دير سيّدة ميفوق - ميفوق

هو من الأديار القديمة في الكنيسة المارونيَّة،
بناه المرَدَةَ سنة ٨٥٠. إستولى عليه الحماديُّون حوالي سنة ١١٢١، مدَّةً من الزمن، فانتقل رهبانُه في أثنائها إلى دير سيِّدة إيليج. تَسَلَّمت الرهبانيَّةُ اللبنانيّة المارونيّة ديرَ ميفوق سنة ١٧٦٦، من الأمير يوسف الشهابيّ. انعقد في هذا الدير، مجمعًا إقليميًّا للكنيسة المارونيَّة، برئاسة القاصد الرسولي الأب بطرس دي مورينا و المطران ميخائيل الخازن سنة ١٧٨٠. سنة ١٨٥٠، أمضى فيه مار شربل سنة ابتداءٍ واحدة. أنشأت الرهبانيَّة معهدًا في الدير، سنة ١٩٢٢. وَمِن محفوظات دير سيِّدة – ميفوق، صورة سيِّدة إيليج الأثريَّة التي أُعيد ترميمُها بين سنتَي ١٩٨٢ ١٩٨٧. لعب الدّير دورًا على صُعُد التنشئة الرهبانيّة والوطنيّة دورًا بارزًا.

The monastery of Our Lady of Mayfouq - Mayfouq

One of the oldest Maronite monasteries built arround 850 by the Maradites. It was taken over by the Hamadi’s in 1121, and back then the monks moved to Ilige. The monastery was given to the Lebanese Maronite Order in 1766 by Prince Youssef Shehab. In 1780 a local Maronite council was held in the monastery presided by the papal delegate Fr Peter di Morina and bishop Mikael el Khazen. In 1850 St Charbel spent a year of his novitiate there. A school was founded by the order in 1922. The monastery holds the famous icon of our Lady of Ilige restored between 1982 and 1987. The monastery played a great national role and it was a major school of formation for the monks.

بُني الدير سنة 1700، آن عَرض الشيخ سليمان الهاشم العاقوريّ على الرهبانيَّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة أن يسلِّمها مزرعة حوب لتنشئ فيها ديرًا. حوالي سنة 1714، عرض أهالي تنُّورين على المؤسِّس المطران عبدالله قراعلي، أن يسلِّموه وقف مار ضومط، لتقوم الرهبانيَّة بتعليم الأحداث. أنشأت الرهبانيَّة، سنة 1749، ديرًا على اسم العذراء مريم، على أنقاض كنيسةٍ قديمة. ومن ثمَّ عملت الرهبانيَّة على توسيع أملاكها في المحلَّة. سنة 1766، أوقف الأمير يوسف شهاب خرائب مار يعقوب الوادي ومار أنطونيوس. وسنة 1790، جعلت الرهبانيَّة دير السيِّدة ودير مار أنطونيوس ديرًا واحدًا، حيث هو اليوم، على اسم القدِّيس أنطونيوس الكبير. قرب الدير أُنشئت محبسة على اسم مار جرجس خرّجت كوكبة من الحبساء القدّيسين. كنيسته تحوي مذابح رخاميّة ومجموعة زيتيّات أهمها لوحة مار انطونيوس الكبير لداود القرم.

The mission of the Lebanese Maronite order started in Tannourin during the year 1700 when a local feudal lord Sleiman Hashem el Akoury gave the order a farm in Houb to build a monastery. In 1714 Bishop Abdalla Qaraaly was given custody over the church of St Doumit in order to start a monastic school. In 1790 the monks joined the two monasteries of the Madonna and St Anthony into the one that stands today. Near the monastery St George’s hermitage was erected. The monastic church holds beautiful marble altars and many oil paintings. The most important painting is the one depicting St Anthony the Great, painted by Dawoud El Qorm

كنيسة السيّدة الجديدة - صربا الجنوب

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٩٤٦ وكرّسها المطران أغوسطينوس البستاني. بناؤها بازيليكيّ الطراز بثلاث أسواقٍ وحنية نصف دائريّة. رُمّمت الكنيسة بعد زلزال سنة ١٩٥٦، وأُضيفت إليها قبّة الجرس. تضمّ الكنيسة أيقونةً أورشليميّة عجائبيّة للسيّدة العذراء وهي التي حمت الأهالي خلال الحرب العالميّة الأولى.

The new Church of Our Lady - Sarba, South Lebanon.

The church was constructed in 1946 and consecrated by Archbishop Augustine el-Boustany. This basilical church features three naves and a semi-circular apse. Following the earthquake of 1956, the structure underwent restoration, and a bell tower was subsequently added to the church. Notably, the church houses an icon of the Theotokos from the school of Jerusalem, which is believed to possess miraculous properties. According to the local community, this icon protected the village during World War I, serving as a source of divine intervention and safeguarding.
