كنيسة الأربعين شهيد - الغربيّة القبيّاتبُنيت الكنيسة الأولى في القرن السادس عشر في المحلّة التي تعرف بالقبيّات العتيقة. ومن أبرز أبنائها في تلك الحقبة الأولى سمعان ابن شمعة الذي كتب مدحًا في البطريرك موسى سعادة العكّاري سنة ١٥٥٧ بحسب سلسلة البطاركة التي كتبها البطريرك الدويهيّ. أعيد بناء الكنيسة سنة ١٩٢٥ وكرّسها رئيس أساقفة طرابلس آنذاك المطران أطون عريضه (البطريرك لاحقً). الكنيسة مبنيّة بالحجر البركانيّ الأسود، مؤلفة من سوق واحد بحنية نصف دائريّة. رمّمت في العقد الأخير ممّا أضفى على داخلها نمطًا حديثًا في الهندسة يختلف عن نمطها الخارجيّ.The church of the Forty Martyrs - El Gharbye KobayatThe first church was originally built in the XVIth century in the locality known as Kobayat el Atiqa (the old Kobayat). One of its most famous parishioners from that era is Semaan Ibn Shamaa el Kobayati who wrote a eulogy for patriarch Moussa Saade el Akkari in 1557, according to the patriarchal list written by patriarch El Douwaihy. The church was rebuilt in 1925 and consecrated by the archbishop of Tripoli Mgr. Antoun Arida (later patriarch). The church is built with black basalt, it consists of a single nave with a semi circular apse. It was restored in the last decade, with a modern interior that is in real contrast with the exterior.

سنة ١٨٥٠ إشترى الشيخ عبّاس الخازن حجارةً مقصوبةً لبناء حارته. خلال ثورة الفلاّحين صادر الثوّار الحجارة بأمر قائدهم الياس المنيّر وبنوا بها كنيسةً رعائيّةً حتّى لا تصير مُطالبة بالحجارة، فجاء البناء عقدًا سريريًّا. رُمّمت الكنيسة أواخر القرن العشرين وهي تحوي العديد من اللوحات المحليّة.

The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help - Haret el Mir, Zouk Mikael

It was built using building stones that were originally purchased by Sheikh Abbas el Khazen in 1850 for the construction of his mansion. However, during the peasant revolution of 1858, a group of revolutionaries led by Elias el Mnayyar confiscated the stones and used them to build a cross-vaulted church. As the stones were used to build a parochial church, no one could claim ownership over them. The church features many locally made paintings and was renovated at the end of the 20th century.

بُنيت الكنيسة الأولى بالقرب من قناة جرًّ للمياه، كانت نساء القرية يغسلن ثيابهنّ بقربها أيّام السبوت، لذلك سمّي الموضع الغسّالة وحملت الكنيسة إسم سيّدة الغسّالة. بُنيت الكنيسة الحاليّة سنة ١٩٢٧ بمسعى من أبناء البلدة المغتربين. تتميّز الكنيسة أنّها مكسوّة الداخل بالكامل بالنقوش، تحوي عدّة جداريّات فريدة كجداريّة الذبيحة الإلهيّة حيث يظهر الكأس يعلوه النجم، وجداريّة الصدقة.

The first church was built on a site near an aqueduct where the village’s ladies used to wash their laundry hence the name in Arabic Ghessele invoking laundry washing. The first church held the name of the site. In 1927 the new church was built with donations made by Kobayaty expats. The church is covered on the inside with painted stucco. The church holds distinctive unique frescoes such as the fresco of the Holy Sacrifice with the distinctive oriental liturgical altar paraments, and the fresco of the alm.

هي كنيسة صغيرة قائمة على أطراف البلدة. تاريخ بنائها مجهولُ، لكنّ هندستها تشير أنّها تعود للقرون الوسطى. الكنيسة عبارة عن قبو عقدٍ سريريٍّ ينتهي بحنية. تحوي الكنيسة على لوحة للمستشرق البولونيّ بول شلافاك تعود للقرن التاسع عشر.

The church of St Sophia - Zebdine

It is a small church in the village’s vicinity. The date it was built is unknown, yet its architecture is typical for the high middle ages.The church is a crypt with a crib vault ending with an apse. The church holds a painting by the polish orientalist Paul Shlavak.
