كنيسة مار لابا - الميدان جزّينسنة ١٧٤٢ إنتُخب المطران سمعان عوّاد الحصرونيّ بطريركًا وجعل كرسيّه في بلدة الميدان الجزينيّة. حمل أهل حصرون معهم شفاعة مار لابا أو يهوذا الرسول إلى الميدان وبنوا له مقامًا صغيرًا. سنة ١٩٠٣ بعناية الخوري يعقوب عوّاد، بُنيت الكنيسة الحاليّة، وهي كناية عن عقدٍ مصالبٍ ينتهي بحنيةٍ نصف دائريّة. وجلب مغتربو البلدة لوحة مار لابا من المكسيك سنة ١٩٢١ وهي من عمل سارييا زاكاتيكاس. وسّعت الكنيسة ورمّمت عدّة مرّات في النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين.The church of St Laba - Al Midane JezzineIn 1742 bishop Semaan Awad was elected patriarch, and made his patriarchal seat in Al Midane. Since he was originally from Hassroun he built a shrine for St Jude the apostle (Laba or Tedy) in the village. In 1903 the current church was built, with the efforts of Fr. Yaqoub Awad. The structure consists of a crossed vault ending with a semi circular apse. The church was renovated many times during the latter half of the XXth century. The painting of St Leba was donated by the village’s diaspora in Mexico in 1921 it is the work of Saria Zakaticas.

دير سيّدة البشارة الخازن لراهبات الزيارة - زوق مكايل

سنة ١٨٢٥ بعد وفاة الشيخ بشارة جفال الخازن، كرَّس البطريرك يوسف حبيش حارته ديراً على اسم سيّدة البشارة. كان الدير أوّلاً خاصًا ببنات عائلة الخازن، اللواتي نظمن حياتهنّ بحسب قانون مار فرنسيس السالسيّ لراهبات الزيارة. مع مرور الزمن أصبح الدير يستقبل كافة البنات اللواتي يُردن اعتناق الحياة الديريّة التأمليّة المحصنة. وراهبات الزيارة ما زلن يحافظن على نمط حياةٍ تقليديّ بحسب قانونهنّ. كنيسة الدّير مسقوفة، تتميَز بخوروس الراهبات الموجود آخر الكنيسة وهو أعلى من مستواها، خلف مكان جلوس العوام، يعلوه متخّتين للراهبات العجائز.

The monastery of the Annunciation Khazen for the Visitandine nuns - Zouk Mikael

In 1825 after Sheikh Bchara Jaffal el Khazen passed away, Patriarch Youssef Hbeich converted his estate into a nunnery dedicated to our Lady of the Annunciation. The nuns where essentially from the Khazen family and adopted the rule of St Francis of Sales for the visitandine sisters while remaining maronites. With time the monastery began to accept girls from outside of the Khazen family who wanted a strict observance and a contemplative way of life that is still practiced today. The chapel of the monastery is roofed, it is distinguishable by it’s nuns choir at the end of the church, and three mezzanines used by older nuns to participate in the liturgy.

بُنيت هذه الكنيسة على أنقاض كنيسة أقدم تعود للقرن الثامن. بوشر البناء سنة ١٨٧٠ وتمّ سنة ١٩٢١ فكانت أكبر كنيسة في لبنان آنذاك. رُمّمت سنة ١٩٧٩ وأظهر الترميم العقد المصنوع من خشب الأرز. سنة ١٩٩٦ إستُقدمت الساعة من إيطاليا.

The church of Our Lady of Assumption - Tannourin el Fawqa

The church was built over an older church dating back to the VIIIth century. The construction began from 1870 until 1921, becoming the biggest church in Lebanon at that time. The church was restored in 1979 and the cedar wood roof was revealed. A bell tower imported from italy was added to the structure in 1996.

سيدة الدرّ أو الوريسة كان معبدًا فينيقيًّا تحوّل الى كنيسة في القرن الحادي عشر. بحسب الأب بطرس ضو "تحوّل هذا المعبد الى كنيسة، وكان يوجد فيه رسوم جدرانيّة من القرن الثاني عشر وتحتوي على أسماء القدّيسين باليونانيّة، مما يدلّ على أن الموارنة في وادي قاديشا كانوا حتى القرن الثالث عشر على اتصال بالحضارة البيزنطيّة". الكنيسة عبارة عن مغارة محفورة في الصخر ذات خوروسين، لعلّ جداريتها الأجمل هي الظهور الإلهيّ.

The church of Our Lady of the Milk - Bcharre

The church of Our Lady of the Milk or El Waryse is a Phoenician temple converted in the XIth century. According to the historian Fr. Boutros Daw: ”The shrine was converted into a fresco covered church in the XIIth century with the saints name written in greek, indicating that the Maronites in that era kept contact with the Byzantines”. The church consists of a man made cave with a double apse. The best kept fresco is that of the Epiphany over the altar.
