كنيسة سيّدة الساحة - البترونشيّدت الكنيسة على أنقاض كنيسةٍ قديمةٍ نهاية القرن التاسع عشر. سعى في إتمامها آل عقل نظرًا لقرب دارتهم من الكنيسة، وكان ذلك لإستقبال البطريرك الياس الحويّك ابن حلتا البترونيّة ليقيم القدّاس فيها أثناء زياراته للمدينة. رممّت على مراحل خلال القرن العشرين.The Church of Our Lady of the Saha - BatrounThe church is located in a town square hence its name "Al Saha". It was built in the late XIXth century over an older church. The sponsors of the construction project were the Akl family since their estate was nearby and they needed a chapel for Patriarch Elias El Howayek from Helta to say mass during his visits to the city. بنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٩٤٩ بسعي حثيث من خادم الرعيّة آنذاك الخوري بولس العلم، الذي ما وفّر جهدًا مع أبناء البلدة المهاجرين لبناء كنيسة كبيرة للبلدة. هي الكنيسة الوحيدة المكرّسة لسيّدة المهاجرين التي يقع عيدها في ١٨ أيلول من كلّ عام، تذكار هجرة المسيح الى مصر. المذبح الكبير مستقدم من دير راهبات الناصرة في بيروت سنة ١٩٦٢، وهو إيطاليّ الصنع. أمّا اللوحات فوق المذابح فهي من عمل يوسف بو هارون من زغرتا، وفي الكنيسة لوحة أخرى للسيّدة من عمل جوزيف فبيان العلم.

The church of Our Lady of Immigrants - Abdin

The church was built in 1949 with the aids of the village’s diaspora and the hard work of Fr Boulos El Alam who raised funds for the project. It is the only church with this dedication. Its feast day is celebrated on the 18th of September every year, the commemoration of the Flight to Egypt. The high altar is Italian and was brought from The Sisters of Nazareth Monastery in Beirut in 1962. The paintings over the altars are the work of Joseph Bou Haroun. The church holds another painting of the Madona done by Joseph Fabien El Alam.

سنة ١٩٠٤ قُسِّمت كنيسة مار جرجس بين آل الراعي وآل الريّس. فقرّر يوسف الريّس البقاء مع أخواله في الكنيسة القديمة، لكنّه عاد سنة ١٩٠٦ وقرّر إنشاء كنيسة جديدة لمار جرجس مع عددٍ من عائلات البلدة. بقيت هذه الكنيسة مًقفلة حتّى ستينيّات القرن العشرين حين أّعيد افتتاحها وتكريسها على إسم مار الياس. الكنيسة مسقوفة وتحوي ثلاث حنايا. تضمّ الكنيسة ساعة طنّانة، وتحوي لوحةُ من عمل حبيب سرور.

The church of St Elijah - Hemlaya

In 1904 the old St George’s church was divided between the Rahi and the Rayess families. Back then Youssef El Rayess decided to stay with his uncles, yet in 1906 he decided to build a new church dedicated to St George with a number of the village’s families. This church remained closed until the sixties when it was rededicated to St Elijah. The church is a roofed structure with three apses, it holds a clocktower and contains a painting of St Elijah by Habib Srour.

محبسة مار سمعان العاموديّ - بقرقاشا

هذه المحبسة المبنيّة في حرف شيرٍ صخريّ، تعود للقرون الوسطى. بحسب البطريرك الدويهيّ بنتها سنة ١١١٢ تقلا إبنة الخوري باسيل البشرّاني على إسم مار جرجس ومار ضوميط، وما برحت وتحوّلت على اسم مار سمعان العاموديّ. يشهد على ذلك كتاب الريش قُريان السريانيّ الخاص بالمحبسة، الذي يعود لسنة ١٢٤٢، وهو محفوظ في جامعة السلامانكا.

St Simon the stylite hermitage - Bqorqasha

The hermitage is built on the slope of a rocky cliff in the holy valley of Qannoubin. It dates back according to patriarch Stephen Al Douwaihy to year 1112 when Thekle the daughter of a priest named Basil of Bsharre built a hermitage dedicated to Sts George and Doumith, that was rededicated to St Simon the stylite. A Syriac lectionary proper to the hermitage, the Rish Qoryan, dating back to 1242, that was discovered and conserved in Salamanca’s university, attests this story.
