دير مار حوشب - لحفد

دير مار حوشب يقع شرقيّ البلدة. وهو عِبارة عن كَهف في الشير المُسمَّى شير العاميّة. بُنيَ الدير في القَرن الثاني عشر، إذ اختار البطريرك يوحنا اللِحفِدي أحد أساقفته الأربعة للإقامة فيه. وللدّير ثلاث صوامع متعلقة به وهي اليوم آثار.

The monastery of St Eusabius of Caesarea - Lehfed

The monastery is located in the eastern side of the village, like the old monasteries of the Qadisha valley. It is a cave inside a cliff called El Aamlyeh. The monastery dates back to the XIIth century, when Patriarch John of Lehfed appointed one of his four bishops as it’s head.

كنيسة مار جاورجيوس - المحيدثة بكفيّا

تسلّمت الرهبانيّة الباسيليّة الشويريّة حجّة عام ١٧٢٦ لبناء كنيسة على إسم مار جرجس للروم الملكييّن الكاثوليك فشرعت بالبناء، وشهدت مراحل ترميم وتوسعة عام ١٩٠٠ و٢٠١١. تتميّز الكنيسة بالإيقونات المقدسيّة والبلديّة التي تعود للنصف الثاني من القرن الثامن عشر.
تخدم كنيسة مار جرجس كلّ أبناء المنطقة وهي أمّ الرعايا الملكيّة والأقدم بينها.

St George’s church - El Mhaydse Bikfaya

The Bassilian Choueirite order received permission to build a church in Bikfaya in 1726, and decided to dedicate the new church to St George. The church underwent major restorations in 1900 and 2011. The church holds a collection of icons from the School of Jerusalem and some other local icons. The icons date back to the XVIIIth century. The church is the mother parish of all the Melkites in the region.

كاتدرائيّة مار الياس المارونيّة صيدا
بناها المطران أغوسطينوس البستاني على إسم شفيع المدينة مار الياس الحيّ، لتكون كرسيًّا رسميًّا له في المتروبوليّة. وكان ذلك سنة ١٩٣٨. يَذكر الكتاب المقدّس أنّ مار الباس مرّ في صيدا وهي جزء من الأراضي المقدّسة وعلى اسمه أربع كنائس مارونيّة في المدينة. الكنيسة مبنيّة على النمط البازيليكيّ، لوحة الحنية من رسم الفنان اسعد رنّو. تعرّضت للحرق ابان الحرب الأهليّة سنة ١٩٨١. وأُعيد ترميمها مؤخّرًا سنة ٢٠١٧. من أبرز ما تحويه ذخيرة عود الصليب التي حملها مطران صيدا مار انطونيوس خريش (البطريرك لاحقًا) على إثر المجمع الفاتيكاني الثاني.

St Elijah’s Maronite Cathedral Sidon.
It was built during the mandate of archbishop Augustin El Boustany, and was dedicated to Elijah the prophet patron saint of the city, to become the bishop's official new cathedral in the metropolitan city. It was built in 1838 in a basilical plan. The Old Testament states the visit of the prophet to the city. That explains the presence of four churches dedicatd to him in the city. The main painting in the apse is the work of the Lebanese painter Assaad Renno.
The cathedral was burnt down during the civil war in 1981, and finally restored in 2017. Its most prized treasure is the Holy Cross relic brought back from the Second Vatican Council by Archbishop Antonios Khoraish (Later Maronite Patriarch).
