الصليب - دير القمر

سنة ١٩٢٩ قَرَّرَ الطوباويّ ّيعقوب الكبوشي بناء نُصُب الصليب على أعلى تلّة في دير القمر في محلّة كانت تُعرف بقلعة صور. وكان الهدف من البناء أن يُرفع صليب فوق مثوى من ماتوا دون جنازة في حرب سنة ١٩١٤، وأن يكون الصليب مواجهًا لبلدة بعقلين علامةً لحبّ المسيح لأبنائها ورحمته تجاههم على حدّ قول الأب يعقوب. وهَبَ الأرض لهذا المشروع ألمُثَلَّث الرحمات المطران أوغسطينوس البستاني رئيس أساقفة صيدا. إنتهت ألأشغال ببناء كنيسة صغيرة ترتفع عليها قاعدة يرتكز عليها الصليب، وقد تبرعت ١٤ عائلة من دير القمر ببناء مراحل درب الصليب تُحيط بالنُصب. وفي ١٤ أيلول سنة ١٩٣٢ تَمَّ تكريس المقام. تعرّض للتخريب خلال الحرب الأهليّة وأعيد ترميمه .

The Cross - Deir el Qamar

In 1929 Blessed Fr Jacob Haddad OFM, decided to build a cross on a hill called Qalaat Sour in Deir el Kamar. His ambition was lead by a desire to have a cross raised over all those who died in the war of 1914 without a proper burial, and that the cross would be facing the town of Baakline to be a sign of the Lord’s love and mercy towards its citizens. To accomplish this noble project, the bishop of Sidon Mgr Agustin el Boustany donated the land. A small chapel was built and over it the cross was raised. To help with the project, 14 families from the town donated to build the stations of the cross. The shrine was inaugurated and consecrated on the 14th of September 1932. The shrine was sabotaged during the civil war and restored during peace times.

كنيسة مار جاورجيوس - المحيدثة بكفيّا

تسلّمت الرهبانيّة الباسيليّة الشويريّة حجّة عام ١٧٢٦ لبناء كنيسة على إسم مار جرجس للروم الملكييّن الكاثوليك فشرعت بالبناء، وشهدت مراحل ترميم وتوسعة عام ١٩٠٠ و٢٠١١. تتميّز الكنيسة بالإيقونات المقدسيّة والبلديّة التي تعود للنصف الثاني من القرن الثامن عشر.
تخدم كنيسة مار جرجس كلّ أبناء المنطقة وهي أمّ الرعايا الملكيّة والأقدم بينها.

St George’s church - El Mhaydse Bikfaya

The Bassilian Choueirite order received permission to build a church in Bikfaya in 1726, and decided to dedicate the new church to St George. The church underwent major restorations in 1900 and 2011. The church holds a collection of icons from the School of Jerusalem and some other local icons. The icons date back to the XVIIIth century. The church is the mother parish of all the Melkites in the region.

كنيسة سيّدة الدرّ - بشرّي
سيدة الدرّ أو الوريسة كان معبدًا فينيقيًّا تحوّل الى كنيسة في القرن الحادي عشر. بحسب الأب بطرس ضو "تحوّل هذا المعبد الى كنيسة، وكان يوجد فيه رسوم جدرانيّة من القرن الثاني عشر وتحتوي على أسماء القدّيسين باليونانيّة، مما يدلّ على أن الموارنة في وادي قاديشا كانوا حتى القرن الثالث عشر على اتصال بالحضارة البيزنطيّة". الكنيسة عبارة عن مغارة محفورة في الصخر ذات خوروسين، لعلّ جداريتها الأجمل هي الظهور الإلهيّ.

The church of Our Lady of the Milk - Bcharre

The church of Our Lady of the Milk or El Waryse is a Phoenician temple converted in the XIth century. According to the historian Fr. Boutros Daw: ”The shrine was converted into a fresco covered church in the XIIth century with the saints name written in greek, indicating that the Maronites in that era kept contact with the Byzantines”. The church consists of a man made cave with a double apse. The best kept fresco is that of the Epiphany over the altar.
