يعود بناء الكنيسة للقرن العاشر، تحتوي على مجموعة جدرانيّات تعود إلى القرون الوسطى. هي من أكثر الكنائس المحافظة على طابعها الأول هندسةً، وتُجسّد الجدرانيّات التي زيَّنتها منذ القرن الثالث عشر، موضوعاتٍ من العهدين القديم والجديد.تُجسّد الجدرانية قصَّة الخلاص المقسومة الى جزءين: الأوّل إلى الناحية اليمنى يُمثّل يدَي الربّ وموسى يتلقّى منهما الوصايا العشر، والى الناحية اليسرى ذبيحة النبي إبراهيم، وما بين الإثنين رسمٌ لعمانوئيل وسط القمر والشمس. والثاني الى اليمين يمثّل بِشارة العذراء، يليه رسم للنبي دانيال، ومار إسطفان. على الحائط الشماليّ صورة مار تاودروس، وعلى الحائط الجنوبيّ صورة القديس جاورجيوس. في الوسط ايقونة الشفاعة مع الملائكة وعلى مستوى المذبح صف الرسل الإثنا عشر.The church was built during the tenth century, and contains a collection of medieval Syriac frescoes. It is one of the most preserved churches architecturally. The church was covered with frescos dating back to the 13th century and depicting themes from the Old and the New Testament. The main fresco represents on the right side the hand of God giving Moses the ten commandments, on the left the sacrifice of Abraham. In the middle is Emmanuel between the sun and the moon. The second part depicts the Annunciation, prophet Daniel, and Stephen the Protomartyr. On the northern wall one can find St Theodorus, and St George on the southern. In the main apse is the Deisis with angels, below it the row of the twelve apostles

دير مار فوقا في أعالي بلدة غلبون يعود بناؤه إلى الحقبة البيزنطيّة في القرن السادس. مع مرور الزمن، أصبح الدير أطلالًا وعبثت فيه عوامل الطبيعة. بقي من البناء بقايا الكنيسة التي أخذت شكلها الحاليّ في القرون الوسطى. الكنيسة بسوقٍ واحد بدون سقف وبحنية دائريّة.
The monastery of St Focas - Ghalboun
The monastery of St Focas was built in the VIth century during the Byzantine era. With time the monastery became abandoned, the only remains were those of the church that took its shape in the middle ages. The church is a single nave structure with no roof and a semi circular apse.

كنيسة السيّدة الجديدة - صربا الجنوب

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٩٤٦ وكرّسها المطران أغوسطينوس البستاني. بناؤها بازيليكيّ الطراز بثلاث أسواقٍ وحنية نصف دائريّة. رُمّمت الكنيسة بعد زلزال سنة ١٩٥٦، وأُضيفت إليها قبّة الجرس. تضمّ الكنيسة أيقونةً أورشليميّة عجائبيّة للسيّدة العذراء وهي التي حمت الأهالي خلال الحرب العالميّة الأولى.

The new Church of Our Lady - Sarba, South Lebanon.

The church was constructed in 1946 and consecrated by Archbishop Augustine el-Boustany. This basilical church features three naves and a semi-circular apse. Following the earthquake of 1956, the structure underwent restoration, and a bell tower was subsequently added to the church. Notably, the church houses an icon of the Theotokos from the school of Jerusalem, which is believed to possess miraculous properties. According to the local community, this icon protected the village during World War I, serving as a source of divine intervention and safeguarding.

في القرن الثامن عشر بنيت الكنيسة المارونيّة الأولى في مدينة صور. سنة ١٧٨٢ أذن النائب البطريركيّ ميخائيل الخازن بإنشاء أنطوش للرهبانيّة البلديّة. سنة ١٨١٠ جدّد المطران يوحنّا الحلو (البطريرك لاحقًا) تكريس الأنطوش وأسّس رعيّة مارونيّة في المدينة. سنة ١٨١٥ نزح قسم من موارنة عيتا الشعب إلى صور حاملين معهم صورة العذراء العجائبيّة. سنة ١٨٧٠ وُسّعت الكنيسة وأخذت شكلها الحاليّ. سنة ١٩٠٦ أقام قداسة البابا بيوس العاشر أبرشيّة صور وجُعلت كنيسة سيّدة البحار كاتدرائيّةً للأبرشيّة. رمّمت الكاتدرائيّة أواخر القرن العشرين. تضمّ الكاتدرائيّة مجموعةً من الأيقونات التي تمثل الأحداث الكتابيّة في مدينة صور، أمّا الكابيلا السفليّة فتضمّ أيقونات وذخائر شهداء المدينة القدّيسين.

Our Lady of the seas cathedral - Tyre
During the XVIth century the first Maronite church was built in Tyr. In 1782 Mgr Michael El Khazen commissioned the construction of a presbytery for the Lebanese Maronite order. In 1810 Mgr Youhanna el Helou (later Patriarch) canonically established a maronite parish. In 1815 many maronites moved from Aita El Shaab to the city bringing with them the miraculous icon of the Madonna. In 1906 the archbishopric of Tyr was established by Pope Pius X making this church the cathedral. The cathedral was restored in the later half of the XXth century. The church holds many icons depicting the biblical episodes that happened in the city. The crypt under the church holds the icons and the relics of the city’s martyrs.
