دير كرمل والدة الإله والوحدة - حريصا

سنة ١٩٦١ أَذَن رئيس المجمع الشرقيّ الكاردينال تيسيران أن تنتقل ثلاث راهبات إسبانيّات كرمليّات من طقسهنّ اللاتينيّ الى الطقس البيزنطيّ بغية تأسيس دير كرمليّ مشرقيّ هدفه الصلاة لأجل وحدة الكنيسة. وقد شاءت العناية الإلهيّة أن تكون الراهبات من الأديار التي أسّستها تريزيا الأفيليّة بداية الإصلاح. إفتُتح الدّير في ٢٤ آب سنة ١٩٦٢. زاره البابوان يوحنّا بولس الثاني وبندكتوس السادس عشر إبّان زيارتيهما الرسوليّة الى لبنان. كنيسة الدّير بيزنطيّة الطابع مع فبّة، تتميّز كونها مغطاة بالجداريّات، وإيقونوستاز خشبيّ، وشعريّة الحصن للراهبات.

The Monastery of the Theotokos and the unity - Harissa

In 1961 his eminence Cardinal Tisserant agreed that three nuns join the Byzantine rite to create an oriental Carmelite nunnery with the aim of prayer to the unity of the church. The divine wisdom made the three nuns come from the original monasteries founded by St Theresa of Avila. The monastery was inaugurated on the 24 of august 1962. Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI visited the monastery upon their visit to Lebanon. The monastery’s church is of Byzantine style with a dome and a wooden iconostatis, it is fully covered with frescoes and has a distinctive seperator to demark the cloister of the nuns.

كنيسة سيّدة اليمونة - اليمونة

أواسط القرن التاسع عشر حمت السيّدة شخصًا من آل ياغي من الغرق فنذر بناء كنيسةٍ لها في اليمونة. الكنيسة صغيرة بعقدٍ مصالبٍ. تشتهر هذه الكنيسة بكونها مقامًا عجائبيّّا يقصده المسيحيّون والشيعة للتبرّك.

The church of our Lady of Yammouneh - Yammouneh

In the mid XIXth century a man from the Yaghy clan was saved from drowning with the miraculous intercession of Our Lady. He dedicated himself to build a church in Yammouneh as an act of thanksgiving. The church is small with a crossed vault. The shrine is considered holy for both christians and Shias, and it is an important pilgrimage site for both religions.

دير مار شليطا - القبيات

يقع الدّير في منطقة وادي حلسبان، في الأصل كان البناء معبدًا رومانيًّا للإله بان إله الرعيان والمواشي. حوّله الأهالي إلى كنيسةٍ بيزنطيّة على اسم القدّيس شليطا (أرتاميوس) شفيع الحيوانات والمواشي، إشارةً إلى تحوّلهم من الوثنيّة. بقي الدّير مُهملاً فترةً طويلةً، فآل إلى الخراب. خلال تسعينيّات القرن العشرين رُمّم الدّير، لكنّ الترميم أزال قسمًا كبيرًا من معالمه. أصبح الدّير اليوم مقصدًا للسيّاح ومحجًّا.

The monastery of Chalita - Kobayyat

The monastery is located in the valley of Helesban. The building was a roman temple dedicated to Pan the god of shepherds. The temple was converted into a church during the byzantine era and was dedicated to St Chalita (Arthemius) the patron saint of animals and heards. After the middle ages, the monastery fell into ruins for along time. The structure was restored in the last decade of the XXth century, yet the restoration destroyed many of the original elements. The monastery became a pilgrimage site.
