كنيسة مار الياس - بجرّين
هي البناء الوحيد الباقي من قرية بجرّين التي هُجرت على إثر الحرب العالميّة الأولى. تعود للعهد الصليبيّ، وهي محافِظة على طابعها القديم فلا توجد فيها قبّة جرس. بناؤها بسيط، وتظهر على جدرانها بقايا جداريّات مخفيّة تحت طبقة الكلس.

The church of St Elias - Bjerrin

It is the only standing building in tbe village of Bjerrin that was abandoned after the World War I. The church dates back to the times of the Crusades, and still preserves a modest architecture without a bell tower. On the walls are visible the remains of medieval frescoes under a layer of stuco.

كنيسة مار دانيال - حدث الجبّة

بعد تحوّلهم الى المسيحيّة حوّل أهالي الحدث معبدهم إلى كنيسةٍ على اسم مار الياس، ما زالت قائمة في القسم الجنوبيّ. سنة ١١١٠ باشرت بناء كنيسة مار دانيال صالومي إبنة الخوري باسيل من بشرّي. تعرّض البناء للخراب على يد المماليك سنة ١٢٨٣. وأخذ البناء شكله الحاليّ في زمن حبريّة البطريرك شمعون الحدثيّ. رُمّم البناء أواخر القرن العشرين. الكنيسة بازيليكيّة الطراز بعقد مصالب وثلاث حنايا مع رواق خارجيّ معقود. تحوي الكنيسة ثلاث لوحات لداوود القرم تعود للقرن التاسع عشر.

The church of St Daniel - Hadath el Jubba

After the conversion of the people of Hadath el Jubba, they converted an old pagan shrine to a church dedicated to St Elijah the prophet. In 1110 Salome the daughter of the priest Basil of Bsharre began building a new church dedicated to Daniel the prophet. The church was destroyed by the Mamluks in 1283. It then took its final shape during the pontificate of Patriarch Chamoun el Hadathy, and was renovated in the late XXth century. The church consists of a basilical plan with three naves with arched vaults and three apses, with an external ambulatory. It holds three paintings by Dawoud el Qor

Saint Zakhia's Cathedral, Ajaltoun, Lebanon

كنيسة مار زخيا القديمة - عجلتون

بُنيت الكنيسة الأولى سنة ١٦٧٢، وكرّسها البطريرك إسطفان الدويهيّ. سنة ١٨٢٨ كانت الكنيسة أصبحت ضيّقة، فأُخذت جحارتها، بالإضافة إلى حجارة كنيسةٍ قديمةٍ مهجورةٍ على اسم مار عبدا، كانت تخصّ آل الشمالي قبل نزوحهم إلى بلدة سهيلة. كان البناء بسعي الخوري نقولا صفير. الكنيسة كناية عن عقدٍ مُصالب ينتهي بحنية. تضمّ أربعة مذابح: مار زخيا، السيّدة، القلب الأقدس، مار يوسف. الكنيسة تحافظ على طابعها الأصليّ بنقوشها وزخرفتها الملوّنة والأشكال الهندسيّة على الجدران والأسقف.

The church of St Zakhia (St Nicolas) - Ajaltoun

The first church was built in 1672, and dedicated by Patriarch Estefan el Douwaihy. In 1828 the church became too small for the increasing number of villagers. With the help of Fr Nkoula Sfeir, two old churches were dismantled: the old St Zakhia and an old ruined chapel dedicated to St Abda that belonged to the Chemaly family that moved to Shaileh. The stones were used to build the new church. The structure is a crossed vault, with four altars: St Zakhia, the Madonna, the Sacred Heart, and St Joseph. The church still conserves its original decorum with colored floral motifs and arabesques.
