كنيسة مار أوسابيوس - عبيداتبُنيت الكنيسة الحاليّة سنة ١٨٨٩ بسعي الخوري يوسف نصر فوق مقامِ أقدم كان بدوره بُني مكان هيكلٍ وثنيّ ما زالت آثاره ظاهرة في البناء: وهي كناية عن حجرٍ يحوي كتابة يونانيّة وبعض الأعمدة. أمّا تسمية الكنيسة مار أوسابيوس فنادرة لأن الموارنة غالبًا ما نادوه بلقبه السريانيّ حوشب. تشتهر الكنيسة بوجود جحر للنذورات، فمار اوسابيوس شفيع المصابين بالثآليل. تضم الكنيسة لوحة محليّة لمار حوشب مجهولة الراسم.The church of St Eusebius - ObeidatThe current church was built in 1889 under the mandate of Fr. Youssef Naser over an older shrine, that was built over a pagan temple with some of its ruins still visible: some columns and an epitaph with greek inscriptions. The dedication of the church to St Eusebius is unique because the maronites usually call him by his Syriac attribute Hawsheb meaning the wise one. The church is famous for being a pilgrimage site for people with warts. The church holds a local icon of the saint drawn by an unknown painter.

A double late medieval church built on the banks of Al Jawz river. Her first altar is consecrated to the Madonna (and is presumed to be the older part) and the second for St Anthony the great. The church is a local shrine and a pilgrimage site

كنيسة مار يوحنا المعمدان - الحمصيّة

بُنيت الكنيسة الأولى أوائل القرن التاسع عشر، وخربت في أحداث سنة ١٨٦٠. أعيد بناؤها سنة ١٨٩٠ وكرّسها المطران بطرس البستاني رئيس أساقفة صور وصيدا آنذاك. رمّمت الكنيسة ووسّعت على عدّة مراحل آخرها في تسعينيّات القرن العشرين. البناء هقد مصالب ينتهي بحنية نصف دائريّة. تضمّ الكنيسة أيقونة أورشليميّة أثريّة ونسخةً عنها طبق الأصل.
The church of St John the Baptist - Homsyeh

The first church was built in the beginning of the XIXth century and was ruined in the war of 1860. The church was rebuilt in 1890 and consecrated by Mgr. Boutros el Boustany archbishop of Tyr and Sidon back then. The church was restored and enlarged many times taking its current form in the nineties. The structure consists of a crossed vault ending with a semi circular apse. The church hold an ancient icon from the school of Jerusalem and an exact copy of it.

يعود بناء الكنيسة للقرن العاشر، تحتوي على مجموعة جدرانيّات تعود إلى القرون الوسطى. هي من أكثر الكنائس المحافظة على طابعها الأول هندسةً، وتُجسّد الجدرانيّات التي زيَّنتها منذ القرن الثالث عشر، موضوعاتٍ من العهدين القديم والجديد.
تُجسّد الجدرانية قصَّة الخلاص المقسومة الى جزءين: الأوّل إلى الناحية اليمنى يُمثّل يدَي الربّ وموسى يتلقّى منهما الوصايا العشر، والى الناحية اليسرى ذبيحة النبي إبراهيم، وما بين الإثنين رسمٌ لعمانوئيل وسط القمر والشمس. والثاني الى اليمين يمثّل بِشارة العذراء، يليه رسم للنبي دانيال، ومار إسطفان. على الحائط الشماليّ صورة مار تاودروس، وعلى الحائط الجنوبيّ صورة القديس جاورجيوس. في الوسط ايقونة الشفاعة مع الملائكة وعلى مستوى المذبح صف الرسل الإثنا عشر.


The church was built during the tenth century, and contains a collection of medieval Syriac frescoes. It is one of the most preserved churches architecturally. The church was covered with frescos dating back to the 13th century and depicting themes from the Old and the New Testament. The main fresco represents on the right side the hand of God giving Moses the ten commandments, on the left the sacrifice of Abraham. In the middle is Emmanuel between the sun and the moon. The second part depicts the Annunciation, prophet Daniel, and Stephen the Protomartyr. On the northern wall one can find St Theodorus, and St George on the southern. In the main apse is the Deisis with angels, below it the row of the twelve apostles
