دير مار شليطا - القطّارة ميفوقتَقَرَّر في مجمع الرهبانيَّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة العام المنعقد في ١٦ تشرين الثاني ١٨٤٧، في عهد الأب العام عمَّانوئيل الأشقر، وبرضى البطريرك يوسف راجي الخازن، فَصل بعض أرزاق من دير سيِّدة ميفوق لإنشاء دير في محلَّة القطَّارة شرقيِّ ميفوق، على اسم القدِّيس شلِّيطا. سنة ١٨٥٠، بدء بناء الدّير وكان إتمام بناء الكنيسة سنة ١٨٦١، فَكَرَّسها البطريرك بولس مسعد. عُيِّن هذا الدير، سنة ١٨٧٠، مدرسةّ لتعليم اللغات الأجنبيّة، وكان يضمُّ أيضًا عددًا من المبتدئين. وتجدر الإشارة إلى أنَّ هذا الدير لا يزال حتَّى أيَّامنا يقوم بزراعة أشجار التوت واستخدامها في إنتاج مواسم الحرير. كما يضمّ الدّير محبسة.The Monastery of St Challita - El Qattara Mayfouk.On the 16th of October 1848 the monastic chapter of the Lebanese Maronite Order decided to separate some lands from the monastery of our Lady of Mayfouk to found a monastery dedicated to St Challita, during the mandate of Abbot Emmanuel El Achkar. In 1850, works on the monastery began and were concluded in 1861 when Patriarch Boulos Massad consecrated the church. The monastery was made a school for foreign languages and a novitiate. The monastery still has a great traditional silk production - a rare preservance in Lebanon. The monastery holds also a hermitage.

كنيسة مار جرجس القديمة - صربا

بُنيت أواخر القرن الثامن عشر ، كان بقربها قلّاية، وهي كناية عن بيتٍ صغيرٍ مخصّصٍ لسكن الكاهن، نزل فيه الأمير حيدر أبي اللمع قائمقام النصارى في عهد القائمقاميّتين، وقد وقف الأمير الكثير من أرزاقه لهذه الكنيسة. والبناء كناية عن عقدٍ صغيرٍ مُصالبٍ ينتهي بحنية. تضمّ الكنيسة لوحةً غربيّة لمار جرجس.

The old St George’s church - Sarba

The Church was constructed at the end of the XVIIIth century. A "qelleye" - a small house meant for the priest's residence - was built near it. Prince Haider Abi Al-Lama', who served as the Christian Qaimqam during the Qaimqamiyat era in Mount Lebanon, stayed in the qelleye. He generously donated a significant portion of his livelihood to the church. The church's structure features a small crossed arch vault that culminates in an apse. Inside, there is a western-style painting of St George.

محبسة مار سمعان العاموديّ وادي البواليع - عبيدات المحبسة عبارة عن تَجوِيفٍ مَحفُورٍ فِي الصَّخر، بِدَاخِله صُوَرٌ جُدرَانِيَّةٌ تعود إِلى القَرن الثَّاني عَشَر. مِن بَينِ هِﺬهِ الجُدرَانِيّات رَسمُ الشفاعة، وَكِتَابَةٌ سِرَيَانِيَّةٌ لَم يَبقَ منهَا
وَمِن الرُّسُومِ إلّا القَلِيل بِسَبَب عَوَامِل الطَّبِيعَة وَجَهل الإِنسَان.

يَتمُّ الصُعُودُ إِلَى غُرَفِ الدَّير بِوَاسِطة سَلَالِم خَشَبِيَّةٍ وَأُخرَى حَدِيدِيَّةٍ مُستَحدَثَةٍ.تُجَاوِرُ دَيرَ مَار سِمعَان كَنِيسَة
مَارت مُورَا، وَهِيَ عِبَارَةٌ عَن نَقرٍ في الصَخرِ.بحسب الخبراء جداريّات عبيدات تعودُ لراسم جداريّات كنيسة
مار تادرس بحديدات.

 


The hermitage of St Simeon the stylite in Wadi al-Bouwayli'e - 'Abeydat The monastery is a hollowed-out cavity in the rock, containing frescoes dating back to the XIIth century. Among these wall paintings is the depiction of the deisis, as well as Syriac inscriptions, of which only a few remain due to natural factors and human ignorance. Access to the monastery's chambers is achieved through newly installed wooden and iron ladders. Adjacent to the Mar Simeon monastery is the St Moura's Church, which is a carved cave in the rock. According to experts, the wall paintings in 'Abeydat belong to the same artist who painted the wall paintings in the Mar Tadros Church in Behadidat.


La Ermita de San Simeón el estilita en Wadi al-Bouwayli'e - 'Abeydat El monasterio es una cavidad excavada en la roca, que contiene frescos que datan del siglo XII. Entre estas pinturas murales se encuentra la representación de la deisis, así como inscripciones siríacas, de las cuales, debido a factores naturales y la ignorancia humana, solo quedan unas pocas. Para acceder a las cámaras del monasterio se utilizan las escaleras de hierro y madera recién instaladas. Colindante al monasterio de San Simeon se encuentra la iglesia de San Moura, que es una cueva tallada en la roca. Según los expertos, las pinturas murales de 'Abeydat pertenecen al mismo artista que pintó las pinturas murales de la iglesia de San Tadros en Behadidat

دير سيّدة المرج (دير القلاية) - لحفد

بُني الدّير أوساط القرن الثاني عشر ليسكن فيه أسقف معاون للبطريرك يوحنّا اللحفديّ. أوائل القرن الخامس عشر سكنه المطران يعقوب. خرب هذا الدير ولم يبقَ منه سوى الكنيسة التي تجدّد بناؤها أوساط القرن التاسع عشر. الكنيسة كناية عن عقدٍ مُصالب بحنية مكوّرة. تحوي الكنيسة على العديد من الحجارة المنقوشة والمُشفّرة من بنائها القديم. في هذه الكنيسة تعمّد الأخ اسطفان نعمة اللحفدي.

The Monastery of Our Lady of Marj (Deir al Qalaya) - Lehfed

The monastery was built in the mid XIIth century for an assistant bishop to Patriarch Youhanna al Lehfidi to live in. In the early XVth century, it was inhabited by Bishop Yaacoub. The monastery was abandoned and only the church remained, which was rebuilt in the mid XIXth century. The church's structure consists of a crossed vault with a hemispherical apse. The church contains many carved and encrypted stones from its old construction. Brother Estephan Nehme was baptized in this church.
