دير مار ضومط للآباء الكرمليّين - القبياتبذأت زسالة الآباء الكرمليّين في القبيّات أوائل القرن التاسع عشر. سنة ١٨٣٥، بدؤا بناء ديرهم، بعد ان أوقف لهم الارض جبّور سيف حبيش. كان في تلك الأرض آثار كنيسةِ لمار ضومط، والعديد من الآثار التي بيعت لبناء الكنيسة الجديدة. بّنيت الكنيسة بشكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٨٥٢، وجدّدت على الطراز النبو غوطي سنة ١٩١٤. لعب الدّير دورًا هامًا في تاريخ البلدة خصوصًا أنّه ضمّ مدرسةً لتعليم الأحداث.The monastery of St Doumit of the Carmelite fathers - KobayyatThe Carmelite mission in the region of Kobayyat began in the dawn of the XIXth century. In 1935 Jabbour Seif Hobeich donated a piece of land to build a monastery. In this land where a ruined church dedicated to St Doumit and lots of ancient artifacts that where sold to museums to build the monastery. In 1852 the current church was built, and it 1914 it was remodeled with a neo gothic style. The monastery played an important role in the community”s history specially on the educational level with the famous Carmelite school.

كنيسة مار جرجس - عمارة شلهوب

أعطى المطران المثلث الرحمات نعمة الله سلوان الإذن ببناء الكنيسة ( كنيسة القديس مارون آنذاك) وأوقفت الأرض من المرحوم سلوم بسول سنة ١٨٩٩. اكتمل بناء الكنيسة مار جرجس الأعظم حوالي سنة ١٩٠٠/١٩٠١ من أموال أبناء الرعيّة بدليل تعيين أول وكيل وقف سنة ١٩٠٠ وتسجيل أول عمادة فيها سنة ١٩٠١ كما وتعيين أول كاهن لخدمتها سنة ١٩٠٢. تضرّر السقف خلال الحرب اللبنانيّة فتمّ ترميمه وطرشه على عجل. عند ترميم الكنيسة الثاني سنة ٢٠١٧ تم اعادة كشف رسومات السقف الأصلية.

St. George Church - Amaret Chalhoub

The late Salloum Bessoul donated the land for the building of the Maronite Church of St. Maron (at that time), and Archibishop Neematullah Selwan granted permission for its construction. The construction of the Church of St. George the Great was completed around 1900/1901 from the funds of the parishioners, with the appointment of the first trustee in 1900 and the registration of the first baptism in 1901, as well as the appointment of the first priest to serve in it in 1902. The ceiling was damaged during the Lebanese war and was hastily restored and painted. During the second restoration of the church in 2017, the original ceiling paintings were rediscovered.

بنى البطريرك بولس مسعد الدّير في النصف الثاني من القرن التاسع عشر، وجعله مركزًا بطريركيًّا له إبّان حبريته. استقدم للكنيسة تمثالين رخاميّين والأواني من روما، مع مجموعة من اللوحات الصغيرة. أمّا اللوحة الكبيرة فوق المذبح وسط الكنيسة، فهي من عمل داود القرم. بعد وفاته، دُفن البطريرك في الكنيسة، وأوقف الدّير لعائلة مسعد. تحوّل في فترةٍ من الزمن إلى مدرسة، والآن يخوض عمليّة ترميم لإبراز قيمته التاريخيّة.

The monastery of Sts Peter and Paul - Ashkout

The monastery was built in the second part of the XIXth century by patriarch Boulos Massaad, and he resided in it during his pontificate. The patriarch acquired for the church two roman marble statues of Sts Peter and Paul, and many paintings. The great painting over the high altar is by Dawoud El Qorm. After the death of the patriarch the monastery became in the possession of the Masaad family, it was converted into a school for a while and now it is undergoing a restoration plan to bring out the historical value of the place.

كنيسة مار شينا - حردين

أواسط القرن التاسع عشر أصبح أهالي حردين بحاجةٍ لكنيسةٍ رعائيّةٍ كبيرةٍ، فجاء بناء كنيسة مار شينا بعقدٍ مُصالب سنة ١٨٤٤. ومار شينا هو لقبٌ سريانيّ لأبراميوس الأنطاكي الذي كان لصًّا متنكرًا بزيّ راهبٍ أراد سرقة ديرٍ للراهبات فحدثت معجزة شفاءٍ غيّرت حياته من لصِّ إلى ناسك. هذه المعجزة خلدتها لوحة الكنيسة وهي من عمل الحبيس ليشع الحرديني شقيق القديس نعمة الله. رُمّمت الكنيسة سنة ١٩٩٨ بعد إعلان تطويب مار نعمة الله، وهي الكنيسة التي شهدت على طفولته وخدم مذبحها.

The Church of St. Chaina - Hardine

During the mid-19th century, the villagers of Hardin felt the need for a parish church. The construction of a magnificent cross-vaulted structure was completed in 1844. The church was dedicated to St. Chaina, a 4th-century thief named Abramius of Antioch, who, after attempting to raid a nunnery disguised as a monk, witnessed a miracle that led to his conversion. This miracle is depicted in a painting hanging in the church's apse, which was created by the hermit Fr. Lichaa el Hardini, the brother of St. Nematullah. The church was restored in 1998 following the beatification of Fr. Nematullah, who had been a child and an altar boy in this very church.
