي بيعت لبناء الكنيسة الجديدة. بّنيت الكنيسة بشكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٨٥٢، وجدّدت على الطراز النبو غوطي سنة ١٩١٤. لعب الدّير دورًا هامًا في تاريخ البلدة خصوصًا أنّه ضمّ مدرسةً لتعليم الأحداث.

The monastery of St Doumit of the Carmelite fathers - Kobayyat

The Carmelite mission in the region of Kobayyat began in the dawn of the XIXth century. In 1935 Jabbour Seif Hobeich donated a piece of land to build a monastery. In this land where a ruined church dedicated to St Doumit and lots of ancient artifacts that where sold to museums to build the monastery. In 1852 the current church was built, and it 1914 it was remodeled with a neo gothic style. The monastery played an important role in the community”s history specially on the educational level with the famous Carmelite school.

دير مار الياس الراس – جعيتا

تأسّس الدّير في مزرعة الراس بعد جلاء المماليك عن كسروان. عام ١٧٠٤ كان الدّير بعهدة القسّ بطرس صفرونيوس الحاقلانيّ من زوق مصبح، الذي ترهّب فيه مع رهبانه العبّاد.
قرّر المجمع اللبنانيّ المنعقد سنة ١٧٣٦ إلغاء الأديار المزدوجة، وفصل أديار الرهبان عن أديار الراهبات، وشدّد على أن يكون للراهبات قانون خاصّ. عند الإنتقال إلى مرحلة تطبيق مبدأ الفصل إتّفق القاصد الرسوليّ يوسف السمعانيّ مع المطران عبدالله قراعلي، على إنشاء دير قانونيّ يكون مثالًا وقدوة لسائر أديار الراهبات في دير ما الياس الراس. وهكذا آل الدير إلى الرّهبانيّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة.
باشر الرهبان، بعد استلام الدّير، بناء كنيسةٍ ودير مخصّص لسكن راهبات محصّنات فبني الدّير الجديد مع كنيسته الكبيرة. فُتحت أبواب الدير في ٦ كانون الثاني ١٧٤٠. ولا يزال إلى اليوم واحة صلاةٍ وتأملٍ، ومزارًا يقصده المؤمنون من كلّ حدبٍ وصوب.

The convent of St Elias el Ras - Jeita

The convent was built in the farm of El Rass after the Mamluks left Keserwan. In 1704 the convent was under the custody of Boutros Safronius el Haklany, a monk from Zouk Mosbeh. In 1736 the Lebanese Council dictated that nunneries shall be separated from monks' monasteries, thereby abolishing mixed monasteries, and giving nuns their own convents and rules. When it was time to apply the new rules, Monsignor Youssef El Semaany, the papal nuncio, and Bishop Abdallah Qaraaly, decided to give St Elias’s convent to the nuns of the newly formed Lebanese Order. It was decided to build a new convent suitable for contemplative nuns with a big church. The new convent was consecrated on the 6th of January 1740, and is still a haven for prayer and meditation, and a shrine for all pilgrims.

كنيسة مار سركيس وباخوس - طورزا

بُنيت سنة ١٤٧٠ بحسب تأريخ الشدياق انطونيوس العنطوري، وورد ذكرها كذلك مع البطريرك اسطفانوس الدويهيّ في تاريخ الأزمنة. البناء الحاليّ يعود لسنة ١٨٦٨، لكنّ الكنيسة رُممّت ووسّعت على عدّة مراحل. تتميّز الكنيسة بعقدها المصالب ذات اللونين وهو من حجر مقالع البلدة المحليّ. في سبعينيّات القرن العشرين أضاف أحد أبناء البلدة المغترين قبّة الساعة. تضمّ الكنيسة ثلاث لوحات للفنّان داوود القرم، أمّا الزجاجيّات فهي من عمل الأب عبده بدوي.

The church of Sts Sergius and Bacchus - Tourza

The church was built in 1470 according to the chronicles of the Subdeacon Antonyos El Aintoury, and it is also mentioned in Patriarch Stephen El Douaihy's "History of the Times". The current building dates back to 1868, yet the church was restored and enlarged on many occasions. The church consists of a crossed vault with two colors stones from the local quaries. During the seventies an emigrant donated the unique clock tower. The church holds three paintings from Dawoud Al Qorm dating back to 1892, and stained glass windows by Fr Abdo Badawi.
