بُنيت الكنيسة أوّلاً سنة ١٤٧٠ ورُمِّمَت سنة ١٧٧٦. هي الوحيدة في الشّرق التي تحمل شفاعة هذا القدّيس. الكنيسة ما زالت تُحافظ على الشَعريّة التي تفصل أماكن جلوس الرجال عن النّساء وهي مِن صُنعٍ مِصريّ تعود للقرن الثامن عشر. مذبح الكنيسة إكتُشف إبّان الترميم الأخير مِن سنة فرمِّمَ وأُعيد لبهائه الأصليّ. لوحة مار أوْتِل تعود لسنة ١٩٠٣. مار أوْتِل هو شفيع كفرصغاب إذ حماها من داء الطاعون، لذلك تُقيم البلدة تذكارًا رسميًّا لهُ في ٣ حزيران وتذكار هذه المعجزة في ٢٧ آب. كذلك مار أوْتِل هو شفيع المسافرين وإليه ينسب حماية بعض أبناء كفرصغاب من الغرق في سفينة التيتانيك سنة ١٩١٢.The church was first built in 1470 and restored in 1776. It is the only church in the east consecrated to St Awtel. The church still conserves the traditional wooden separator between men’s and women’s sitting place, made in Egypt in the XVIIIth century. The painting of St Awtel dates back to year 1903. The old altar was discovered a year ago during restoration. Kfarsghab celebrates two feasts of the saint on the 3rd of june and the 27th of august when the saint miraculously protected the village from the plague. St Awtel is also the patron of the travelers since he miraculously protected the Kfarsghaby passengers of the Titanic in 1912.

دير مار جرجس الأحباش - وادي قنوبين

الدّير عبارة عن كهفٍ طبيعيٍّ يقع في وسط الجُرف الصخريّ ويضمُ كنيسةً ومدفنًا وبعض القلالي. يتمّ الوصول إليه عبر درجٍ من الحجارة المنحوتة. بنى الدّير رهبان مونوفيزيّين جاؤوا من الحبشة في القرن الثاني عشر بقصد التنسك. الكنيسة كناية عن تجويفٍ طبيعيًّ حُفرت حنيتها على شكل عقدٍ مكسورٍ مُليّسة بالكلس، ومزيّنة برسومٍ جداريّة ذات أشكال هندسيّة تنتمي لفنّ الكنيسة الحبشيّة. في الكنيسة كذلك مذبح مربّع الشكل.

The monastery of St George of the Abyssinians - the valley of Qannoubine

The monastery is a natural cave in a cliff consisting of a church, a necropolis and some cells. It is accessible trough a carved stair. The monastery was built by Jacobite monks from Abyssinia during the XIIth century. The church is a natural cave with a carved apse covered by limestone gypson with a geometrical motif fresco from the Ethiopian art tradition, the church also has a squared altar.

دير مار موسى الحبشيّ - بلّونه

أواسط القرن السادس عشر بنى مشايخ آل الخازن دارًا واسعة في بلوّنه. في هذه الدّار أخفت الستّ نسب التنّوخيّة الأميرين فخر الدّين ويونس معن، عن أعين الدّولة العثمانيّة بعد موت والدهما قرقماز، تحت وصاية الشيخ أبا صقر إبراهيم الخازن، من سنة ١٥٨٤ إلى سنة ١٥٩٠.
في ١٤ كانون الأوّل ١٧٨٥ أوقف الشيّخ عبد السلام بن عبد الملك الدّار وكنيسة مار موسى بداخله، ليصبح ديرًا وأثبت هذه الوصيّة البطريرك يوسف أسطفان.
تولى رئاسة الدّير المطران يوسف اسطفان الأوّل أسطفان سنة ١٧٨٦، سافر الى روما بالسنة ذاتها، حيث قابل البابا بيوس السادس الذي أنعم بغفرانٍ كاملٍ لكلّ من يقدّس على مذبح الدير بموجب براءة بتاريخ ١٧٨٨.
الجدير بالذكر أنّ الكنيسة هي مثال نادر على حفاظها على حالتها الأولى، من الزخارف والمذبح والشعريّة وبيض النعام فوق المقدس.

The Monastery of St Moses the Abyssinian - Ballouneh

During the mid XVIth century, the lords of the feudal Khazen house built an estate in Ballouneh. In this house Lady Nasab Tannoukh hid her two sons Fakher Ed Dyn and Youness Maan after the assassination of their father. The princes where under the custody of Sheikh Aba Sakr Ibrahim El Khazen from 1584 till 1590.
On the 14th of December 1785, Sheikh Abdul Salam Bin Abul Malik el Khazen converted the estate and the chapel inside it, into a monastery by a decree of Patriarch Youssef Estephan.
In 1786 Bishop Youssef Estfan I el Khazen was appointed superior of the monastery. He traveled to Rome and met the Pope Pius VI who gave a plenary indulgence to all who celebrate mass on the monastery’s altar in 1788.
What is worth mentioning is that the church is a rare example of intact XVIth century church architecture, conserving original elements.

كنيسة مار يوسف - عشقوت

كنيسة مار يوسف في محلّة جبل عشقوت، تم تشييدها سنة ١٩٢٦. الكنيسة وقف لآل موسى بنوها لبُعد مساكنهم عن البلدة. الكنيسة صغيرة عبارة عن عقدٍ مصالبٍ، إختبأ فيها الفراريّة خلال الحرب العالميّة الثانية.

The Church of St. Joseph - Ashqout

The Church of St. Joseph is located in the mountains surrounding Ashqout and was built in 1926 as a private chapel for the Moussa family. They built it because their homes were far away from the village center. The church is a small crossed vault and housed fleeing outlaws during World War II.
