دير سيّدة البشارة بقلوش - ساحل علما يَعود إنشاء الدّير الى العام ١٧٨٠، يوم أوقَفَ الشَيخ ميلان ضِرغام الخازن، كُلَّ ما يَملُكَه لإنشاء دير تمّ بناؤه سنة ١٧٨٣. إتَخَذَه المُطران أنطون الخازن، مقراً لأبرَشيَّة بَعلبك. عام ١٨١٨، خُصِّصَ الدّير للراهِبات المُحَصَّنات، من جُملة الأديرة السِتّة التي خُصِّصَت للنِساء، ضِمن مُقَرَّرات مَجمَع اللويزة. وبَعدَ إنحِسار الدَعَوات النِسائية، هُجِرَ الدّير، وتَداعَت أبنيته، ولم يَبقَ مِنه إلا كَنيسته المَعقودة، التي ما زالت قائمة لتاريخه. تحوي الكنيسة لوحة صفدٍ مقدسيّة وبعض الأيقونات المحلية ولوحة البشارة، مع صلبوت (مجسّم للمصلوب) لرتبة السجدة. تضمّ الكنيسة مدفن المثلث الرحمات المطران أنطون نوفل حصن الخازن. The Monastery of the Annunciation Baqloush - Sahel Alma The construction of the monastery began in 1780 when Sheikh Milan Dergham el Khazen gave his possessions to build a monastery that was completed in 1783. Bishop Antoun el Khazen made it the episcopal residence of the bishops of Baalbeck. In 1818 the monastery was made one of the six nunneries for the contemplative maronite nuns by decree of the council of Louaizeh. The monastery fell into ruins after the nuns left, and only the church remained. The vaulted church holds a mother of peral inlayed icon with an agonizing crucifix, local icons and the painting of the Annunciation. The church also holds the sarcophagus of bishop Antoun Naufal el Khazen.

سيدة الدرّ أو الوريسة كان معبدًا فينيقيًّا تحوّل الى كنيسة في القرن الحادي عشر. بحسب الأب بطرس ضو "تحوّل هذا المعبد الى كنيسة، وكان يوجد فيه رسوم جدرانيّة من القرن الثاني عشر وتحتوي على أسماء القدّيسين باليونانيّة، مما يدلّ على أن الموارنة في وادي قاديشا كانوا حتى القرن الثالث عشر على اتصال بالحضارة البيزنطيّة". الكنيسة عبارة عن مغارة محفورة في الصخر ذات خوروسين، لعلّ جداريتها الأجمل هي الظهور الإلهيّ.

The church of Our Lady of the Milk - Bcharre

The church of Our Lady of the Milk or El Waryse is a Phoenician temple converted in the XIth century. According to the historian Fr. Boutros Daw: ”The shrine was converted into a fresco covered church in the XIIth century with the saints name written in greek, indicating that the Maronites in that era kept contact with the Byzantines”. The church consists of a man made cave with a double apse. The best kept fresco is that of the Epiphany over the altar.

مغارة القدّيسة مارينا - وادي قنّوبين

بالأصل هذه المحبسة مغارة طبيعيّة بقرب دير قنّوبين، قصدها الحبساء
للخلوة. الى هذه المغارة لجأت القديسة مارينا والولد اللقيط الذي ربّته واهتمّت به بعد طردها من الدّير، وفيها ماتت ودفنت. بحسب البطريرك الدويهيّ أخذ الصليبيّون جثمانها الى البندقيّة وبقيت يدها اليسرى في المغارة. أصبحت هذه المغارة محجًّا ومدفنًا لسبعة عشر بطريركًا سكنوا في دير قنّوبين، من يوحنّا الجاجيّ الى يوحنّا الحلو. سنة ١٩٠٩ خلال حبريّة البطريرك الياس الحويّك ، رُمّم المدفن، وبنيت للمغارة واجهة حجريّة، ووضع في داخله مذبح رخاميّ جديد.

St Marina’s Grotto - Qannoubine valley

The cave was a hermitage dependent of the monastery of Qannoubine. In this cave St Marina took refuge with the bastard child she raised after her unfair expulsion from the monastery. She was buried in the same cave that became a pilgrimage site. The Crusaders transferred her relics to Venice leaving only her left hand in the cave according to patriarch Douweihy. The cave became the patriarchal necropolis, a total of 17 patriarchs were buried there from John of Jaj to John El Helou. In 1909 during the pontificate of Patriarch Elias Howayek the necropolis was restored, a stone facade was built to the west, and a new marble altar was brought in.

كنيسة مار يوسف - الفريكة

بنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٨٧٦ وكانت وقفًا خاصًا لآل الهاشم. في ٢٦ تشرين الثاني سنة ١٩٠٠ إشتراها الأهالي بمصادقة المطران نعمة الله سلوان فأصبحت كنيسةً رعائيّة. الكنيسة كناية عن عقدٍ مصالبٍ ينتهي بحنية. لوحة مار يوسف تعود لسنة ١٩٢٨.

The church of St Joseph - El Fraykeh

The church was built in 1876 as a private chapel for the Al Hashem family. On the 26th of November 1900, the locals bought the church, and it was created a parish with the approbation of Mgr. Nemtallah Selwan Bishop of Cyprus. The church is a cross vaulted structure ending with a nave. The painting of St Joseph dates back to 1928.
