كاتدرائيّة مار اسطفان - البترونبُنيت كاتدرائية مار أسطفان على أنقاض كنيسةٍ أقدم عهدًا سنة ١٩١٠، يوم كانت المدينة في أوجّ نموّها. تتميّز الكاتدرائيّة أنّها تجمع الطراز النيوكلاسيكيّ والنيوبيزطيّ. مبنيّة على نمطٍ بازيليكيّ بثلاث أسواقٍ تنتهي بثلاث حنايا وفيها ثلاث مذابح. تحوي الكنيسة كرسيّ الأسقف، لوحة غربيّة الصنع لمار أسطفان، بيما للوعظ، وجرن للعماد ذات قبّة. واجهتها الغربيّة تطلّ على المرفأ وتتميّز بقبابها التي يتوسطها تمثال مار اسطفان.St Stephen’s cathedral - BatrounThe cathedral was built over an older church in 1910, during the city’s economical peak. The chuch combines neoclassical and neo Byzantine styles, according to a basilical plan with three naves and three semi circular apses with altars. The cathedral holds the episcopal chair, a western painting of St Stephen, a pulpit, and a western style domed baptisimal font. The western facade of the church overlooks the city’s port, with two domes ans St Stephen’s statue between them.

محبسة مار شلّيطا - وادي المذابح حدشيت

وادي المذابح هو من روافد الوادي المقدَس، وفيه محبسة مار أرتاميوس (شليطا) وتعود للقرن الحادي عشر. مؤلّفة من عقد سريريّ ينتهي بحنية نصف دائريّة، البناء أصبح اليوم أثرًا. في الموقع بقايا عظام بشريّة.

The Hermitage of St Chalita - The valley of Mazabeh Hadsheet

The valley of Mazabeh is a part of the Holy Valley descending from Hadsheet. In the valley stands the hermitage of St Artemius (Chalita in syriac) dating back to the XIth century. The building is in ruins consisting of a cribbed vault ending with a semi circular apse. The church contains remains of human bones.

بُنيت الكنيسة أوّلاً سنة ١٤٧٠ ورُمِّمَت سنة ١٧٧٦. هي الوحيدة في الشّرق التي تحمل شفاعة هذا القدّيس. الكنيسة ما زالت تُحافظ على الشَعريّة التي تفصل أماكن جلوس الرجال عن النّساء وهي مِن صُنعٍ مِصريّ تعود للقرن الثامن عشر. مذبح الكنيسة إكتُشف إبّان الترميم الأخير مِن سنة فرمِّمَ وأُعيد لبهائه الأصليّ. لوحة مار أوْتِل تعود لسنة ١٩٠٣. مار أوْتِل هو شفيع كفرصغاب إذ حماها من داء الطاعون، لذلك تُقيم البلدة تذكارًا رسميًّا لهُ في ٣ حزيران وتذكار هذه المعجزة في ٢٧ آب. كذلك مار أوْتِل هو شفيع المسافرين وإليه ينسب حماية بعض أبناء كفرصغاب من الغرق في سفينة التيتانيك سنة ١٩١٢.

The church was first built in 1470 and restored in 1776. It is the only church in the east consecrated to St Awtel. The church still conserves the traditional wooden separator between men’s and women’s sitting place, made in Egypt in the XVIIIth century. The painting of St Awtel dates back to year 1903. The old altar was discovered a year ago during restoration. Kfarsghab celebrates two feasts of the saint on the 3rd of june and the 27th of august when the saint miraculously protected the village from the plague. St Awtel is also the patron of the travelers since he miraculously protected the Kfarsghaby passengers of the Titanic in 1912.

كنيسة مار أغوسطينوس - كفرصغاب

كنيسة قديمة العهد تعود للقرون الوسطى. فيها عقد البطريرك يوسف الرزّي مجمع ضيعة موسى سنة ١٥٩٨ الذي أقرّ جملة من الإصلاحات الكنسيّة كاعتماد التقويم الغريغوريّ. بقيت الكنيسة خربةً ردحًا من الزمن، إلى أن رمّمت سنة ٢٠٠٧.

The church of St Augustin - Kfarsghab

An old medieval church dating back to the Middle Ages. In 1598 the council of Dai'at Moussa was held in it, presided by Patriarch Youssef El Rezzi, and proclaimed many liturgical renovations such as the adoption of the Gregorian calendar. The church laid in ruins for a long time, until it was renovated in 2007.
