دير مار يعقوب المقطّع - إهدن بُني الدّير أواخر القرن الثالث عشر بعد حملة المماليك. سنة ١٤٧٠ قطنه القس يعقوب ورفاقه الوافدين من الحبشة فدُعي بدير الأحباش نسبةً إليهم. سنة ١٤٨٨، طرد الإهدنيّون الأحباش واليعاقبة بعد معركة بقوفا، فأصبح الدّير مقرًّا لأساقفة إهدن. سنة ١٦٣٢، سكنه الفرنسيسكان. جعله البطريرك إسطفانوس الدويهيّ مدرسةً لتعليم الأحداث عندما كان كاهنًا. سنة ١٩٧٦ إنهارت الكنيسة إثر عاصفة ثلجيّة. أعيد ترميمها وتكريسها صيف ٢٠٠٤ على يد المطران سمير مظلوم. Saint Jacob the Persian Monastery - Ehden Saint Jacob's Monastery was built at the end of the XIIIth century, after the Mamluks' invasion. In 1470, it was inhabited by Abyssinian monks. However, in 1488, the Ehdenites expelled the monks from the monastery after the Battle of Bqoufa. Later on, the monastery became the seat of Ehden's bishops. Then, in 1641, it was inhabited by Franciscan monks. In 1657, Fr. Estfen al Doueihy (later patriarch) turned it into a school for Ehden's youth. During the 18th century, the convent was completely abandoned. In the winter of 1976, a blizzard destroyed the church. Finally, it was restored in 2004 and reconsecrated by Bishop Samir Mazloum.

كنيسة سيّدة الغسّالة - القبيات
بُنيت الكنيسة الأولى بالقرب من قناة جرًّ للمياه، كانت نساء القرية يغسلن ثيابهنّ بقربها أيّام السبوت، لذلك سمّي الموضع الغسّالة وحملت الكنيسة إسم سيّدة الغسّالة. بُنيت الكنيسة الحاليّة سنة ١٩٢٧ بمسعى من أبناء البلدة المغتربين. تتميّز الكنيسة أنّها مكسوّة الداخل بالكامل بالنقوش، تحوي عدّة جداريّات فريدة كجداريّة الذبيحة الإلهيّة حيث يظهر الكأس يعلوه النجم، وجداريّة الصدقة.

The first church was built on a site near an aqueduct where the village’s ladies used to wash their laundry hence the name in Arabic Ghessele invoking laundry washing. The first church held the name of the site. In 1927 the new church was built with donations made by Kobayaty expats. The church is covered on the inside with painted stucco. The church holds distinctive unique frescoes such as the fresco of the Holy Sacrifice with the distinctive oriental liturgical altar paraments, and the fresco of the alm.

كنيسة سيّدة الشير - إهمج

كنيسة سيدة الشير الرعائيّة العجائبيّة، دُعيت بهذا الإسم نسبةً إلى المكان الذي أقيمت عليه وهو شير صخريّ يبلغ ارتفاعه حوالي خمسين مترًا. تعود الكنيسة الأولى إلى العصور الوسطى، وخُرّبت وأعيد بناؤها سنة ١٦٧٦، بعد عودة الأهالي إلى القرية. بدأ العمل في بناء الكنيسة بشكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٩٠٠ وتمّ إنجازها في العام ١٩٢٠. وهي تشتهر بعجائبها الكثيرة.

The church of Our Lady of the cliff - Ehmej

The parish church of our Lady was named after a 50 meter limestone cliff above which it stands. The first medieval church was sabotaged and rebuilt in 1676 after the Maronites' return to the village. In 1900 the church took its current form and was completed in 1920. The church is a pilgrimage site famous for the miracles that happened there.

كنيسة السيّدة - مراح الزيّات

الكنيسة قديمة العهد وتاريخ بنائها مجهول. في الكنيسة العديد من الحجار المقصوبة المأخوذة من قلعة سمار جبيل القريبة. البناء كناية عن عقد سريريّ ينتهي بحنية نصف دائريّة. تضمّ الكنيسة لوحتين من القرن التاسع عشر: الأولى للعذراء من عمل كنعان ديب والثانية لمار جرجس من عمل المستشرق البولونيّ بول شلافاك.

The church of Our Lady - Mrah El Zayat

The church is an old structure with an unknown history. The structure is a crib vault ending with a semi circular apse, with many spolias from the nearby Smar Jbeil castle. The church holds two XIXth century paintings: the Madonna by Kanaan Dib and St George by the polish orientalist Paul Shlavat.
