دير مار أنطونيوس الكبير - زحلة تأسّس الدير في عام 1771 من قِبل مجموعة من الرهبان الموارنة الذين كانوا يسعون إلى إنشاء مكان للعبادة ل في قلب مدينة زحلة لخدمة المجتمع المارونيّ المحلي. نما دير القديس أنطونيوس على مرّ القرون في الحجم والأهميّة وأصبح مركزًا للعلم والروحانيّة. ورغم تعرّضه للحروب والغزوات والزلازل، إلّا أنه تم إعادة بنائه وترميمه عدة مرّات. تُعدّ كنيسة القديس أنطونيوس نقطة المحور في الدير، حيث تم بناؤها في منتصف القرن العشرين فوق الكنيسة الأصلية. ويتميّز الداخل بلوحات جداريّة رائعة ونوافذ زجاجية ملونة برسوم الفنان اللبناني أسعد رنّو. في الكنيسة مقام جانبي صغير مخصص للقديسة تيريزا. تشتهر مكتبة الدير كذلك بمجموعتها الضخمة من الكتب والمخطوطات والتحف القديمة. وبشكل عام، يُعدّ دير القديس أنطونيوس موقعًا ثقافيًا وروحيًا مهمًّا في زحلة، له تراث غنيّ يجذب الزوار من جميع أنحاء العالم. The monastery of St. Anthony the great - Zahle The monastery was established in 1771 by a group of Maronite monks with the intention of creating a place of worship and reflection for the local Maronite community in Zahle. Throughout the years, it has grown in both size and significance, developing into a hub for learning and spirituality. Despite experiencing wars, invasions, and earthquakes, the monastery has been reconstructed and renovated multiple times. The focal point of the monastery is the church of St. Anthony, which was built in the mid XXth century over the original church. The interior is decorated with stunning frescoes, stained glass windows created by the Lebanese artist Assaad Renno, and intricate altars. The church has a small lateral chapel dedicated to St. Therese of Lisieux. Another noteworthy feature of the monastery is its library, which houses an extensive collection of books, manuscripts, and ancient artifacts. Overall, the monastery is a significant cultural and spiritual site in Zahle, Lebanon, with a rich heritage that continues to attract visitors from all over the world.

بنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٨٧٦ وكانت وقفًا خاصًا لآل الهاشم. في ٢٦ تشرين الثاني سنة ١٩٠٠ إشتراها الأهالي بمصادقة المطران نعمة الله سلوان فأصبحت كنيسةً رعائيّة. الكنيسة كناية عن عقدٍ مصالبٍ ينتهي بحنية. لوحة مار يوسف تعود لسنة ١٩٢٨.

The church of St Joseph - El Fraykeh

The church was built in 1876 as a private chapel for the Al Hashem family. On the 26th of November 1900, the locals bought the church, and it was created a parish with the approbation of Mgr. Nemtallah Selwan Bishop of Cyprus. The church is a cross vaulted structure ending with a nave. The painting of St Joseph dates back to 1928.

كنيسة السيّدة - مراح الزيّات

الكنيسة قديمة العهد وتاريخ بنائها مجهول. في الكنيسة العديد من الحجار المقصوبة المأخوذة من قلعة سمار جبيل القريبة. البناء كناية عن عقد سريريّ ينتهي بحنية نصف دائريّة. تضمّ الكنيسة لوحتين من القرن التاسع عشر: الأولى للعذراء من عمل كنعان ديب والثانية لمار جرجس من عمل المستشرق البولونيّ بول شلافاك.

The church of Our Lady - Mrah El Zayat

The church is an old structure with an unknown history. The structure is a crib vault ending with a semi circular apse, with many spolias from the nearby Smar Jbeil castle. The church holds two XIXth century paintings: the Madonna by Kanaan Dib and St George by the polish orientalist Paul Shlavat.

دير سيّدة البشارة الخازن لراهبات الزيارة - زوق مكايل

سنة ١٨٢٥ بعد وفاة الشيخ بشارة جفال الخازن، كرَّس البطريرك يوسف حبيش حارته ديراً على اسم سيّدة البشارة. كان الدير أوّلاً خاصًا ببنات عائلة الخازن، اللواتي نظمن حياتهنّ بحسب قانون مار فرنسيس السالسيّ لراهبات الزيارة. مع مرور الزمن أصبح الدير يستقبل كافة البنات اللواتي يُردن اعتناق الحياة الديريّة التأمليّة المحصنة. وراهبات الزيارة ما زلن يحافظن على نمط حياةٍ تقليديّ بحسب قانونهنّ. كنيسة الدّير مسقوفة، تتميَز بخوروس الراهبات الموجود آخر الكنيسة وهو أعلى من مستواها، خلف مكان جلوس العوام، يعلوه متخّتين للراهبات العجائز.

The monastery of the Annunciation Khazen for the Visitandine nuns - Zouk Mikael

In 1825 after Sheikh Bchara Jaffal el Khazen passed away, Patriarch Youssef Hbeich converted his estate into a nunnery dedicated to our Lady of the Annunciation. The nuns where essentially from the Khazen family and adopted the rule of St Francis of Sales for the visitandine sisters while remaining maronites. With time the monastery began to accept girls from outside of the Khazen family who wanted a strict observance and a contemplative way of life that is still practiced today. The chapel of the monastery is roofed, it is distinguishable by it’s nuns choir at the end of the church, and three mezzanines used by older nuns to participate in the liturgy.
