كنيسة سيّدة الحصن - إهدنفي القرن السادس بنى الجراجمة الذين استوطنوا إهدن حصنًا على تلّةٍ مشرفةٍ على المدينة، على أنقاض هيكلٍ وثنيّ لِعَنَات إبنة إيل. جُعل الحصن كنيسةً على اسم العذراء مريم. سنة ١٢٨٣ خرّب المماليك الحصن، فأعاد الإهدنيّون بناؤه بعد ثلاث سنوات. البناء كناية عن عقدٍ سريريّ ينتهي بحنية، رمّم عدّة مرّات عبر تاريخه الطويل. الكنيسة تُعدّ مزارًا ومكان حَجٍّ يقصده المؤمنون للتبرّك. سنة ١٩٨٩ بنيت الكنيسة الجديدة.The church of Our Lady of the Fort - EhdenDuring the VIth century the Mardaites that came to Ehden built a fort with a small church over the ruins of an old pagan temple dedicated to Anaat daughter of Il. The church was dedicated to the Virgin Mary. In 1283 during the Mamluky raid the fort was sabotaged and rebuilt by the people of Ehden after three years. The structure is a small crib vault ending with an apse, it was renovated many times during its history. The church is considered a pilgrimage site. In 1989 a new church was constructed near the old one.
كنيسة سيّدة التلّة العجائبيّة - دير القمر بُنِيَتْ كنيسة سيِّدةِ التلَّة على أَنقاضِ هَيْكَلٍ وَثَنِيٍّ أُقيمَ لِعِبادَةِ الإلَهْ القَمَرْ، تَحَوَّلَ إلى مَعْبَدٍ مسيحيٍّ عَلى يَدِ النَاسك إبراهيم القورشيّ. رمّمها البيزنطيّين والفرسان التيتونيّين. خُرِّبَت الكنيسة بعد رحيل الصليبيّين. مع بِدايَةِ القَرْنِ السّادِسَ عَشَرَ، وجَدَ الأهالي حجر العتبة من الكنيسة الأصليّة وسمّوها سيّدة التلّة. كان ذلك سنة ١٥١٦. شهدت الكنيسة على تاريخ دير القمر العريق، ومذابح سنة ١٨٦٠ حيث خَلَّصت القدّيسة رفقا طفلًا من الموت بشكل عجائبيّ إذ خبّأته في ثوبها. هي كنيسة محجّ لكلّ أبناء المنطقة. معروفة بعجائبها الكثيرة وفضلها. تحوي الكنيسة على عدد كبير من اللّوحات والآثار الكنسيّة.
The Church of Our Lady Of Talleh - Deir el Qamar The church was originally a pagan temple for a moon deity, then converted into a church by the hermit Abraham of Cyr. It was restored by the Byzantines and the Teutonian knights. The church fell into despair after the Crusaders left, up until the sixteenth century, when local christians found the historical frontal stone and named their church Our Lady of the Hilll, it was consacrated in 1516. The church is a witness on the long history of Deir el Qamar and the massacres of 1860 when St Rafqa shielded a boy miraculously with her habit. The church is a pilgrimage site known for miraculous healings. It also contains a lot of paintings and church furnishings.
انطوش ولوحات كنيسة سيّدة التلّة - دير القمر. سنة ١٧٥٠، وهبت الستّ أمّون، والدة الأمير يوسف المعنيّ للرهبانيّة الحلبيّة اللبنانيّة، أربعة أقبية والدكاكين الموجودة فوقها والتي تقع الى جانب الكنيسة، من اجل تعليم الأولاد وفائدة الشعب الروحيّة. فأقامت الرهبانيّة أوّل مدرسة ديموقراطيّة في الشرق حيث كان يتعلّم مجّانًا أولاد الأمراء الى جانب أولاد الفلّاحين، من دروز ومسيحييّن، من بنين وبنات، على إثر قرار المجمع اللبنانيّ سنة ١٧٣٦. سنة ١٩٠١، أُعيد بناء الأنطوش. سنة ١٩٣٧، جرى أوّل إحتفال رسميّ بمناسبة عيد سيّدة التلّة في الأحد الاوّل من شهر آب، وذلك بمنشور صادر عن راعي الابرشيّة آنذاك المطران أوغسطين البستاني.
The Presbytery and the paintings of Our Lady of Talleh - Deir el Kamar In 1750 Lady Amoun of house Maan, mother of Prince Yousef, gave the Alepine Maronite Order four crypts and some commercial stores near the church to convert them into a school and provide spiritual assistance for the locals. The new school was the first democratic school in the Levant, teaching for the first time students from all backgrounds: Christians Druze, nobles peasants, boys and girls, in accordance with the precepts of the Lebanese council held in 1736. The presbytery was rebuilt in 1901. In 1937 a new feast day of Our Lady of Talleh was celebrated for the first time on the first Sunday of august.
دير مار شليطا - القطّارة ميفوق تَقَرَّر في مجمع الرهبانيَّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة العام المنعقد في ١٦ تشرين الثاني ١٨٤٧، في عهد الأب العام عمَّانوئيل الأشقر، وبرضى البطريرك يوسف راجي الخازن، فَصل بعض أرزاق من دير سيِّدة ميفوق لإنشاء دير في محلَّة القطَّارة شرقيِّ ميفوق، على اسم القدِّيس شلِّيطا. سنة ١٨٥٠، بدء بناء الدّير وكان إتمام بناء الكنيسة سنة ١٨٦١، فَكَرَّسها البطريرك بولس مسعد. عُيِّن هذا الدير، سنة ١٨٧٠، مدرسةّ لتعليم اللغات الأجنبيّة، وكان يضمُّ أيضًا عددًا من المبتدئين. وتجدر الإشارة إلى أنَّ هذا الدير لا يزال حتَّى أيَّامنا يقوم بزراعة أشجار التوت واستخدامها في إنتاج مواسم الحرير. كما يضمّ الدّير محبسة.
The Monastery of St Challita - El Qattara Mayfouk.
On the 16th of October 1848 the monastic chapter of the Lebanese Maronite Order decided to separate some lands from the monastery of our Lady of Mayfouk to found a monastery dedicated to St Challita, during the mandate of Abbot Emmanuel El Achkar. In 1850, works on the monastery began and were concluded in 1861 when Patriarch Boulos Massad consecrated the church. The monastery was made a school for foreign languages and a novitiate. The monastery still has a great traditional silk production - a rare preservance in Lebanon. The monastery holds also a hermitage.
أواخر القرن الثامن عشر استوطن عبدين عائلات من الفلّاحين شركاء لمشايخ آل صعب، وبنوا لهم قبوًا صغيرًا ليكون كنيسةً مكرّسة لمار سابا. سنة ١٨٨٤ بوشر بناء الكنيسة الحاليّة بسعي الخوري يوحنّا العلم وتمّ البناء سنة ١٨٨٩. تحوي الكنيسة لوحة لمار سابا من عمل كنعان ديب تعود لسنة ١٨٥٣.
The church of St Sabas - Abdin
At the end of the XVIIIth century, the village of Abdin was inhabited by families who worked for the Saabs, a local feudal family. The first inhabitants built a small vault to be dedicated as a church. In 1884 with the aid of Fr Youhanna El Alam a new church began to be built. The construction was done in 1889. The church holds a painting of St Sabas by Kanaan Dib dating back to 1853.
