كنيسة مار يوحنّا المعمدان الأثريّة - صليما

يعود بناء الكنيسة إلى سنة ١٦٥٨، فمع توافد الموارنة إلى البلدة شرعوا ببناء كنيسة. ساعدهم على بنائها الآباء الكبوشيّون الذين بدؤا رسالتهم في دير مار بطرس في البلدة وجلبوا لإعانة موارنة البلدة معونة ماديّة من الكاردينال ريوشوليو وزير الملك لويس الثالث عشر. سنة ١٦٨٤ كرّس المذبح البطريرك أسطفان الدويهيّ. البناء كناية عن عقدِ مُصالب، يتميّز ببابٍ فخمٍ قدّمه أمراء آل أبي اللمع. تعرضت الكنيسة للتخريب إبّان الحرب الأهليّة اللبنانيّة. ورمّمت في تسعينيّات القرن العشرين

St. John the Baptist Ancient Church - Salima

The construction of the church dates back to the year 1658 when the Maronites began to settle in the town and started building a church. The Capuchin fathers, who began their mission at the Monastery of St. Peter in the town, assisted them in its construction. They brought financial assistance from Cardinal Richelieu, the Minister of King Louis XIII, to support the Maronites of the town. In 1684, Patriarch Estephan Douaihy consecrated the altar. The building is in the shape of a crucifix and is distinguished by a magnificent door donated by the Al Abi Al Lamaa family. The church suffered damage during the Lebanese Civil War and was restored in the 1990s.

كنيسة مار جرجس: غلبون

كنيسة القرية الأولى كانت تقع في محلّة الحوش. بعد توسّع القرية مع بداية القرن التاسع عشر، قرّر الأهالي بناء كنيسةٍ جديدةٍ مكان محبسة مار جرجس والتي كانت قائمة بدورها على أنقاض معبدٍ فارسيٍ. وواجهة الكنيسة الغربية ما زالت تحتفظ بشعار الإمبراطوريّة الفارسية، النمر وزهرة اللّوتوس.. أما المذبح القديم فقد إستقدمه الخوري بطرس أبي سليمان من روما، بواسطة البطريرك الياس الحويّك. ورُسمت على جدران الكنيسة أيقونات بريشة كنعان ديب الذي رسم أيقونة مار جرجس القديمة،سنة ١٩٠٤. سنة ٢٠٠٦ رُمّمت الكنيسة.

The church of St George - Ghalboun

The first parochial church was built in the Hawsh area. With the expansion of the village in the beguiling of the XIXth century the locals decided to build their new church over an old hermitage dedicated to St George. The hermitage was built over a Persian Achaemenid watch tower. The church’s western wall still holds a stone from the old tower with Achaemenid engravings: a tiger and a lotus. The church was decorated with frescoes and a painting of St George by Kanaan Dib in 1904. The old marble altar was brought from Rome by Fr. Boutros Abi Sleiman with the aid of Patriarch Elias Howeyck. In 2006 the church was restored.

كنيسة مار سمعان العاموديّ - عوسطا

هي كنيسة البلدة الرعائيّة. أُتِمّت بسعي رئيس الجمهوريّة آنذاك الشيخ بشارة الخوري في خمسينيّات القرن العشرين. نمط البناء بازيليكيّ بسيط، مع واجهة نيوغوطيّة. تتميّز الكنيسة بمذابحها الثلاث وجرن عمادها من الرخام الأبيض المنحوت، كذلك ثلاث لوحات تعود لمدرسة الأرت ديكو.

The church of St Simon the Stylite - Ghosta

The church is Ghosa’s parish church. It was built with the aid of then president Sheikh Bechara el Khoury in the fifties of the XXth century. Its style is basilical with a neo gothic facade. The church holds three ornate white marble altars and a baptistery, with three art deco paintings.
