كنيسة السيّدة الرعائيّة - العاقورةبنيت الكنيسة الأولى على أنقاض هيكلٍ رومانيّ كرّس للزهرة، أواسط القرن الخامس عشر، وكانت كنيسةً كبيرة حَوَت مكتبة مخطوطات مهمّة. رُممّت الكنيسة وجُدّدت عدّة مرّات لكنّ الكنيسة القديمة هُدُمت أواسط القرن العشرين لتبنى الكنيسة الحاليّة الأكبر. تحوي الكنيسة على بيت قربان رخاميّ من أثر الكنيسة القديمة، كذلك العديد من اللوحات المحليّة العائدة للقرنين السابع والثامن عشر.The Parish church of Our Lady - AqouraThe church was built over a roman temple dedicated to Venus, in the mid XVth century. The church had a rich manuscript library. It was restored many times, yet the old church was destroyed in the mid XXth century to make space for the new bigger church. The church holds the marble tabernacle of the old one and a collection of locally made paintings dating back to the XVIIth and XVIIIth century.

يعود بنا هذه الكنيسة إلى القرون الوسطى وتتألف من كنيستين:
الكنيسة القديمة ‏جدرانها مكسوة بالجداريات. هي من النوادر في العمارة الكنيسة لأن فيها حنيتان يتوسطهم رسم المصلوب. مواضيع الجداريات: الشفاعة، العذراء على العرش محاطة بمار بطرس وبولس، ذبيحة النبي ابراهيم، آثار لجدرانيات أخرى باتت مندثرة.
اما الكنيسة الثانية فهي أحدث عهداً ملاصقة للأولى، مبنية على النمط البازيليكي بثلاث اسواق، وامامها رواق بالحجر المعقود.
بقيت الكنيسة مستخدمة الى القرن التاسع عشر حين نزح آخر موارنة البلدة. ومنذ عام ٢٠١٢ انطلق مشروع ترميم الكنيسة.


This church is built in the medieval ages, and is composed of two parts:
The old church has walls filled with frescoes. It is one of the very rare churches in which you can see the crucified drawn between two naves.
The drawings are as follows:
The Deisis, Mary the throne of wisdom, surrounded by Saints Peter and Paul, Abraham's sacrifice, in addition to different frescoes that are damaged and can hardly be seen now.
The second church is just next to the first, but built in a later era, in a basilical form with three aisles.
The church was still in use by the maronite community until the 19th century.
Since 2012 a project to renew the church was launched.

دير مارت مورا - اهدن

بحسب البطريرك الدويهيّ بني الدّير سنة ١٣٣٩. كان دير مرت مورا أوّل كرسي لمطرانيّة إهدن، قبل انتقالها إلى دير مار سركيس رأس النهر. سنة ١٦٩٥ أعطى البطريرك الدويهيّ الدّير لمؤسسي الرهبانيّة الحلبيّة اللبنانيّة ليختبروا قانونهم الجديد وحياتهم المشتركة، فانضمّ إليهم آخر ناسك عاش فيه وهو أنطونيوس الإهدني. سنة ١٦٩٨ انشقّ بعض الرهبان عن القرعلي وأسسوا رهبانيّة جديدة مع جبرايل حوّا في مارت مورا لم تدم طويلًا. يتألّف الدير من كنيسة ذات عقد سريريّ، وغرفة كبيرة ملاصقة. رُمّم الدّير سنة ١٩٨٣.

The monastery of St Moura - Ehden

According to Patriarch Doueihy the monastery was built in 1339, and was the first seat for the bishops of Ehden before they moved tho St Serge’s monastery. In 1695 Patriarch Doueihy gave the monastery to the newly founded Alepan Lebanese Order, so the founding fathers could experience their new monastic rule and communal life. The last hermit of the monastery Antonios el Ehdeny joined the order. In 1698 the first split in the order happened and some monks decided to start a new order with Gebrayel Hawa in Mart Moura. This second order didn’t persist. The monastery consists of a crib vaulted church with an adjacent room, and was restored in 1983.

كنيسة مار الياس - حملايا

سنة ١٩٠٤ قُسِّمت كنيسة مار جرجس بين آل الراعي وآل الريّس. فقرّر يوسف الريّس البقاء مع أخواله في الكنيسة القديمة، لكنّه عاد سنة ١٩٠٦ وقرّر إنشاء كنيسة جديدة لمار جرجس مع عددٍ من عائلات البلدة. بقيت هذه الكنيسة مًقفلة حتّى ستينيّات القرن العشرين حين أّعيد افتتاحها وتكريسها على إسم مار الياس. الكنيسة مسقوفة وتحوي ثلاث حنايا. تضمّ الكنيسة ساعة طنّانة، وتحوي لوحةُ من عمل حبيب سرور.

The church of St Elijah - Hemlaya

In 1904 the old St George’s church was divided between the Rahi and the Rayess families. Back then Youssef El Rayess decided to stay with his uncles, yet in 1906 he decided to build a new church dedicated to St George with a number of the village’s families. This church remained closed until the sixties when it was rededicated to St Elijah. The church is a roofed structure with three apses, it holds a clocktower and contains a painting of St Elijah by Habib Srour.
