أنطش مار يوسف - بسكنتاسنة ١٧٧٠ بدأ أهالي بسكنتا ببناء كنيسة على إسم القدِّيس يوسف، لكنّ البناء تعثّر. فكان ذلك سببًا لدعوة الرهبانيَّة اللبنانيَّة إلى تسلُّمها، سنة ١٧٧١، بناءً على طلب الأهالي. مقابل ذلك، كان على الرهبانيَّة أن تنشئ مدرسةً لتعليم الأحداث وإرشاد القريب في الأمور الروحيَّة. أتمَّت الرهبانيَّة، سنة ١٧٧٦، تشييد الكنيسة، وأنشأت مدرسةً على اسم القدِّيس يوسف، فكانت أقدم مدرسةٍ في بسكنتا، تهتمُّ بتعليم الأولاد مبادئ الدين والأخلاق، واللغتَين السريانيَّة والعربيَّة.The presbytery of St Joseph - BaskintaIn 1770 the locals of Baskinta began building a church dedicated to St Joseph, yet due to the lack of funds, they decided to hand the church to the Lebanese Maronite Order. The agreement was settled in 1771 and a school to teach the children and provide spiritual guidance was erected by the order. In 1776 the church was dedicated and the first Baskintan school opened providing a program that teaches Syriac, Arabic, Morals, and Catechism.

The church dates back to the Phoenician era with a high vault. The great frensh orientalist Ernest Renan retraced its history with its huge stone pillars. The church had a great Phoenician tympant with two snakes revolving around a globe. The huge stone was taken to the Louvre museum by Renan.
The final stage and most recent construction dates back to 1870 when the church was rededicated by bishop Yousef el Marid.

تعود الى العهد الفينيقي لأنها مبنيّة بعقد قصبة مرتفعة وكانت معبدًا وثنيًّا.
أشار إرنست رينان الى وجود اعمِدة أثريّة استُعملت في مداميك البناء. رُمّمت وزيد عليها مع تعاقب المراحل التاريخيّة.
رينان انتزع عتبة الكنيسة وأرسلها الى متحف اللوفر في باريس، وهي تحمل نقشًا من الرموز التي كانت شائعةً في الدين الفينيقي يمثّل كرةً تلتفُّ حولها حيّاتٌ مجتمعة الأذناب في أعلاها
رُمِّمت هذه الكنيسة عدَّة مرّات، وكُرِّست عام 1870 بيد المطران يوسف المريض. وصورة مار جرجس فيها هي بريشة الرسّام بولس شلافك

هي كنيسة صغيرة في البلدة، بُنيت سنة ١٨١٦. البناء كناية عن عقدٍ سريريّ بسيط، يعلوه تمثال لمار أنطونيوس البادوانيّ حاملاً الطفل.

A small church on the outskirts of the village, built in 1816. The structure is a simple crib vault, with St Anthony's statue over the building.

دير سيّدة البشارة الخازن لراهبات الزيارة - زوق مكايل

سنة ١٨٢٥ بعد وفاة الشيخ بشارة جفال الخازن، كرَّس البطريرك يوسف حبيش حارته ديراً على اسم سيّدة البشارة. كان الدير أوّلاً خاصًا ببنات عائلة الخازن، اللواتي نظمن حياتهنّ بحسب قانون مار فرنسيس السالسيّ لراهبات الزيارة. مع مرور الزمن أصبح الدير يستقبل كافة البنات اللواتي يُردن اعتناق الحياة الديريّة التأمليّة المحصنة. وراهبات الزيارة ما زلن يحافظن على نمط حياةٍ تقليديّ بحسب قانونهنّ. كنيسة الدّير مسقوفة، تتميَز بخوروس الراهبات الموجود آخر الكنيسة وهو أعلى من مستواها، خلف مكان جلوس العوام، يعلوه متخّتين للراهبات العجائز.

The monastery of the Annunciation Khazen for the Visitandine nuns - Zouk Mikael

In 1825 after Sheikh Bchara Jaffal el Khazen passed away, Patriarch Youssef Hbeich converted his estate into a nunnery dedicated to our Lady of the Annunciation. The nuns where essentially from the Khazen family and adopted the rule of St Francis of Sales for the visitandine sisters while remaining maronites. With time the monastery began to accept girls from outside of the Khazen family who wanted a strict observance and a contemplative way of life that is still practiced today. The chapel of the monastery is roofed, it is distinguishable by it’s nuns choir at the end of the church, and three mezzanines used by older nuns to participate in the liturgy.
