كنيسة سيّدة الساحة - البترونشيّدت الكنيسة على أنقاض كنيسةٍ قديمةٍ نهاية القرن التاسع عشر. سعى في إتمامها آل عقل نظرًا لقرب دارتهم من الكنيسة، وكان ذلك لإستقبال البطريرك الياس الحويّك ابن حلتا البترونيّة ليقيم القدّاس فيها أثناء زياراته للمدينة. رممّت على مراحل خلال القرن العشرين.The Church of Our Lady of the Saha - BatrounThe church is located in a town square hence its name "Al Saha". It was built in the late XIXth century over an older church. The sponsors of the construction project were the Akl family since their estate was nearby and they needed a chapel for Patriarch Elias El Howayek from Helta to say mass during his visits to the city. الكنيسة الحاليّة مبنيّة في موضعٍ رومانيّ، بُني مكانه كنيسةً يعقوبيّة في القرون الوسطى. سنة ١٧٤١ إكتُشِفَت في الموقع أيقونةً للعذراء مريم. بُنيت في الموقع الكنيسة الحاليّة بشكل عقدٍ سريريّ وحنية نصف دائريّة. سنة ١٩٠٤ جلب الرهبان اليسوعيّون تمثالاً لعذراء بونتمان الفرنسيّة مازال بقلب الكنيسة. تشتهر هذه الكنيسة بحدوث العديد من المعجزات والكرامات بشفاعة العذراء مريم، وهي محجّ مريميّ كبير.

The miraculous church of our Lady of Bechouat - Bechouat

The first church was built on a roman site, it was a medieval Jacobite church. In 1741 a marian icon was discovered in this site. The current church was built on the site, consisting of a single crib vault and a semi circular apse. In 1904 the jesuits on a mission in the region brought to the village a replica of the French marian statue of Pontmain that is still enshrined in the church. The church is famous for being a pilgrimage site with many miracles attributed to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin.

كنيسة السيّدة الكبرى - بيت شباب

الكنيسة الحاليّة مبنيّة على أنقاض كنيستين: الأولى مجهولة تاريخ البناء وكانت صغيرة واطئة بنيت قرب مصب الينبوع وكانت قائمة في القرن السادس عشر، الثانية وكانت تُعرف بسيّدة الجوزة، بدأ بناؤها سنة ١٧٠٣ في مكانها الحاليّ. كرّسها في ١٠ أيّار سنة ١٧١٦ البطريرك يعقوب عوّاد، جلب لوحاتها من روما الخورأسقف يوسف السمعاني. سنة ١٩٠٣ بوشر بناء الكنيسة الحاليّة، وهي بازيليكيّة الطراز بثلاث أسواق وعقدٍ بغداديّ، تحوي خمس مذابح رخاميّة. كرّسها سنة ١٩٤٠ الخورأسقف يوسف الحايك. رمّمت الكنيسة عدّة مرّات. وهي أكبر كنيسة في بيت شباب تشتهر بأبراج أجراسها.

The church of our Lady the Major - Beit Shabab

The current church was built over two older churches. The first one was built near the village’s water fountain, its history is unknown, yet it was in use during the XVIth century. The second one was in the current place, it was known as our Lady of the Walnut tree. Construction began in 1703 and it was consecrated by Patriarch Yaaqoub Awad on the 10th of May 1716. The paintings of the church were brought from Rome by Mgr Youssef el Semaani. The current church was built in 1903, it is a basilical structure with three naves and five marble altars. It was consecrated in 1940 by Mgr Youssef el Hayek. The church underwent many restorations, it is famous for the three bell towers on its facade

كنيسة سيّدة الحصن - إهدن

في القرن السادس بنى الجراجمة الذين استوطنوا إهدن حصنًا على تلّةٍ مشرفةٍ على المدينة، على أنقاض هيكلٍ وثنيّ لِعَنَات إبنة إيل. جُعل الحصن كنيسةً على اسم العذراء مريم. سنة ١٢٨٣ خرّب المماليك الحصن، فأعاد الإهدنيّون بناؤه بعد ثلاث سنوات. البناء كناية عن عقدٍ سريريّ ينتهي بحنية، رمّم عدّة مرّات عبر تاريخه الطويل. الكنيسة تُعدّ مزارًا ومكان حَجٍّ يقصده المؤمنون للتبرّك. سنة ١٩٨٩ بنيت الكنيسة الجديدة.

The church of Our Lady of the Fort - Ehden

During the VIth century the Mardaites that came to Ehden built a fort with a small church over the ruins of an old pagan temple dedicated to Anaat daughter of Il. The church was dedicated to the Virgin Mary. In 1283 during the Mamluky raid the fort was sabotaged and rebuilt by the people of Ehden after three years. The structure is a small crib vault ending with an apse, it was renovated many times during its history. The church is considered a pilgrimage site. In 1989 a new church was constructed near the old one.
