محبسة مار بهنام - وادي حدشيت قنوبينمحبسة قديمة من القرن الثالث عشر، وهي قبو بعقد سريريّ وثلاث حنايا. تحتوي المحبسة على بقايا رسم جداريّ وكتابةً سريانيّة، ومذبح مصنوع حجريّ. أمّا مار بهنام فهو أميرٌ فارسٌ من بلاد ما بين النهرين، ترك كلّ ما له وفضّل الإستشهاد في سبيل المسيح على ترك إيمانه، نال إكليل الشهادة في القرن الرابع. واتصلت شفاعته بالموارنة من خلال الرهبان اليعاقبة في شمال لبنان.The hermitage of St Bahnam - The valley of Hasdshit QannoubineIt is an old XIIIth century hermitage, that consists of a single crib vault ending with three apses, with a stone altar, fresco remains and Syriac calligraphy. St Bahnam was a prince from Assyria, who preferred to leave his privileged life for the love of Christ, and he preferred martyrdom over recanting his Christian faith in the IVth century. He was made known to the Maronites by the Jacobite monks of Northern Mount Lebanon.

The church of our Lady of Hawsh - Ghalboun

The church was built in 1947 with the aid of Taleb Khairalla Chahin. The structure is based on a single nave basilical plan. The church was built over the ruins of a Byzantine monastery and was restored many times.

بنى الموارنة كنيستهم الأولى في معراب على أنقاض هيكل رومانيّ وثنيّ. خُرّبت هذه الكنيسة الأولى مع حملة المماليك على كسروان سنة ١٣٠٥. أعاد أبناء البلدة بناء الكنيسة على إسم ما باسيليوس وغريغوريوس، وأخذت شكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٨٨٥. في هذه الكنيسة يرقد على رجاء القيامة المطران بولس فؤاد نعيم تابت (١٩٢٩-٢٠٠٩) وهو أوّل سفير بابويّ مارونيّ لبنانيّ.


The first church was built by the Maronites over a roman pagan temple. The church was destroyed during the Mamluk’s campaign on Keserwan in 1305. After their return, the villagers reconstructed the church and it was consecrated to Sts Basil and Gregory. It took its final shape in 1885. The church is the final resting place of Bishop Paul Fouad Naim Tabet (1929-2009), the first Lebanese Maronite Papal nuncio

كنيسة مار جرجس - دير القمر

بُنيت الكنيسة بعد قدوم آل الكك الى دير القمر وتركهم بلدة دميت، وأُكمل البناء سنة ١٦٨٤. الكنيسة وقف لآل الكك، رُمّمت ووُسّعت على عدّة مراحل. تتميّز الكنيسة بمذبح مار أنطونيوس الكبير وهو ذكر من كنيسة دميت الأثريّة، وأيقونة مار جرجس الشهيد.

St. George’s church - Deir el Qamar

The church was built by the Kek family after they came to Deir el Qamar from Dmit, and completed in 1684. It is a private family chapel restored on many occasions. The church holds a side altar of St. Anthony the Great, reminiscent of the historic church in Dmit, and a local icon of St George.
