كاتدرائيّة مار جرجس - صربا

سنة ١٨٦٩ اذ كان المطران يوحنّا الحاج (البطربرك لاحقًا) أسقفًا على بعلبك، وكانت صربا تابعة له، إشترى قطعة أرضٍ من بطريركيّة الروم الملكيّين الكاثوليك. فبنيت الكاتدرائيّة بسعي الخوري بولس الأشقر البجّاني. مع موت البطريرك الحاج سنة ١٨٩٠، ضمّت صربا إلى أبرشيّة دمشق. وسنة ١٩٦٠ فصلت عن دمشق لتصبح منطقة صربا نيابةً بطريركيّةً مركزها هذه الكاتدرائيّة. يتميّز بناء الكاتدرائيّة بتصميمٍ بازيليكيّ بسوقٍ واحدة وثلاث مذابح. اللوحات التي تعلو المذابح من عمل الرسّام داوود القرم وتعود للأوائل القرن العشرين.

St George’s cathedral - Sarba

In 1869 Mgr.John el Hajj (later patriarch) archbishop of Baalbeck, since Sarba was a dependency of Baalbeck back then, bought a parcel of land from the Melkite Catholic patriarchate to build a church. The construction of the new church began with Fr Boulos al Achkar el Bejjany. When Patriarch el Hajj passed away, Sarba was transferred juridically from the see of Baalbeck to the see of Damascus. In 1860 Sarba was proclaimed an independent ecclesiastical province, a patriarchal vicariate with the cathedral at it’s center. The structure is a single nave with three apses, and three altars. The church holds three early XXth century paintings by Daoud el Qorm.

كنيسة سيّدة الإنتقال الجديدة - بقاع كفرا

هي الكنيسة الرعائيّة الجديدة. بُنيت على سطح الكنيسة القديمة، سنة ١٩٢٥. تجمع بين القديم والحديث. مسقوفة بالقرميد من الخارج، أمّا من الداخل، فسقفها بغداديّ. تتألق الكنيسة سوق واحدة، وتحتوي على رسومات وصُوَر وزخارف ونقوش على جدرانها، وزجاجيّات على شبابيكها.

The New church of Our Lady of Assumption - Bekaa Kafra

The new parish church of Our Lady was built on top of the old one in 1925, and consists of one nave. The walls are lavishly decorated with frescoes mouldings and arabesques. The roof is of local type of decoration called Baghdady. The church also contains beautiful stained glass windows.

كنيسة مار أسطفان - لحفد

الكنيسة بالأصل كانت معبدًا رومانيًّا على تلّة حوّله الصليبيّون إلى بُرجٍ للمراقبة، سكنه مقدَّموا لحفد. سنة ١٨١٠ تحوّل المكان إلى كنيسةٍ بعقدٍ مُصالبٍ لتكون رعيّة البلدة. مذبح الكنيسة ولوحة مار أسطفان، مُستوردان من إيطاليا بسعي من أبناء البلدة في بيروت أواخر القرن التاسع عشر. حمل إبن لحفد الطوباوي أسطفان نعمه شفاعة صاحب الكنيسة وتكنّى باسمه عند دخوله الرهبانيّة.

The church of St Stephen - Lehfed

The church was originally a pagan roman temple on a hill that was converted into a watch tower by the crusaders, after they left the land the maronite lords of Lehfed used it as residence. In 1810 the crossed vault structure took it’s current shape and was converted into a parochial church. The altar and the painting are imported from Italy with the help of the villagers who lived in Beirut at the end of the XIXth century. Blessed Stephen Nehme, the son of Lehfed, took the name of the Church's patron saint when he entered the monastic life.
