كنيسة مار يوحنّا الحبيب - جربتا

سنة ١٨٦٥ شيّد الخوري يوحنّا جرجس بصبوص مدرسةً على اسم مار يوحنّا الحبيب في محلّة الضهر معاد، وجعل لها كنيسةً صغيرةً بعقدٍ مُصالب. أُوقفت المدرسة والكنيسة للرهبانيّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة سنة ١٨٩٥ بُغية تحويلها لدير راهباتٍ مُحصّنات. قبلت الرهبانيّة الوقفيّة سنة ١٨٩٧ وصادق عليها البطريرك يوحنّا الحاج. سنة ١٩٠١ رقد الخوري يوحنّا بالربّ ودُفن في كنيسته. رُمّمت الكنيسة سنة ٢٠٠٣ ونُقل إليها مذبح دير مار يوسف القديم وهو من عمل الأخوين بصبوص من راشانا.

The Church of St. John the Apostle - Jrabta

The church was constructed in 1865 to serve as a chapel for St. John's School, which was established by Father Youhanna Gerges Basbous. The school was handed over to the Lebanese Maronite Order in 1895 and was transformed into a nunnery. The donation was accepted by the order in 1897, and the decision was authorized by Patriarch Youhanna el Hajj. In 1901, Father Basbous passed away and was buried in the chapel. The church underwent restoration in 2003, during which the magnificent marble altar of St. Joseph's Monastery, a masterpiece carved by the Basbous brothers, was installed.

دير سيّدة البزاز - ساحل علما

بنى الدّير الشيخ عاد صخر الخازن سنة ١٧٢٠ وجعله للراهبات العابدات. واتّبعت عابداته قانون الراهبة هنديّة قبل إلغاء رهبانيّتها. بقي الدّير حتّى منتصف القرن العشرين يضمّ بنات وأرامل العائلة الخازنيّة اللواتي خصّصن حياتهنّ للصلاة. واليوم هو وقفٌ خاص للعائلة. كنيسته صغيرة بعقدٍ مصالب، تضمّ لوحة العذراء المُرضعة وهي رومانيّة المصدر.

The monastery of Our Lady of the milk - Sahel Alma

The monastery was built by Sheikh Aad Sakher el Khazen in 1720, who gave it to the cloistered nuns that followed the rules of Mother Hendiyé Ajaimi before her order was dissolved. The monastery housed until the mid XXth century the daughters and the widows of the Khazen family who consecrated their lives to religion. The monastery is now a private possession of the Khazen family. The church is a crossed vault structure holding a roman painting depicting the blessed mother feeding the Lord.

كنيسة مار أنطونيوس الجديدة - ميروبا

بنيت الكنيسة أواسط القرن العشرين، بهندسة حديثة. مدخلها كلاسيكيّ الهندسة. لوحة مار أنطونيوس البادوانيّ غير موقّعة، تتميّز كون القدّيس يتلقى البركة من الطفل يسوع وهو يضمّ يديه بشكل صليب.

The new church of St Anthony of Padua - Mayrouba

The church was built in the middle of the XXth century. The entrance has neoclassical motifs. St Anthony’s painting is not signed and is original, representing the saint getting the blessing from the Child Jesus having his hands crossed.
