كنيسة مار أليشاع - عمشيت سنة ١٨٠٧ بدأ بناء الكنيسة على يد فارس شاهين يوسف كرم، وكرّست سنة ١٨١٤. البناء كناية عن عقدٍ مُصالبٍ، مقسوم إلى قسمين مفصولين بشعريّة خشبيّة. سنة ٢٠٠٦ أثناء الترميم ظهرت في الكنيسة رسوماً جدرانية في حنية المذبح تعود إلى زمن بنائها. تضمّ الكنيسة مذبحًا إنعاميًّا مُغفّرًا من البابا لاون الثالث عشر. تحوي الكنيسة على لوحة لمار إليشاع من عمل جوستي، لوحة لمار شليطا من عمل عبدالله مطر اللحفدي ولوحة لمار روكز. The church of St Elishah - Amshit In 1807 the construction of the church began with Fares Chahin Youssef Karam, it was completed in 1814. The structure is a crossed vault cut in half with a wooden rood screen. In 2006 during restoration, XIXth century frescoes appeared in the apse. The high altar is a privileged altar by decree of pope Leo XIII. The church holds a painting by Josty depicting St Elishaa, a painting of St Chalita by Abdalla Matar El Lehfedy and a painting of St Roch.

كنيسة السيّدة الكبرى - بيت شباب

الكنيسة الحاليّة مبنيّة على أنقاض كنيستين: الأولى مجهولة تاريخ البناء وكانت صغيرة واطئة بنيت قرب مصب الينبوع وكانت قائمة في القرن السادس عشر، الثانية وكانت تُعرف بسيّدة الجوزة، بدأ بناؤها سنة ١٧٠٣ في مكانها الحاليّ. كرّسها في ١٠ أيّار سنة ١٧١٦ البطريرك يعقوب عوّاد، جلب لوحاتها من روما الخورأسقف يوسف السمعاني. سنة ١٩٠٣ بوشر بناء الكنيسة الحاليّة، وهي بازيليكيّة الطراز بثلاث أسواق وعقدٍ بغداديّ، تحوي خمس مذابح رخاميّة. كرّسها سنة ١٩٤٠ الخورأسقف يوسف الحايك. رمّمت الكنيسة عدّة مرّات. وهي أكبر كنيسة في بيت شباب تشتهر بأبراج أجراسها.

The church of our Lady the Major - Beit Shabab

The current church was built over two older churches. The first one was built near the village’s water fountain, its history is unknown, yet it was in use during the XVIth century. The second one was in the current place, it was known as our Lady of the Walnut tree. Construction began in 1703 and it was consecrated by Patriarch Yaaqoub Awad on the 10th of May 1716. The paintings of the church were brought from Rome by Mgr Youssef el Semaani. The current church was built in 1903, it is a basilical structure with three naves and five marble altars. It was consecrated in 1940 by Mgr Youssef el Hayek. The church underwent many restorations, it is famous for the three bell towers on its facade

بُني الدير سنة 1700، آن عَرض الشيخ سليمان الهاشم العاقوريّ على الرهبانيَّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة أن يسلِّمها مزرعة حوب لتنشئ فيها ديرًا. حوالي سنة 1714، عرض أهالي تنُّورين على المؤسِّس المطران عبدالله قراعلي، أن يسلِّموه وقف مار ضومط، لتقوم الرهبانيَّة بتعليم الأحداث. أنشأت الرهبانيَّة، سنة 1749، ديرًا على اسم العذراء مريم، على أنقاض كنيسةٍ قديمة. ومن ثمَّ عملت الرهبانيَّة على توسيع أملاكها في المحلَّة. سنة 1766، أوقف الأمير يوسف شهاب خرائب مار يعقوب الوادي ومار أنطونيوس. وسنة 1790، جعلت الرهبانيَّة دير السيِّدة ودير مار أنطونيوس ديرًا واحدًا، حيث هو اليوم، على اسم القدِّيس أنطونيوس الكبير. قرب الدير أُنشئت محبسة على اسم مار جرجس خرّجت كوكبة من الحبساء القدّيسين. كنيسته تحوي مذابح رخاميّة ومجموعة زيتيّات أهمها لوحة مار انطونيوس الكبير لداود القرم.


The mission of the Lebanese Maronite order started in Tannourin during the year 1700 when a local feudal lord Sleiman Hashem el Akoury gave the order a farm in Houb to build a monastery. In 1714 Bishop Abdalla Qaraaly was given custody over the church of St Doumit in order to start a monastic school. In 1790 the monks joined the two monasteries of the Madonna and St Anthony into the one that stands today. Near the monastery St George’s hermitage was erected. The monastic church holds beautiful marble altars and many oil paintings. The most important painting is the one depicting St Anthony the Great, painted by Dawoud El Qorm

كنيسة مارت شموني - وادي حولات حدشيت

يُشَكِّل وادي حولات، جزءًا من وادي قاديشا.
بنيت كنيسة مارت شموني داخل تجويفٍ صخري، أواخر القرن الثاني عشر. تتألف من ثلاثة أسواق، إثنان أساسيّان مبنيان من الحجر والثالث محفور في الصَخر. كانت حتى ثمانينيّات القرن الماضي مَكسّوة بجداريات سريانيّة تعود للقرن الثالث عشر وتتشابه مع نظيراتها في بحديدات. على أبوابها نقوش مسيحانيّة ومريميّة.

The Church of Mart Shemouny- the valley of Houlat Hadshyt

The valley of Houlat is a part of the Qadisha valley. The church of Mart Shemouny was built in a rocky cliff, at the end of the XIIth century. It consists of three aisles: the two main ones are built with stone masonry, and the third is carved into the stone. Up until the 80’s the church was entirely covered by frescoes similar to those in Behdeidat. On the door are still visible Christological and Marial insignia.
