تأسّست أولى الأخويّات المريميّة في دير القمر سنة ١٧٦٩، وبنى أعضاؤها كابيلّا سيّدة البشارة سنة ١٧٧٧ في حارة الخندق. رُمّمت سنة ١٨٢٢. ومع إعلان عقيدة الحبل بلا دنس سنة ١٨٥٤ كُرّس التمثال الجديد والأخويّة لإكرام سيّدتنا مريم العذراء البريئة من دنس الخطيئة الأصليّة، وأصبحت هذه الكنيسة تحتفل بيوم ٨ كانون الأوّل عيدًا لها. شهدت هذه الكنيسة إجتماع رجالات دير القمر ليلة مجازر ١٨٦٠. تتميّز الكنيسة كونها حافظة لذاكرة إحدى أقدم أخويّات لبنان، وهندستها الشرقيّة التي تمثّل العهد المعنيّ بمدخلها والدار التي تتقدّمها.The first Marian Confraternity was founded in Deir el Qamar in 1769, and this chapel was founded by the members in 1777, in the Al Khandak neighborhood. The church was restored in 1822. In 1854, and with the proclamation of the Immaculate Conception dogma, a Marian statue was brought to the church and all of the confraternity was consecrated to the Immaculate Mother. Since then, the church became a shrine for the Immaculate Conception and its feast day became on the 8th of December. The church was the witness to the last reunion of Deir el Qamar’s men on the night of 1860’s massacre. This church is a memorial of one of Lebanon’s oldest confraternities. The architecture is one of the rarest models of the Maan’s era with a decorated portico and a frontal patio

في أواخر القرن التاسع عشر، بدأت الإرسالية الأميركية الإنجيلية مهمّتها في مدينة زحلة. قامت هذه البعثة ببناء كنيسة بتصميم يشبه بيوت المدينة في تلك الحقبة الزمنية. في بداية القرن الحادي والعشرين، بعدما بدأ عدد المؤمنين بالانخفاض، تم شراء الكنيسة من قبل دير مار أنطونيوس الكبير التابع للرهبنة اللبنانية المارونية، وتحويلها إلى كنيسة مخصصة للقديسة رفقا.

The Church of St. Rafqa - Zahle

In the last decades of the 19th century, an American evangelical mission was established in Zahle. This mission built a church in the local architectural style of houses during that time. In the beginning of the 21st century, after the number of evangelicals began to dwindle, the church was bought by the Monastery of St. Anthony the Great of the Lebanese Maronite Order, who converted it into a chapel dedicated to St. Rafqa. Iglesia de Santa Rafka - Zahle En las últimas décadas del siglo XIX se estableció en Zahle una misión evangélica estadounidense. Esta misión construyó una iglesia según el estilo arquitectónico local de las casas de la época. A principios del siglo XXI, después de que el número de evangélicos empezara a disminuir, la iglesia fue comprada por el Monasterio de San Antonio el Grande de la Orden Libanesa Maronita, que la convirtió en una capilla dedicada a San Rafka.

كنيسة مار يعقوب المقطّع - رشدبّين

كنيسة صغيرة تعود من حيث الهندسة والشكل إلى العصر البيزنطيّ وتقع بقرب المعبد الرومانيّ. تتألف من عقد سريريّ بحنيةٍ واحدة. يشكّل الجزء الأماميّ من الكنيسة قسم للموعوظين. ومار يعقوب هو قديّس فارسيّ من القرن الرابع، كان فارسًا نبيلاً، ولم يجحد إيمانه فنال إكليل الشهادة.

The church of St Jacob the Persian - Reshdebbin

A small church near the old roman temple. It dates back to the Byzantine era according to its architecture. The church consists of a crib vaulted ceiling ending with a single apse. The frontal part is occupied by a narthex. St Jacob was a Persian third century noble knight who suffered martyrdom so he wouldn’t recant his faith.

كنيسة السيّدة الجديدة - صربا الجنوب

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٩٤٦ وكرّسها المطران أغوسطينوس البستاني. بناؤها بازيليكيّ الطراز بثلاث أسواقٍ وحنية نصف دائريّة. رُمّمت الكنيسة بعد زلزال سنة ١٩٥٦، وأُضيفت إليها قبّة الجرس. تضمّ الكنيسة أيقونةً أورشليميّة عجائبيّة للسيّدة العذراء وهي التي حمت الأهالي خلال الحرب العالميّة الأولى.

The new Church of Our Lady - Sarba, South Lebanon.

The church was constructed in 1946 and consecrated by Archbishop Augustine el-Boustany. This basilical church features three naves and a semi-circular apse. Following the earthquake of 1956, the structure underwent restoration, and a bell tower was subsequently added to the church. Notably, the church houses an icon of the Theotokos from the school of Jerusalem, which is believed to possess miraculous properties. According to the local community, this icon protected the village during World War I, serving as a source of divine intervention and safeguarding.
