دير مار عبدا - دير القمر سنة ١٨٤٩، تأسّس الدير على يد الأب نعمة الله البكفاوي والأب بطرس الغزيريّ، بهدف خدمة النفوس في منطقة دير القمر. سنة ١٨٩٥، على عهد الأب العام سابا دريان، اتمّ الاب المدبّر افرام حنين الديراني بناء الدير، وأنشأ مدرسة لأبناء الرهبانية. سنة ١٩٦٣، تمّ بناء مدرسة مار عبدا. سنة ٢٠٠١، تمّ إفتتاح فرع لجامعة سيّدة اللويزة في الدير مكان الثانويّة الرسميّة وفرع للجامعة اللبنانية. سنة ٢٠٠٥، تم ترميم الدير وإصلاح غرفه والصالون والاقبية ليستقبل الرهبان والحركات الرسولية. يتميّز الدير بهندسته الفريدة وهي مزيج من فنّ العمارة اللبنانيّة والحلبيّة. The monastery of St. Abda - Deir el Qamar The monastery was built in 1849, to provide pastoral and spiritual assistance in Deir el Qamar. In 1895 during the mandate of Abbot Saba Derian the monastery was completed and a monastic school was erected. In 1963 the school was renewed and opened to the public. In 2001 a branch of NDU and of the Lebanese University were opened next to the monastery. In 2005 the monastery was renewed. The building is a great late 19th century witness to Lebanese architecture with elements of Aleppo’s art and arabesque.

كنيسة مار لابا - الميدان جزّين

سنة ١٧٤٢ إنتُخب المطران سمعان عوّاد الحصرونيّ بطريركًا وجعل كرسيّه في بلدة الميدان الجزينيّة. حمل أهل حصرون معهم شفاعة مار لابا أو يهوذا الرسول إلى الميدان وبنوا له مقامًا صغيرًا. سنة ١٩٠٣ بعناية الخوري يعقوب عوّاد، بُنيت الكنيسة الحاليّة، وهي كناية عن عقدٍ مصالبٍ ينتهي بحنيةٍ نصف دائريّة. وجلب مغتربو البلدة لوحة مار لابا من المكسيك سنة ١٩٢١ وهي من عمل سارييا زاكاتيكاس. وسّعت الكنيسة ورمّمت عدّة مرّات في النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين.

The church of St Laba - Al Midane Jezzine

In 1742 bishop Semaan Awad was elected patriarch, and made his patriarchal seat in Al Midane. Since he was originally from Hassroun he built a shrine for St Jude the apostle (Laba or Tedy) in the village. In 1903 the current church was built, with the efforts of Fr. Yaqoub Awad. The structure consists of a crossed vault ending with a semi circular apse. The church was renovated many times during the latter half of the XXth century. The painting of St Leba was donated by the village’s diaspora in Mexico in 1921 it is the work of Saria Zakaticas.

أنطش مار يوسف - بسكنتا

سنة ١٧٧٠ بدأ أهالي بسكنتا ببناء كنيسة على إسم القدِّيس يوسف، لكنّ البناء تعثّر. فكان ذلك سببًا لدعوة الرهبانيَّة اللبنانيَّة إلى تسلُّمها، سنة ١٧٧١، بناءً على طلب الأهالي. مقابل ذلك، كان على الرهبانيَّة أن تنشئ مدرسةً لتعليم الأحداث وإرشاد القريب في الأمور الروحيَّة. أتمَّت الرهبانيَّة، سنة ١٧٧٦، تشييد الكنيسة، وأنشأت مدرسةً على اسم القدِّيس يوسف، فكانت أقدم مدرسةٍ في بسكنتا، تهتمُّ بتعليم الأولاد مبادئ الدين والأخلاق، واللغتَين السريانيَّة والعربيَّة.

The presbytery of St Joseph - Baskinta

In 1770 the locals of Baskinta began building a church dedicated to St Joseph, yet due to the lack of funds, they decided to hand the church to the Lebanese Maronite Order. The agreement was settled in 1771 and a school to teach the children and provide spiritual guidance was erected by the order. In 1776 the church was dedicated and the first Baskintan school opened providing a program that teaches Syriac, Arabic, Morals, and Catechism.

كنيسة سيّدة الدرّ - بشرّي
سيدة الدرّ أو الوريسة كان معبدًا فينيقيًّا تحوّل الى كنيسة في القرن الحادي عشر. بحسب الأب بطرس ضو "تحوّل هذا المعبد الى كنيسة، وكان يوجد فيه رسوم جدرانيّة من القرن الثاني عشر وتحتوي على أسماء القدّيسين باليونانيّة، مما يدلّ على أن الموارنة في وادي قاديشا كانوا حتى القرن الثالث عشر على اتصال بالحضارة البيزنطيّة". الكنيسة عبارة عن مغارة محفورة في الصخر ذات خوروسين، لعلّ جداريتها الأجمل هي الظهور الإلهيّ.

The church of Our Lady of the Milk - Bcharre

The church of Our Lady of the Milk or El Waryse is a Phoenician temple converted in the XIth century. According to the historian Fr. Boutros Daw: ”The shrine was converted into a fresco covered church in the XIIth century with the saints name written in greek, indicating that the Maronites in that era kept contact with the Byzantines”. The church consists of a man made cave with a double apse. The best kept fresco is that of the Epiphany over the altar.
