كنيسة مار سمعان العاموديّ - عوسطا

هي كنيسة البلدة الرعائيّة. أُتِمّت بسعي رئيس الجمهوريّة آنذاك الشيخ بشارة الخوري في خمسينيّات القرن العشرين. نمط البناء بازيليكيّ بسيط، مع واجهة نيوغوطيّة. تتميّز الكنيسة بمذابحها الثلاث وجرن عمادها من الرخام الأبيض المنحوت، كذلك ثلاث لوحات تعود لمدرسة الأرت ديكو.

The church of St Simon the Stylite - Ghosta

The church is Ghosa’s parish church. It was built with the aid of then president Sheikh Bechara el Khoury in the fifties of the XXth century. Its style is basilical with a neo gothic facade. The church holds three ornate white marble altars and a baptistery, with three art deco paintings.

كنيسة مار لابا - الميدان جزّين

سنة ١٧٤٢ إنتُخب المطران سمعان عوّاد الحصرونيّ بطريركًا وجعل كرسيّه في بلدة الميدان الجزينيّة. حمل أهل حصرون معهم شفاعة مار لابا أو يهوذا الرسول إلى الميدان وبنوا له مقامًا صغيرًا. سنة ١٩٠٣ بعناية الخوري يعقوب عوّاد، بُنيت الكنيسة الحاليّة، وهي كناية عن عقدٍ مصالبٍ ينتهي بحنيةٍ نصف دائريّة. وجلب مغتربو البلدة لوحة مار لابا من المكسيك سنة ١٩٢١ وهي من عمل سارييا زاكاتيكاس. وسّعت الكنيسة ورمّمت عدّة مرّات في النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين.

The church of St Laba - Al Midane Jezzine

In 1742 bishop Semaan Awad was elected patriarch, and made his patriarchal seat in Al Midane. Since he was originally from Hassroun he built a shrine for St Jude the apostle (Laba or Tedy) in the village. In 1903 the current church was built, with the efforts of Fr. Yaqoub Awad. The structure consists of a crossed vault ending with a semi circular apse. The church was renovated many times during the latter half of the XXth century. The painting of St Leba was donated by the village’s diaspora in Mexico in 1921 it is the work of Saria Zakaticas.

كنيسة سيّدة المهاجرين - عبدين

بنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٩٤٩ بسعي حثيث من خادم الرعيّة آنذاك الخوري بولس العلم، الذي ما وفّر جهدًا مع أبناء البلدة المهاجرين لبناء كنيسة كبيرة للبلدة. هي الكنيسة الوحيدة المكرّسة لسيّدة المهاجرين التي يقع عيدها في ١٨ أيلول من كلّ عام، تذكار هجرة المسيح الى مصر. المذبح الكبير مستقدم من دير راهبات الناصرة في بيروت سنة ١٩٦٢، وهو إيطاليّ الصنع. أمّا اللوحات فوق المذابح فهي من عمل يوسف بو هارون من زغرتا، وفي الكنيسة لوحة أخرى للسيّدة من عمل جوزيف فبيان العلم.

The church of Our Lady of Immigrants - Abdin

The church was built in 1949 with the aids of the village’s diaspora and the hard work of Fr Boulos El Alam who raised funds for the project. It is the only church with this dedication. Its feast day is celebrated on the 18th of September every year, the commemoration of the Flight to Egypt. The high altar is Italian and was brought from The Sisters of Nazareth Monastery in Beirut in 1962. The paintings over the altars are the work of Joseph Bou Haroun. The church holds another painting of the Madona done by Joseph Fabien El Alam.
