كنيسة مار إدنا - عين عكرينتقوم كنيسة مار إدنا في خراج بلدة عين عِكرين. بنيت على عِدَّة مراحل على أنقاضٍ رومانيّة قديمة. فهي بسوقٍ واحدٍ بعقدٍ سريريّ يحتوي على حنيَّة مُكوَّرة، وثلاثة قناطر في الجدار الجنوبيّ. على الحائط الشماليّ، بقايا جِداريّة، تعود الى القرون الوسطى . في الكنيسة لوحة نادرة لمار إدنا مرسومة على النحاس، كما وجد في داخلها بقايا رومانيّة. ومار إدنا هو لقب سريانيّ لمار طراخونبوس وهو شهيد من القرن الثالث وشفيع الأذن.The church of St Edna - Aïn EkrinThe ancient church stands in the vicinity of Aïn Ekrin built several stages over roman ruins. It consist of one nave with a crib vault, ending with a semi circular apse. The southern wall consists of three arched windows. The church holds a rare icon of St Edna painted on copper, and many roman poteries. The church also holds a medieval fresco. Edna is a Syriac nickname given to St Trakhonios, a Third century martyr, and the patron saint of ears.

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٧٥٥ في عهد البطريرك يعقوب عوّاد وكرّسها المطران سمعان عوّاد اسقف صيدا. هي اولى الكنائس المارونيّة التي بنيت في منطقة شرقيّ صيدا وساحل جزّين. تتميّز بهندستها البسيطة وبالنقوش على أعتاب أبوابها المنخفضة. خُرّبت إبّان الحرب الأهليّة وأعيد ترميمها في تسعينات القرن العشرين.

The church was built in 1755 during the pontificate of Patriarch Jacob Awad and was consecrated by Sidon’s bishop Simon Awad. It is the first maronite church in the vicinity of Sidon. The architecture is simple and doted with symbolic arabesque over the small narrow doors. During the civil war it was heavily damaged and restored during the nineties.

بدأ بناء الكنيسة بسعي الخوري مخايل العلم وبمساعدة إخوته، حوالي سنة ١٨٩٣، وكان الفراغ من البناء سنة ١٩٠٠ كما ورد في محضر الزيارة الرعائيّة لجبّة بشرّي. نُقش الشعر على مدخلها سنة ١٩٢٣. في الكنيسة لوحة لمار بطرس من عمل جوزيف العلم تعود الى سنة ٢٠٠٥.

The church of St Peter - Abdyn

The church was built by the aid of Fr Michael El Alam with the help of his brothers in 1893. It was achieved in 1900 according to the pastoral visit record of Bcharre’s area in the same year. A poem was engraved on the frontal portico in 1923. The church holds a painting of St Peter by Joseph El Alam dating back to 2005.
