كنيسة مار الياس - بجرّينهي البناء الوحيد الباقي من قرية بجرّين التي هُجرت على إثر الحرب العالميّة الأولى. تعود للعهد الصليبيّ، وهي محافِظة على طابعها القديم فلا توجد فيها قبّة جرس. بناؤها بسيط، وتظهر على جدرانها بقايا جداريّات مخفيّة تحت طبقة الكلس.The church of St Elias - BjerrinIt is the only standing building in tbe village of Bjerrin that was abandoned after the World War I. The church dates back to the times of the Crusades, and still preserves a modest architecture without a bell tower. On the walls are visible the remains of medieval frescoes under a layer of stuco.
تعودُ هذه الكنيسة إلى القرن السابع بحسب التقليد، خُرّبت الكنيسة الأولى مع حملة المماليك في القرن الثالث عشر. أْعيد البناء سنة ١٦٥٠، وجُدّد سنة ١٧١٢. سنة ١٩١١ ذُهِّب المذبح الرئيسيّ. رُمّمت الكنيسة على عدّة مراحل وحقبات: ١٩٠٧ و ١٩٧٤ و ٢٠٠١. بُنيَ الرواق أمام الكنيسة سنة ١٩١٢. في الكنيسة ثلاث أروقة: السيّدة ولوحتها من عمل القسّ بطرس القبرصيّ الراهب اللبنانيّ، وهو أوّل رسّام في جبل لبنان القديم، مار جرجس، ومار يوحنّا المعمدان. هذه الكنيسة هي الأقدم في بسكنتا، وكانت أروقتها مقسومةً قديمًا بين الموارنة والروم الكاثوليك والروم الأرثوذكس، رعيّة واحدة لكنائس مختلفة!
Our Lady of the Assumption - Baskinta
The first church dates back to the VIIth century, yet it was destroyed with the Mamluk’s invasion in the XIIIth century. The church was rebuilt in 1650, and renewed in 1712. In 1911 the high altar was gilded. The church was renewed several times during its long history: 1907, 1974, and 2001. In 1912 a narthex was added with an Antipendium. The church is in a basilical plan and divided by three naves: Our Lady’s with a Madonna painting drawn by Boutros el Qobrsy the Lebanese Cypriot monk and the first known painter in Mount Lebanon, St John the baptist, and St George. This church is the oldest in Baskinta, in earlier times the naves where divided between the village's Christian communities: the Maronites, the Melkite, and the Greek Orthodox. One parish for three christian communities.
كنيسة تلاميذ مار مارون مطرانيّة جبيل المارونيّة - عمشيت
في ٢٥ حزيران سنة ١٨٩٢ أوقف فارس جبوّر كرم بيته وأرزاقه لنيابة جبيل البطريركيّة، لتكون مركزًا للنائب البطريركيّ. سنة ١٩٠٨ كُرّست الكنيسة في الطابق السفليّ على اسم الشهداء الثلاثمئة والخمسون تلاميذ مار مارون. الكنيسة كناية عن قبوٍ طويل فيه مذبح خشبيّ. رمّم البناء سنة ١٩٩١ وأصبح مقرًّا لأبرشيّة جبيل المارونيّة.
The church of the disciples of St Maroun in Jbeil’s episcopal seat - Aamchit
On the 25th of June 1892, Fares Jabbour Karam donated his estate to the patriarcal vicariats of Jbeil to become a headquarter for the patriarcal vicar. In 1908 a small church dedicated to the 350 martyrs disciples of St Maroun was consecrated in a vault on the groud floor. The church has a wooden altar and tabernacle. The structure was renovated in 1991 and became the seat of the newly created Maronite Bishopric of Jbeil.
بُنيت الكنيسة أوّلاً سنة ١٤٧٠ ورُمِّمَت سنة ١٧٧٦. هي الوحيدة في الشّرق التي تحمل شفاعة هذا القدّيس. الكنيسة ما زالت تُحافظ على الشَعريّة التي تفصل أماكن جلوس الرجال عن النّساء وهي مِن صُنعٍ مِصريّ تعود للقرن الثامن عشر. مذبح الكنيسة إكتُشف إبّان الترميم الأخير مِن سنة فرمِّمَ وأُعيد لبهائه الأصليّ. لوحة مار أوْتِل تعود لسنة ١٩٠٣. مار أوْتِل هو شفيع كفرصغاب إذ حماها من داء الطاعون، لذلك تُقيم البلدة تذكارًا رسميًّا لهُ في ٣ حزيران وتذكار هذه المعجزة في ٢٧ آب. كذلك مار أوْتِل هو شفيع المسافرين وإليه ينسب حماية بعض أبناء كفرصغاب من الغرق في سفينة التيتانيك سنة ١٩١٢.
The church was first built in 1470 and restored in 1776. It is the only church in the east consecrated to St Awtel. The church still conserves the traditional wooden separator between men’s and women’s sitting place, made in Egypt in the XVIIIth century. The painting of St Awtel dates back to year 1903. The old altar was discovered a year ago during restoration. Kfarsghab celebrates two feasts of the saint on the 3rd of june and the 27th of august when the saint miraculously protected the village from the plague. St Awtel is also the patron of the travelers since he miraculously protected the Kfarsghaby passengers of the Titanic in 1912.
