كنيسة سيّدة اللوزة – حاقل

يعود بناء الكنيسة إلى القرن السابع للميلاد. البناء كناية عن عقدٍ سريريّ ينتهي بحنية. هي من أقدم الكنائس في لبنان، ويعود سبب تسميتها إلى رمزيّة اللوز في الكتاب المقدّس، فاللوزة هي أوّل شجرة تُزهر مُعلنة قدوم الربيع، وقد رأى الآباء في اللوزة رمزًا لإيمان مريم العذراء. كانت هذه الكنيسة منطلقًا للعلّامة إبراهيم الحاقلاني قبل ذهابه إلى روما سنة 1616، وللحاج سلهب الحاقلاني مؤسس دير سيّدة اللويزة – ذوق مصبح سنة 1682. تضمّ الكنيسة نقوشًا صليبيّة على الكلس، لوحة السيّدة من القرن السادس عشر، ونسخة أحدث عنها، مذبح أساسيّ رخاميّ يعود لسنة 1923، ومذبح خلفيّ خشبيّ.

The church of our Lady of Almonds - Haqel

The church was built in the VIIth century. The structure consists of a crib vault. It is one of the oldest churches in Mount Lebanon. The origin of the name Lady of Almond is Biblical, the almond tree being the first tree that blossoms announcing spring. Early Church fathers saw in the almond tree a symbol of the Virgin Mary. The church was the parish of Ibrahim Haqlany before he went to Rome in 1616, and the monk Salhab Haqlany founder of the monastery of Our Lady of Louaize Zouk Mosbeh in 1682. The church holds engravings dating back to the crusaders era, a XVIth century Marian icon and a latter replica, a main marble altar fron 1923, and a wooden altar at the end of the church.

كنيسة مار سمعان العاموديّ - عوسطا

هي كنيسة البلدة الرعائيّة. أُتِمّت بسعي رئيس الجمهوريّة آنذاك الشيخ بشارة الخوري في خمسينيّات القرن العشرين. نمط البناء بازيليكيّ بسيط، مع واجهة نيوغوطيّة. تتميّز الكنيسة بمذابحها الثلاث وجرن عمادها من الرخام الأبيض المنحوت، كذلك ثلاث لوحات تعود لمدرسة الأرت ديكو.

The church of St Simon the Stylite - Ghosta

The church is Ghosa’s parish church. It was built with the aid of then president Sheikh Bechara el Khoury in the fifties of the XXth century. Its style is basilical with a neo gothic facade. The church holds three ornate white marble altars and a baptistery, with three art deco paintings.

كنيسة سيّدة الحارة - زغرتا

في البدء كان البناءُ جزءًا من بيتٍ كبيرٍ لوقف زغرتا، استعمله الأهالي مستودعًا لأدوات البناء عندما حاول الزغرتاويّون بناء كاتدرائيّة سنة ١٨٩٩ في المكان القائمة فيه الآن كنيسة مار يوحنّا المعمدان. ولمّا لم تتيسر الأموال لإتمام البناء، طلبت السيّدة آسة أرملة سليم بك كرم من الخوري سعاده حنا ديب سعاده أن يُستعمل هذا البيت معبدًا على اسم سيّدة الحارة، بعد الحصول على إذنٍ من البطريركيّة المارونيّة. رُممّت هذه الكنيسة مرارًا ووُسّعت وأُضيفت لها قبّة جرس. أُهملت الكنيسة بعد بناء كنيسة مار يوحنّا المعمدان المحاذية لها. أُعيد تجديدها سنة ٢٠٠٠.

The church of our Lady of Hara - Zgharta

The building was originally a tool basement for a house owned by the parish of Zgharta. In 1899 after the failing to build a cathedral nearby due to the lack of funds, a local lady named Assa, who is the widow of Selim Bey Karam asked Fr. Saade Hanna Dib Saade to convert the structure into a church dedicated to the Virgin Mary after the approval of the Maronite Patriarch. The church was renewed many times and a bell tower was added. However, after the construction of St John’s church nearby it fell into disuse. It was finally renewed in the year 2000.
