بُنيت الكنيسة أوّلاً سنة ١٤٧٠ ورُمِّمَت سنة ١٧٧٦. هي الوحيدة في الشّرق التي تحمل شفاعة هذا القدّيس. الكنيسة ما زالت تُحافظ على الشَعريّة التي تفصل أماكن جلوس الرجال عن النّساء وهي مِن صُنعٍ مِصريّ تعود للقرن الثامن عشر. مذبح الكنيسة إكتُشف إبّان الترميم الأخير مِن سنة فرمِّمَ وأُعيد لبهائه الأصليّ. لوحة مار أوْتِل تعود لسنة ١٩٠٣. مار أوْتِل هو شفيع كفرصغاب إذ حماها من داء الطاعون، لذلك تُقيم البلدة تذكارًا رسميًّا لهُ في ٣ حزيران وتذكار هذه المعجزة في ٢٧ آب. كذلك مار أوْتِل هو شفيع المسافرين وإليه ينسب حماية بعض أبناء كفرصغاب من الغرق في سفينة التيتانيك سنة ١٩١٢.The church was first built in 1470 and restored in 1776. It is the only church in the east consecrated to St Awtel. The church still conserves the traditional wooden separator between men’s and women’s sitting place, made in Egypt in the XVIIIth century. The painting of St Awtel dates back to year 1903. The old altar was discovered a year ago during restoration. Kfarsghab celebrates two feasts of the saint on the 3rd of june and the 27th of august when the saint miraculously protected the village from the plague. St Awtel is also the patron of the travelers since he miraculously protected the Kfarsghaby passengers of the Titanic in 1912.

كنيسة السيّدة - عين إبل

بدأ بناء الكنيسة سنة ١٨٦٦ بمسعى من الخوري إبراهيم خريش، اذ لاحظ المطران بطرس البستانيّ أن الكنيسة القديمة أصبحت ضيّقة وكانت الرعيّة تتمّم واجباتها الدينيّة في بيت الكاهن. فبدأ مشروع بناء الكنيسة الكبيرة. في الكنيسة ثلاث لوحات واحدة منها نسخة عن لوحة السيّدة والطفل لرافاييل، مار مارون ومار يوسف للفنّان مارون ضو. في باحة الكنيسة نصب لشهداء البلدة الذين رقدوا بالربّ سنة ١٩٢٠. ومنحوتة مصلوب على شجرة طبيعيّة.

The church of the Our Lady- Ain Ibl

The church was built in 1866 with Fr Ibrahim Khoreish. Back then Bishop Boutros el Boustany noticed that the old church is too small for the congregation that was celebrating mass in the priest’s house. The church holds a replica of Rafael’s Madonna, St Maroun and St Joseph by Maroun Daou. In the church’s backyard stands the memorial of the martyrs of the town who were martyred in 1920 and the crucified put on a natural tree.

دير مار يوسف - بحرصاف

شيّدت الرهبانيّة الأنطونيّة المارونيّة دير مار يوسف في بلدة بحرصاف، سنة ١٨٥١. خلال الحرب العالميّة الأول إحتلّ الجيش العثمانيّ الدّير. فتوسل الأب المدبّر يوسف الحاج بطرس ونسيبه الأب انطون إلى القائد رضا باشا كي لا تُدنّس الكنيسة، فشطب القائد صورة مار يوسف بسيفه وأمر ذلك الطاغية، فنفيا إلى الأناضول. ومات هناك الأب يوسف من جرّاء معاملات قاسية ونجا رفيقه بأعجوبة. أُعيدت الحياة إلى الدّير بعد رحيل العثمانيّين سنة ١٩١٨، فرُمّم وأُعيد تكريس الكنيسة. رُمّم الدّير مجدّدًا مع بداية القرن الحاليّ، وهو مستمرّ برسالته الروحيّة والرهبانيّة.

The monastery of St Joseph - Bhorsaf

The monastery was built in the town of Bahersaf by the Maronite Antonine monks in 1851. During World War I, the Ottoman army occupied the monastery. Fr. superior Youssef El Hajj Boutros, and his cousin, Father Anton, pleaded with the commander, Reza Pasha, to prevent the desecration of the church. Due to their plea, the tyrant ordered their immediate exile to Anatolia. Father Youssef died there due to harsh treatment, but his companion miraculously survived. The monastery was revived after the departure of the Ottomans in 1918, and the church was repaired and rededicated. The monastery was renovated again at the beginning of this century and continues with its spiritual and monastic mission.

كنيسة سيّدة الغسّالة - القبيات
بُنيت الكنيسة الأولى بالقرب من قناة جرًّ للمياه، كانت نساء القرية يغسلن ثيابهنّ بقربها أيّام السبوت، لذلك سمّي الموضع الغسّالة وحملت الكنيسة إسم سيّدة الغسّالة. بُنيت الكنيسة الحاليّة سنة ١٩٢٧ بمسعى من أبناء البلدة المغتربين. تتميّز الكنيسة أنّها مكسوّة الداخل بالكامل بالنقوش، تحوي عدّة جداريّات فريدة كجداريّة الذبيحة الإلهيّة حيث يظهر الكأس يعلوه النجم، وجداريّة الصدقة.

The church of Our Lady of Ghassala - Kobayat
The first church was built on a site near an aqueduct where the village’s ladies used to wash their laundry hence the name in Arabic Ghessele invoking laundry washing. The first church held the name of the site. In 1927 the new church was built with donations made by Kobayaty expats. The church is covered on the inside with painted stucco. The church holds distinctive unique frescoes such as the fresco of the Holy Sacrifice with the distinctive oriental liturgical altar paraments, and the fresco of the alm.
