كنيسة سيّدة الزروع - دير الأحمرمنذ القرن السابع عشر سكن الرعاة النازحون من جبّة بشرّي والعاقورة بلدة دير الأحمر، وبدأوا ببناء كنيسة للسيّدة على اسم سيّدة الزروع بإذن مشايخ آل حرفوش، وحفروا بقربها بئراً. في الربع الأوّل من القرن السابع عشر سنة ١٦٢٥ انتُخب القس يوحنا من بيت قيزوح على دير مار اليشع بشري ودير الأحمر بحسب كتاب تاريخ الأزمنة للبطريرك الدويهيّ، وجُعلت هذه الكنيسة مقرًّا له. سنة ١٧٥٩ هُدمت الكنيسة بفعل زلزالٍ كبيرٍ ضرب المنطقة، ولم يبقَ منها سوى حجر عتبة الباب. أعيد بناء الكنيسة الحاليّة في النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين.The Church of Our Lady of ٍSown - Deir el AhmarFrom the beginning of the XVIIth century, many families of shepherds relocated from the regions of Bsharre and Aqoura to Deir el Ahmar. With the approval of the local lords of the Harfoush family, the locals began the construction of a church dedicated to our Lady of the Sown, and they dug a well near it. In 1625 Deir el Ahmar had a bishop as indicated by Patriarch El Douwaihy in his book Tarikh al Azmina where he talks about the monk John of the house Qaizouh bishop of the monastery of St Elishaa and Deir el Ahmar, this bishop had this church as a residence. In 1759 the church was destroyed by an earthquake and only a fraction of the tympant remained of the old church. The church was reconstructed in the second half of the XXth century.

كنيسة مار سركيس وباخوس - طورزا

بُنيت سنة ١٤٧٠ بحسب تأريخ الشدياق انطونيوس العنطوري، وورد ذكرها كذلك مع البطريرك اسطفانوس الدويهيّ في تاريخ الأزمنة. البناء الحاليّ يعود لسنة ١٨٦٨، لكنّ الكنيسة رُممّت ووسّعت على عدّة مراحل. تتميّز الكنيسة بعقدها المصالب ذات اللونين وهو من حجر مقالع البلدة المحليّ. في سبعينيّات القرن العشرين أضاف أحد أبناء البلدة المغترين قبّة الساعة. تضمّ الكنيسة ثلاث لوحات للفنّان داوود القرم، أمّا الزجاجيّات فهي من عمل الأب عبده بدوي.

The church of Sts Sergius and Bacchus - Tourza

The church was built in 1470 according to the chronicles of the Subdeacon Antonyos El Aintoury, and it is also mentioned in Patriarch Stephen El Douaihy's "History of the Times". The current building dates back to 1868, yet the church was restored and enlarged on many occasions. The church consists of a crossed vault with two colors stones from the local quaries. During the seventies an emigrant donated the unique clock tower. The church holds three paintings from Dawoud Al Qorm dating back to 1892, and stained glass windows by Fr Abdo Badawi.

دير مار جرجس الأحباش - وادي قنوبين

الدّير عبارة عن كهفٍ طبيعيٍّ يقع في وسط الجُرف الصخريّ ويضمُ كنيسةً ومدفنًا وبعض القلالي. يتمّ الوصول إليه عبر درجٍ من الحجارة المنحوتة. بنى الدّير رهبان مونوفيزيّين جاؤوا من الحبشة في القرن الثاني عشر بقصد التنسك. الكنيسة كناية عن تجويفٍ طبيعيًّ حُفرت حنيتها على شكل عقدٍ مكسورٍ مُليّسة بالكلس، ومزيّنة برسومٍ جداريّة ذات أشكال هندسيّة تنتمي لفنّ الكنيسة الحبشيّة. في الكنيسة كذلك مذبح مربّع الشكل.

The monastery of St George of the Abyssinians - the valley of Qannoubine

The monastery is a natural cave in a cliff consisting of a church, a necropolis and some cells. It is accessible trough a carved stair. The monastery was built by Jacobite monks from Abyssinia during the XIIth century. The church is a natural cave with a carved apse covered by limestone gypson with a geometrical motif fresco from the Ethiopian art tradition, the church also has a squared altar.

على إثر أحداثٍ ألمّت بأهل بعبدات، إنضمّ العديد منهم إلى الكنيسة الغربيّة اللاتينيّة أواخر القرن التاسع عشر. تلبيةً لحاجاتهم الروحيّة ولأجل تأسيس رعيّة لهم، بنى الآباء الكبوشيّون ديرًا ومدرسةً سنة ١٩٠٠. زيّنوا الكنيسة بجداريّات بديعة على النسق الإيطاليّ السائد في تلك الفترة.

The monastery of St Anthony of Padua - Baabdate

After sectarian conflicts between the villagers of Baabdate, many of them joined the Roman Catholic Church in the late XIXth century. To serve them spiritually a congregation of Minor Friars built a house, a school, and a parish church in 1900. The church was decorated with Italian styled frescoes.
