البطريركيّة القديمة مار يوحنّا مارون - الديمان بداية القرن التاسع عشر، قرّر البطاركة الانتقال من وادي قنوبين إلى قرية الديمان. وفي العام ١٨١٩، بنى البطريرك يوحنا الحلو منزلاً ليكون مقرّ إقامته. سنة ١٨٣٣، بدأ البطريرك يوسف حبيش بناء الدير والكنيسة، وتمّ في هذا الدير البطريركيّ انتخاب البطريرك يوسف راجي الخازن عام ١٨٤٥، ورفع البطريرك بولس مسعد الخوري يوحنا الحاج إلى الرتبة الأسقفية في ١٥ آب ١٨٦١، ليخلفه كبطريرك سنة ١٨٩٠. نهاية القرن التاسع عشر انتهت أعمال بناء الدير البطريركيّ الكبير في الديمان، وأصبح هذا البناء كنيسةً رعائيّة. ومن أبرز الكنوز الموجودة في الكنيسة كأس القدّاس الذي أهداه البابا لاون الثاني عشر إلى البطريرك حبيش، ومكتبة المخطوطات، وبعض الأيقونات المحليّة. The Old Patriarchate of Saint John Maron - Dimane At the start of the XIXth century, the patriarchs decided to relocate from Wadi Qannoubin to the village of Diman. In 1819, Patriarch John Al Helou constructed a residence for himself, and in 1833, Patriarch Youssef Hobeish began building a monastery and church. It was at this patriarchal monastery that Patriarch Youssef Raji Al Khazen was elected in 1845. Later on, on August 15, 1861, Patriarch Boulos Massad ordained Fr. Youhanna Al Hajj to the episcopal rank, and he succeeded him as patriarch in 1890. At the end of the XIXth century, the construction of the great patriarchal monastery in Diman was finished, and the building became a parish church. One of the most notable treasures of the church is a chalice gifted to Patriarch Hobeish by Pope Leo XII, as well as the manuscript library and local icons.

دير مار يوسف - بان

سنة ١٨٠٩ في عهد الأب العام سمعان الخازن، أوقف أهالي بلدَتي بان وكفرصعاب عقارات للرهبانيّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة بغية إنشاء مدرسة لتعليم أبناء البلدة. تحوّلت في ستينيّات القرن العشرين الى ديرِ قانونيّ. تحوي الكنيسة بيت قربان خشبيّ مذهّب ومذخّرين رومانيّين، ثلاث لوحات غربيّة الصنع، ولوحتين مشرقيّتين للعائلة المقدّسة ومار أفرام من القرن التاسع عشر.

The monastery of St Joseph - Ban

In 1809 during the mandate of Abbot Simon el Khazen, the villagers of Ban and Kfarsghab donated land to the Lebanese Maronite Order to build a school. During the sixties the school was converted into a canonical monastery. The church holds a gilded wooden tabernacle with two reliquaries, three western paintings, and two local XIXth century ones of The holy family and St Ephrem.

كنيسة سيّدة الغابة - بيت شباب

بنُيت الكنيسة الأولى في القرن السابع عشر، واعتنى بإعادة بنائها آل الحايك مرّتين سنة ١٧٧٢ و١٧٧٣. خُرّبت أثناء حملة إبراهيم باشا فأعاد ترميمها الأمير حيدر أبي اللمع سنة ١٨٤٠. أخذت شكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٩٠٠ ورُمّمت سنة ١٩٩٠. في الكنيسة عدّة لوحات أهمّها اللوحة القديمة التي تعود للقرن السادس عشر، كان قد رسم فوقها كنعان ديب لوحة أخرى لم تعد موجودة سنة ١٨٣٩ وقد جرّحها فارسٌ درزيّ في أحداث ١٨٦٠، وقد نُقلت عنها لوحة لحبيب سرور تعود لسنة ١٩١٩.
The church of Our Lady of the Forest - Beit Chabeb

The church was first built in the XVIIth century, then rebuilt by the Hayek family in 1726 and 1773. It was damaged during the campaign of Mehmet Ali Pasha and restored by Prince Haidar Abi Ll Lamah in 1840. It took its final shape in year 1900, and then restored 90 years later. The church holds many paintings the most important ones being the old XVIth century icon of the Madona, that was covered by another painting by Kanaan Dib drawn in year 1839 that is no longer present. This painting was attacked by a Druze knight in the war of 1860. Habib Srour drew a copy of it in 1919.

كنيسة سيّدة الإنتقال القديمة - بقاع كفرا

الكنيسة القديمة يعود تأسيسها إلى نحو سبعمئة عام، تتميّز بالصليب المثلث الأطراف الموجود على عتبة بابها الرئيسيّ، وأيقونة السيّدة التي تعود للقرن السادس عشر، وجرن العماد القديم حيث قبل مار شربل سرّه الأوّل. لم يتوقف اهل هذه البلدة يومًا عن صلاة الفرض الإلهيّ حتى خلال فصل الشتاء القارس، اذ بنوا دهليزًا تحت الارض يصل البيوت بالكنيسة، ولكنّ معظمه قد سقط.
سنة ١٩٢٥ دُعِّم العقد القديم ليتحمّل الكنيسة الجديدة فوقه.

The old church of Our Lady of Assumption - Bekaa Kafra

The old church was built in the XIVth century, it holds a medieval three branched cross on her tympanum. The church also holds the baptismal font of St Charbel, a XVIth century icon of the Madona and ruined catacombs that the local used to get to church during harsh winters to pray the office.
In 1925 the new church was built on top of the old one. To accommodate this renewal the old vault was reinforced changing the medieval allure of the old church.
