دير مار ادنا - العاقورة

ادنا هو لقب سريانيّ لمار طراخونيوس، وهو من القدّيسين الأكثر شهرة عند موارنة القرون الوسطى. بني هذا الدّير سنة ٥٠٩ على أنقاضٍ رومانيّة ما زالت ماثلة، ويتألّف من كنيسة بخوروسين ما يزال القسم الجنوبيّ منها ماثل. بقيّة الدّير ودير البنات أي دير الراهبات العابدات الذي بقربه أنقاض. قنطرة الحنية مزيّنة بالعديد من الصلبان والنقوش التي ترمز للتجسد والفداء. كان الدّير مقرًّا لأساقفة العاقورة مدى قرون ومن أشهرهم البطريرك يوحنا السابع العاقوري الذي توفي سنة ١٣٥٧.

The monastery of St Edna - Aqoura

Edna is a title given by syriacs to St Trakhonius, who was one of the most venerated saints by the medieval Maronites. The monastery was built in 509 over roman ruins that are still visible, and it consists of a two aped church, with the southern part of the church still standing. The rest of the church and monastery and the adjacent nunnery are all in ruins. The apse is decorated with crosses and symbols of the Incarnation and Redemption. The monastery was the seat of Aqoura’s bishops for centuries, the most famous of them was patriarch John VII El Aqoury who died in 1357.

دير سيّدة هابيل البطريركيّ - هابيل

البناء يعود لأواخر الحقبة البيزنطيّة، إنتقل إليه البطريرك يوحنا اللحفدي في القرن الثاني عشر وبقي مقرًّا بطريركيًّا الى عهد البطريرك إرميا العمشيتي. البناء كناية عن بقايا ديرٍ مع أقبية وأروقة، لم يسلم منه سوى الكنيسة وهي عقدٍ سريريّ بخوروسين، رُمّمت سنة ٢٠١٢.

The patriarchal monastery of our Lady of Habil - Habil

The church was first built during the Byzantine era. During the XIIth century patriarch Youhanna el Lehfedy made it his patriarchal seat, and it remained that way until the reign of patriarch Jeremiah of Amshyt. What remains of the patriarchal seat are the ruins of old crypts, the church still stands: it is a cribed vault with two choirs and two semi circular apses. The church was restored in 2012.

كنيسة تلاميذ مار مارون - مزرعة يشوع

بُنيت الكنيسة الأولى شرفيّ البلدة أواخر القرن الثامن عشر. أعاد الأهالي بناء الكنيسة سنة ١٨٨٣ في موقعها الحاليّ. البناء كناية عن عقدٍ مُصالب ينتهي بحنية نصف دائرية. رمّمت الكنيسة أواخر القرن العشرين.

The Church of the Holy Martyrs, Disciples of St. Maroun - Mazraat Yashou’

The first church was built at the end of the XVIII century east of the village. The villagers rebuilt it in its current location in 1883. The structure is a cross-vault with a semi-circular apse. The church was restored during the nineties.
