كنيسة السيّدة الكبرى - بيت شبابالكنيسة الحاليّة مبنيّة على أنقاض كنيستين: الأولى مجهولة تاريخ البناء وكانت صغيرة واطئة بنيت قرب مصب الينبوع وكانت قائمة في القرن السادس عشر، الثانية وكانت تُعرف بسيّدة الجوزة، بدأ بناؤها سنة ١٧٠٣ في مكانها الحاليّ. كرّسها في ١٠ أيّار سنة ١٧١٦ البطريرك يعقوب عوّاد، جلب لوحاتها من روما الخورأسقف يوسف السمعاني. سنة ١٩٠٣ بوشر بناء الكنيسة الحاليّة، وهي بازيليكيّة الطراز بثلاث أسواق وعقدٍ بغداديّ، تحوي خمس مذابح رخاميّة. كرّسها سنة ١٩٤٠ الخورأسقف يوسف الحايك. رمّمت الكنيسة عدّة مرّات. وهي أكبر كنيسة في بيت شباب تشتهر بأبراج أجراسها.The church of our Lady the Major - Beit ShababThe current church was built over two older churches. The first one was built near the village’s water fountain, its history is unknown, yet it was in use during the XVIth century. The second one was in the current place, it was known as our Lady of the Walnut tree. Construction began in 1703 and it was consecrated by Patriarch Yaaqoub Awad on the 10th of May 1716. The paintings of the church were brought from Rome by Mgr Youssef el Semaani. The current church was built in 1903, it is a basilical structure with three naves and five marble altars. It was consecrated in 1940 by Mgr Youssef el Hayek. The church underwent many restorations, it is famous for the three bell towers on its facade

هي كنيسة الموقع الأوّل لدير بكركي قبل بناء الصرح الحاليّ. بناها الشيخ خطّار الخازن سنة ١٧٠٣ مع الدّير، وسكنه الرّهبان الأنطونيّون سنة ١٧٣٠. سلّم البطريرك يعقوب عوّاد الكنيسة والدّير والأملاك الى رهبان مار اشعيا برضى المشايخ الخوازنة ولا سيَّما الشيخ خطار، لكن بعد وفاة الشيخ خطّار، وقع الخلاف بين ولَدَيه، وبين الأنطونيَّين، فطردوا منه، وباعوا الدّير الى المطران جرمانوس صقر لقاء ٣٥٠٠ غرش، وذلك سنة ١٧٥٠، وأكملوا بهذا المبلغ دير مار يوحنا المعمدان - عجلتون. أمّا المطران صقر فجعل الدّير مقرًّا لأخويّة قلب يسوع التي أسّستها الراهبة هنديّة عجيمي، التي بدورها نقلت الدّير الى موقعه الحاليّ. ولم يبقَ من الدّير القديم سوى كنيسة سيّدة البشوشة، نسبةً الى ايقونة العذراء المتبسمة.

The chapel of Our Lady of Bchouche - Bkerke

The chapel was the church of the first monastery of Bkerke. It was built by Cheikh Khattar el Khazen in 1703, and the Antonine Maronite Order took the monastery as a residence in 1730. The monastery was eventually given to the order with a decree made by Patriarch Jacob Awad and the Sheikhs of the Khazen family. Nevertheless after the death of Sheikh Khattar there was a dispute between his sons and the Antonines, and the laters were forced to leave and sell the monastery to Bishop Germanos Saker in 1750 for 3500 Ottoman piasters, money that they used to accomplish St John’s monastery in Ajaltoun. Bishop Saker made Bkerke’s monastery a motherhouse for the new congregation of The Sacred Heard founded by Hindyeh Ojeimy. The congregation left the old monastery and built the current one nearby. Of the old monastery only the church persists. It is named Bshoushe meaning the Smiling Virgin.

بنتها عائلة غبريل سنة ١٨٣٥ في حيّ بيت الزعرور. تجدّدت سنة ١٨٧٥ وأعيد تكريسها على يد المطران نعمة الله سلوان سنة ١٩٠٦. في الكنيسة لوحتين مريميّتين الأولى هي العذراء المرضعة لداوود القرم تعود لسنة ١٨٨٢، والثانية أقدم عهدًا غير موقعة. ولوحة لمار الياس عمل حبيب سرور سنة ١٨٨٨، وأخرى لمار يوسف بلا توقيع.

The church of our Lady of the Milk - Beit Chabab

The church was built by the Ghobril family in 1835 in the area known as Beit el Zaarour. In 1875 it was renewed and reconsecrated by Bishop Nematullah Selwan in 1906. The church holds two marian paintings: the first by Dawoud El Qorm from 1882 representing the breastfeeding mother, the second one is older and not signed. It also contains a painting of St Joseph not signed, with another of St Elias by Habib Srour from 1888.

كنيسة مار يوسف - بتدين اللقش

بنيت الكنيسة الأولى أوائل القرن التاسع عشر وكانت صغيرةً تعرضت للتخريب بعد حوادث سنة ١٨٦٠. سنة ١٨٧٠ بُنيت الكنيسة الحاليّة بشكل عقدٍ مُصالبٍ. تضمّ الكنيسة لوحتين الأولى للعائلة المقدّسة وهي أيقونة من المدرسة الأورشليميّة تعود لأواسط القرن التاسع عشر أمّا الثانية فهي لوحة غربيّة من أوائل القرن العشرين.

The Church of St. Joseph- Bteden Al-Laqsh

The Church of St. Joseph in Bteden Al-Laqsh has a rich history dating back to the early XIXth century. The original church was constructed in the first half of the 1800s but was unfortunately vandalized during the events of 1860. In response, a new church was constructed in 1870 with a cross-vaulted architectural style. Today, the church is known for its stunning interior, which contains two significant paintings. The first is an icon of the Holy Family from the Jerusalemite school, dating back to the mid-XIXth century. The second is a classical painting from the early XXth century.
