يعود بنا هذه الكنيسة إلى القرون الوسطى وتتألف من كنيستين:
الكنيسة القديمة ‏جدرانها مكسوة بالجداريات. هي من النوادر في العمارة الكنيسة لأن فيها حنيتان يتوسطهم رسم المصلوب. مواضيع الجداريات: الشفاعة، العذراء على العرش محاطة بمار بطرس وبولس، ذبيحة النبي ابراهيم، آثار لجدرانيات أخرى باتت مندثرة.
اما الكنيسة الثانية فهي أحدث عهداً ملاصقة للأولى، مبنية على النمط البازيليكي بثلاث اسواق، وامامها رواق بالحجر المعقود.
بقيت الكنيسة مستخدمة الى القرن التاسع عشر حين نزح آخر موارنة البلدة. ومنذ عام ٢٠١٢ انطلق مشروع ترميم الكنيسة.


This church is built in the medieval ages, and is composed of two parts:
The old church has walls filled with frescoes. It is one of the very rare churches in which you can see the crucified drawn between two naves.
The drawings are as follows:
The Deisis, Mary the throne of wisdom, surrounded by Saints Peter and Paul, Abraham's sacrifice, in addition to different frescoes that are damaged and can hardly be seen now.
The second church is just next to the first, but built in a later era, in a basilical form with three aisles.
The church was still in use by the maronite community until the 19th century.
Since 2012 a project to renew the church was launched.

كنيسة سيّدة الإنتقال الجديدة - بقاع كفرا

هي الكنيسة الرعائيّة الجديدة. بُنيت على سطح الكنيسة القديمة، سنة ١٩٢٥. تجمع بين القديم والحديث. مسقوفة بالقرميد من الخارج، أمّا من الداخل، فسقفها بغداديّ. تتألق الكنيسة سوق واحدة، وتحتوي على رسومات وصُوَر وزخارف ونقوش على جدرانها، وزجاجيّات على شبابيكها.

The New church of Our Lady of Assumption - Bekaa Kafra

The new parish church of Our Lady was built on top of the old one in 1925, and consists of one nave. The walls are lavishly decorated with frescoes mouldings and arabesques. The roof is of local type of decoration called Baghdady. The church also contains beautiful stained glass windows.

دير مار ضومط للآباء الكرمليّين - القبيات

بذأت زسالة الآباء الكرمليّين في القبيّات أوائل القرن التاسع عشر. سنة ١٨٣٥، بدؤا بناء ديرهم، بعد ان أوقف لهم الارض جبّور سيف حبيش. كان في تلك الأرض آثار كنيسةِ لمار ضومط، والعديد من الآثار التي بيعت لبناء الكنيسة الجديدة. بّنيت الكنيسة بشكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٨٥٢، وجدّدت على الطراز النبو غوطي سنة ١٩١٤. لعب الدّير دورًا هامًا في تاريخ البلدة خصوصًا أنّه ضمّ مدرسةً لتعليم الأحداث.

The monastery of St Doumit of the Carmelite fathers - Kobayyat

The Carmelite mission in the region of Kobayyat began in the dawn of the XIXth century. In 1935 Jabbour Seif Hobeich donated a piece of land to build a monastery. In this land where a ruined church dedicated to St Doumit and lots of ancient artifacts that where sold to museums to build the monastery. In 1852 the current church was built, and it 1914 it was remodeled with a neo gothic style. The monastery played an important role in the community”s history specially on the educational level with the famous Carmelite school.
