دير سيّدة البشارة بقلوش - ساحل علما يَعود إنشاء الدّير الى العام ١٧٨٠، يوم أوقَفَ الشَيخ ميلان ضِرغام الخازن، كُلَّ ما يَملُكَه لإنشاء دير تمّ بناؤه سنة ١٧٨٣. إتَخَذَه المُطران أنطون الخازن، مقراً لأبرَشيَّة بَعلبك. عام ١٨١٨، خُصِّصَ الدّير للراهِبات المُحَصَّنات، من جُملة الأديرة السِتّة التي خُصِّصَت للنِساء، ضِمن مُقَرَّرات مَجمَع اللويزة. وبَعدَ إنحِسار الدَعَوات النِسائية، هُجِرَ الدّير، وتَداعَت أبنيته، ولم يَبقَ مِنه إلا كَنيسته المَعقودة، التي ما زالت قائمة لتاريخه. تحوي الكنيسة لوحة صفدٍ مقدسيّة وبعض الأيقونات المحلية ولوحة البشارة، مع صلبوت (مجسّم للمصلوب) لرتبة السجدة. تضمّ الكنيسة مدفن المثلث الرحمات المطران أنطون نوفل حصن الخازن. The Monastery of the Annunciation Baqloush - Sahel Alma The construction of the monastery began in 1780 when Sheikh Milan Dergham el Khazen gave his possessions to build a monastery that was completed in 1783. Bishop Antoun el Khazen made it the episcopal residence of the bishops of Baalbeck. In 1818 the monastery was made one of the six nunneries for the contemplative maronite nuns by decree of the council of Louaizeh. The monastery fell into ruins after the nuns left, and only the church remained. The vaulted church holds a mother of peral inlayed icon with an agonizing crucifix, local icons and the painting of the Annunciation. The church also holds the sarcophagus of bishop Antoun Naufal el Khazen.

دير مار جرجس الأحباش - وادي قنوبين

الدّير عبارة عن كهفٍ طبيعيٍّ يقع في وسط الجُرف الصخريّ ويضمُ كنيسةً ومدفنًا وبعض القلالي. يتمّ الوصول إليه عبر درجٍ من الحجارة المنحوتة. بنى الدّير رهبان مونوفيزيّين جاؤوا من الحبشة في القرن الثاني عشر بقصد التنسك. الكنيسة كناية عن تجويفٍ طبيعيًّ حُفرت حنيتها على شكل عقدٍ مكسورٍ مُليّسة بالكلس، ومزيّنة برسومٍ جداريّة ذات أشكال هندسيّة تنتمي لفنّ الكنيسة الحبشيّة. في الكنيسة كذلك مذبح مربّع الشكل.

The monastery of St George of the Abyssinians - the valley of Qannoubine

The monastery is a natural cave in a cliff consisting of a church, a necropolis and some cells. It is accessible trough a carved stair. The monastery was built by Jacobite monks from Abyssinia during the XIIth century. The church is a natural cave with a carved apse covered by limestone gypson with a geometrical motif fresco from the Ethiopian art tradition, the church also has a squared altar.

كنيسة مار جرجس - القريّة صيدا

بُنيت الكنيسة الأولى مع قدوم المسيحيّين إلى البلدة في القرن الثامن عشر، وكانت كنيسة صغيرة قليلة الإرتفاع تعرف بالقبو. تعرّضت هذه الكنيسة للتخريب في أحداث سنة ١٨٦٠. سنة ١٩١٤ ومع ازدياد عدد الأهالي، تقرّر بناء كنيسةٍ أكبر في الموضع عينه. فبدأ المشروع في عهد المطران بولس بصبوص والخوري بطرس كسّاب، نفّذه المعمار الياس قسطنطين من عبرا. وهي كنيسة بسوقٍ واحد ينتهي بحنية وسقف قرميد. في ستّينيات القرن العشرين أضيفت إلى قبّتها برج للجرس عند الواجهة الغربيّة. اللوحة التصويريّة من عمل راجي الحاج تعود لسنة ١٩٣٩. تعرّضت الكنيسة للعبث سنة ١٩٨٥ مع تهجير المسيحيّين من شرق صيدا، وأخذَت حلّةً جديدةً بالترميم في أواخر تسعينات القرن العشرين.

The church of St George - Qrayeh Sidon

The first church was built with the settlement of christians in the region in the XVIIIth century. It was known as the Qabou (the cellar) hence it was a small structure. It was sabotaged in the war of 1860. In 1914 with the growth of the congregation, the village needed a new church. The construction began during the pontificate of Bishop Boulos Basbous and Fr. Boutros Kassab, construction was executed by Elias Constantin from Abra. The church is of a single nave ending with an apse, and a brick roof. During the late sixties a bell tower was added to the original old one on the western side. The painting is the work of Raji el Hajj 1939. The church was sabotaged during the civil war in 1985, and restored in the last decade of the XXth century.

كنيسة مار يوسف في محلّة جبل عشقوت، تم تشييدها سنة ١٩٢٦. الكنيسة وقف لآل موسى بنوها لبُعد مساكنهم عن البلدة. الكنيسة صغيرة عبارة عن عقدٍ مصالبٍ، إختبأ فيها الفراريّة خلال الحرب العالميّة الثانية.

The Church of St. Joseph - Ashqout

The Church of St. Joseph is located in the mountains surrounding Ashqout and was built in 1926 as a private chapel for the Moussa family. They built it because their homes were far away from the village center. The church is a small crossed vault and housed fleeing outlaws during World War II.
