كنيسة سيّدة البشارة القديمة - درب السيمبنى الصليبيّون الكنيسة في القرن الثاني عشر بهندسةٍ دفاعيّةٍ، الكنيسة مؤلفة من سوقٍ واحدة بعقدٍ مصالبٍ. مع رحيل الصليبيّين أصبح البناء بيد مشايخ آل الجواد الشيعة الذين حافظوا عليه طوال قرون. مع قدوم الموارنة إلى البلدة في القرن الثامن عشر، أعاد لهم الشيخ منصور الجواد البناء، فأعادوا تكريس الكنيسة وبناء المذبح. خربت الكنيسة في أحداث ١٨٦٠ و١٩٨٥ ورمّمت مرّتين.لوحة سيّدة البشارة هي من محفوظات الكنيسة الجديدة، من عمل الرسّام أندريه نمّور.The old church of Our Lady of the Annunciation - Darb el SimThe church was built by the crusaders in the XIIth century. The structure consists of a single nave with a crossed vault, and many defensive elements. After the crusaders left, the structure was left with a feudal Shia family, the Sheikhs of Al Jawad. With the settlement of the Maronites in the village during the XVIIIth century, Sheikh Mansour Al Jawad gave them back the church. The Maronites reconsecrated it and built a new altar. The church was sabotaged during the wars of 1860 and 1985 and restored twice.The painting of the Annunciation is contemporary made by Andre Nammour.

كنيسة مار يوسف - وطى الجوز
بنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٩١٧ فوق كنيسةٍ أقدم عهدًا. رمّمت وأخذت شكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٩٧٥. لوحة مار يوسف من عمل كنعان ديب الدلبتاوي تعود لسنة ١٨٦٨. تتميّز الكنيسة بقبّة حجريّة بشكل طابيّة كاهن يعلوها صليب.

The church was built in 1917 over an older church, and took its final form in the restoration of 1975. The painting of St Joseph is made by Kanaan Dib in 1868. The bell tower is topped by a sculpture of a Tabye, the traditional maronite priestly hat, with a cross over it.

كنيسة القدّيسة صوفيا - زبدين

هي كنيسة صغيرة قائمة على أطراف البلدة. تاريخ بنائها مجهولُ، لكنّ هندستها تشير أنّها تعود للقرون الوسطى. الكنيسة عبارة عن قبو عقدٍ سريريٍّ ينتهي بحنية. تحوي الكنيسة على لوحة للمستشرق البولونيّ بول شلافاك تعود للقرن التاسع عشر.

The church of St Sophia - Zebdine

It is a small church in the village’s vicinity. The date it was built is unknown, yet its architecture is typical for the high middle ages.The church is a crypt with a crib vault ending with an apse. The church holds a painting by the polish orientalist Paul Shlavak.

بنى الموارنة كنيستهم الأولى في معراب على أنقاض هيكل رومانيّ وثنيّ. خُرّبت هذه الكنيسة الأولى مع حملة المماليك على كسروان سنة ١٣٠٥. أعاد أبناء البلدة بناء الكنيسة على إسم ما باسيليوس وغريغوريوس، وأخذت شكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٨٨٥. في هذه الكنيسة يرقد على رجاء القيامة المطران بولس فؤاد نعيم تابت (١٩٢٩-٢٠٠٩) وهو أوّل سفير بابويّ مارونيّ لبنانيّ.


The first church was built by the Maronites over a roman pagan temple. The church was destroyed during the Mamluk’s campaign on Keserwan in 1305. After their return, the villagers reconstructed the church and it was consecrated to Sts Basil and Gregory. It took its final shape in 1885. The church is the final resting place of Bishop Paul Fouad Naim Tabet (1929-2009), the first Lebanese Maronite Papal nuncio
