بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٧٥٥ في عهد البطريرك يعقوب عوّاد وكرّسها المطران سمعان عوّاد اسقف صيدا. هي اولى الكنائس المارونيّة التي بنيت في منطقة شرقيّ صيدا وساحل جزّين. تتميّز بهندستها البسيطة وبالنقوش على أعتاب أبوابها المنخفضة. خُرّبت إبّان الحرب الأهليّة وأعيد ترميمها في تسعينات القرن العشرين.The church was built in 1755 during the pontificate of Patriarch Jacob Awad and was consecrated by Sidon’s bishop Simon Awad. It is the first maronite church in the vicinity of Sidon. The architecture is simple and doted with symbolic arabesque over the small narrow doors. During the civil war it was heavily damaged and restored during the nineties.

كنيسة السيّدة - مراح الزيّات

الكنيسة قديمة العهد وتاريخ بنائها مجهول. في الكنيسة العديد من الحجار المقصوبة المأخوذة من قلعة سمار جبيل القريبة. البناء كناية عن عقد سريريّ ينتهي بحنية نصف دائريّة. تضمّ الكنيسة لوحتين من القرن التاسع عشر: الأولى للعذراء من عمل كنعان ديب والثانية لمار جرجس من عمل المستشرق البولونيّ بول شلافاك.

The church of Our Lady - Mrah El Zayat

The church is an old structure with an unknown history. The structure is a crib vault ending with a semi circular apse, with many spolias from the nearby Smar Jbeil castle. The church holds two XIXth century paintings: the Madonna by Kanaan Dib and St George by the polish orientalist Paul Shlavat.

كنيسة سيّدة النجاة - بكاسين

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٨٥٥، بعقدٍ مصالب. تعرّضت للتخريب إبّان حوادث سنة ١٨٦٠، ورمّمت أواخر القرن العشرين. تحوي الكنيسة على لوحة سيّدة الحبل بلا دنس وهي من عمل غربيّ، كذلك لوحة مار يوسف ومجموعة زجاجيّات.

The church of Our Lady of Deliverance - Bkassine

The church was built in 1855, and consists of a single arched vault. The building was sabotaged during the war of 1860 and finally restored in the late XXth century. The church holds a European late XIXth century painting depicting the Immaculate conception. The modern painting of St Joseph and the stained glass windows are the work of the artist André Nammour.

كنيسة مارت تقلا - سمار جبيل
هي كنيسة صغيرة بجوار كنيسة مار نوهرا الرعائيّة، مؤلّفة من سوق واحد ينتهي بحنية. بحسب التقليد المحليّ يعود وجود كنيسة لتكريم مارت تقلا بالقرب من كنيسة مار نوهرا، لأنّ شقيقة القديس نوهرا كانت تدعى تقلا، وقد تبعت أخاها في تبشيره، واستشهدت مثل شفيعتها ثم دفنت هي ايضاً في سمار جبيل. إلا أنّه لا دلائل تاريخيّة حتى الآن تثبت هذه المقولة. الكنيسة تعود لأواخر القرن الثامن عشر.

The church of St Thecla - Smar Jbeil

The church is a small chapel near the parish church of St Nohra. It consists of a single aisle ending with an apse. According to local traditions the church is dedicated to the patroness of St Nohra’s sister also called Thecla and also a martyr, yet no historical records show that. The church dates back to the late XVIIIth century.
