يعود بناء الكنيسة للقرن العاشر، تحتوي على مجموعة جدرانيّات تعود إلى القرون الوسطى. هي من أكثر الكنائس المحافظة على طابعها الأول هندسةً، وتُجسّد الجدرانيّات التي زيَّنتها منذ القرن الثالث عشر، موضوعاتٍ من العهدين القديم والجديد.تُجسّد الجدرانية قصَّة الخلاص المقسومة الى جزءين: الأوّل إلى الناحية اليمنى يُمثّل يدَي الربّ وموسى يتلقّى منهما الوصايا العشر، والى الناحية اليسرى ذبيحة النبي إبراهيم، وما بين الإثنين رسمٌ لعمانوئيل وسط القمر والشمس. والثاني الى اليمين يمثّل بِشارة العذراء، يليه رسم للنبي دانيال، ومار إسطفان. على الحائط الشماليّ صورة مار تاودروس، وعلى الحائط الجنوبيّ صورة القديس جاورجيوس. في الوسط ايقونة الشفاعة مع الملائكة وعلى مستوى المذبح صف الرسل الإثنا عشر.The church was built during the tenth century, and contains a collection of medieval Syriac frescoes. It is one of the most preserved churches architecturally. The church was covered with frescos dating back to the 13th century and depicting themes from the Old and the New Testament. The main fresco represents on the right side the hand of God giving Moses the ten commandments, on the left the sacrifice of Abraham. In the middle is Emmanuel between the sun and the moon. The second part depicts the Annunciation, prophet Daniel, and Stephen the Protomartyr. On the northern wall one can find St Theodorus, and St George on the southern. In the main apse is the Deisis with angels, below it the row of the twelve apostles

كنيسة سيّدة الورديّة الدلغانة - دير القمر

بنيت في ثلاثينيّات القرن الثامن عشر، وأتمّ البناء سنة ١٧٦٠ على يد الأب متّى الحكيم الحلبيّ طبيب أمراء دير القمر. تُلاصق الكنيسة كابيلا سيّدة الرحمة وهي تعود للنصف الثاني من القرن التاسع عشر. تحوي الكنيسة على العديد من اللوحات التصويريّة أهمّها لوحة سيّدة الورديّة وهي من عمل كنعان ديب الدلبتاوي سنة ١٨٦٤، ومار يوسف لنجيب شكري تعود لسنة ١٩١٠.

The church of Our Lady of the Rosary El Delghane - Deir el Qamar

The church was built in the third decade of the the XVIIIth century. The construction was concluded in 1760 under the supervision of Fr Matta el Hakim from Aleppo who was the personal doctor of Deir el Qamar’s princes. Adjacent to the church stands a small chapel dedicated to our Lady of Mercy dating back to the second half of the XIXth century. The church holds many paintings inculding Our Lady of the Rosary by Kanaan Dib dating back to 1864 and St Joseph by Najib Chukry dating back to 1910.

كنيسة مار لابي الرسول - حصرون

بحسب أحد التقاليد بنى الملك حصرائيم (الذي منه اسم بلدة حصرون) قصرًا وهيكلًا في هذا الموضع تحوّل في الجيل الرابع إلى كنيسةٍ على اسم مار لابي وهو اللقب السريانيّ ليهوذا الرسول. بني القسم الشرقيّ من الكنيسة في القرن الثالث عشر، وأضيف سنة ١٧٧٠ القسم الغربيّ. أخذت الكنيسة شكلها مع الصليبيّين، وهي عقد سريريّ منخفض بحنية واحدة. تضمّ الكنيسة مجموعةً من اللوحات التي تعود للقرن الثامن عشر وهي مزيج بين الأيقونة المشرقيّة وفنّ عصر النهضة.

The church of St Laby the Apostle - Hassroun

According to a folk tale, king Hassraym (from whom derived the name Hassroun) built a palace and a temple that was converted in the IVth century into a church dedicated to the apostle Laby (the syriac title given to Thaddeus or Jude). The eastern aisle was built in the XIIIth century. In 1770 the western aisle was built. During the crusaders era the church took its form, a single nave crib vaulted structure beneath the road. The church holds many XVIIth century paintings that are a representation of the local iconography being influenced by the art of the renaissance.

محبسة مار سمعان العاموديّ - بقرقاشا

هذه المحبسة المبنيّة في حرف شيرٍ صخريّ، تعود للقرون الوسطى. بحسب البطريرك الدويهيّ بنتها سنة ١١١٢ تقلا إبنة الخوري باسيل البشرّاني على إسم مار جرجس ومار ضوميط، وما برحت وتحوّلت على اسم مار سمعان العاموديّ. يشهد على ذلك كتاب الريش قُريان السريانيّ الخاص بالمحبسة، الذي يعود لسنة ١٢٤٢، وهو محفوظ في جامعة السلامانكا.

St Simon the stylite hermitage - Bqorqasha

The hermitage is built on the slope of a rocky cliff in the holy valley of Qannoubin. It dates back according to patriarch Stephen Al Douwaihy to year 1112 when Thekle the daughter of a priest named Basil of Bsharre built a hermitage dedicated to Sts George and Doumith, that was rededicated to St Simon the stylite. A Syriac lectionary proper to the hermitage, the Rish Qoryan, dating back to 1242, that was discovered and conserved in Salamanca’s university, attests this story.
