دير مار فوقا - غلبون دير مار فوقا في أعالي بلدة غلبون يعود بناؤه إلى الحقبة البيزنطيّة في القرن السادس. مع مرور الزمن، أصبح الدير أطلالًا وعبثت فيه عوامل الطبيعة. بقي من البناء بقايا الكنيسة التي أخذت شكلها الحاليّ في القرون الوسطى. الكنيسة بسوقٍ واحد بدون سقف وبحنية دائريّة. The monastery of St Focas - Ghalboun The monastery of St Focas was built in the VIth century during the Byzantine era. With time the monastery became abandoned, the only remains were those of the church that took its shape in the middle ages. The church is a single nave structure with no roof and a semi circular apse.

كنيسة السيّدة - وادي جزّين

بُنيت الكنيسة الأولى أواخر القرن الثامن عشر وهي كنيسة صغيرة بسقف خشبيّ بهبة من الشيخ بشير جنبلاط. نجت هذه الكنيسة بأعجوبة من الخراب خلال أحداث ١٨٤٠ حين حاول المعتدون إحراق السقف الخشبيّ فلم يحترق وسنة ١٨٦٠ حين وريت بالضباب. سنة ١٨٩٠ أخذت الكنيسة شكلها الحاليّ، لكنّ البناء لم يكتمل إلّا سنة ١٩٠٣ بسعي أبناء البلدة في الأرجنتين. في الكنيسة لوحتان للسيّدة إحداهما تعود للقرن الثامن عشر، والأخرى تعود لسنة ١٩٠١ من عمل الياس الأسمر كرم.

The church of Our Lady - Wadi Jezzine

The first church was built in the XVIIIth century, it was a small church with a wooden ceiling, on a plot of land donated by Sheikh Bachir Joumblat. The church was miraculously saved from being burned in 1840, and was hidden by a thick fog from the eyes of the aggressors during the war of 1860. In 1890 the church took its final shape with a stone vaulted ceiling. the church was finally completed in 1903. The church holds two paintings of the Virgin Mary: an XVIIIth century icon , and another one from 1901 by Elias Asmar Karam.

دير مار جرجس الأحباش - وادي قنوبين

الدّير عبارة عن كهفٍ طبيعيٍّ يقع في وسط الجُرف الصخريّ ويضمُ كنيسةً ومدفنًا وبعض القلالي. يتمّ الوصول إليه عبر درجٍ من الحجارة المنحوتة. بنى الدّير رهبان مونوفيزيّين جاؤوا من الحبشة في القرن الثاني عشر بقصد التنسك. الكنيسة كناية عن تجويفٍ طبيعيًّ حُفرت حنيتها على شكل عقدٍ مكسورٍ مُليّسة بالكلس، ومزيّنة برسومٍ جداريّة ذات أشكال هندسيّة تنتمي لفنّ الكنيسة الحبشيّة. في الكنيسة كذلك مذبح مربّع الشكل.

The monastery of St George of the Abyssinians - the valley of Qannoubine

The monastery is a natural cave in a cliff consisting of a church, a necropolis and some cells. It is accessible trough a carved stair. The monastery was built by Jacobite monks from Abyssinia during the XIIth century. The church is a natural cave with a carved apse covered by limestone gypson with a geometrical motif fresco from the Ethiopian art tradition, the church also has a squared altar.
