كاتدرائيّة سيّدة البحار - صورفي القرن الثامن عشر بنيت الكنيسة المارونيّة الأولى في مدينة صور. سنة ١٧٨٢ أذن النائب البطريركيّ ميخائيل الخازن بإنشاء أنطوش للرهبانيّة البلديّة. سنة ١٨١٠ جدّد المطران يوحنّا الحلو (البطريرك لاحقًا) تكريس الأنطوش وأسّس رعيّة مارونيّة في المدينة. سنة ١٨١٥ نزح قسم من موارنة عيتا الشعب إلى صور حاملين معهم صورة العذراء العجائبيّة. سنة ١٨٧٠ وُسّعت الكنيسة وأخذت شكلها الحاليّ. سنة ١٩٠٦ أقام قداسة البابا بيوس العاشر أبرشيّة صور وجُعلت كنيسة سيّدة البحار كاتدرائيّةً للأبرشيّة. رمّمت الكاتدرائيّة أواخر القرن العشرين. تضمّ الكاتدرائيّة مجموعةً من الأيقونات التي تمثل الأحداث الكتابيّة في مدينة صور، أمّا الكابيلا السفليّة فتضمّ أيقونات وذخائر شهداء المدينة القدّيسين.Our Lady of the seas cathedral - TyreDuring the XVIth century the first Maronite church was built in Tyr. In 1782 Mgr Michael El Khazen commissioned the construction of a presbytery for the Lebanese Maronite order. In 1810 Mgr Youhanna el Helou (later Patriarch) canonically established a maronite parish. In 1815 many maronites moved from Aita El Shaab to the city bringing with them the miraculous icon of the Madonna. In 1906 the archbishopric of Tyr was established by Pope Pius X making this church the cathedral. The cathedral was restored in the later half of the XXth century. The church holds many icons depicting the biblical episodes that happened in the city. The crypt under the church holds the icons and the relics of the city’s martyrs.

كنيسة مار يوحنّا المعمدان - زبدين

هي كنيسة البلدة الرعائيّة بُنيت سنة ١٨٨١. البناء كناية عن عقدٍ مصالبٍ ينتهي بحنية. شفيع الكنيسة هو مار يوحنّا المعمدان ويُحتفل بعيده يوم قطع رأسه في ٢٩ آب. تضم الكنيسة لوحةً تمثل حدث استشهاد يوحنّا المعمدان، ونقش على الباب بمثل عماد المسيح.

The church of St John - Zebdine

The church is Zebdine’s parrochial church, it was built in 1881. It consists of a cribbed vault. The church is dedicated to St John the Baptist and it commemorates him on the 29th of August the feast of his martyrdom. The church holds a painting depicting the martyrdom of St John and an ornate wooden door depicting the Theophany.

تأسّس الدّير في مزرعة الراس بعد جلاء المماليك عن كسروان. عام ١٧٠٤ كان الدّير بعهدة القسّ بطرس صفرونيوس الحاقلانيّ من زوق مصبح، الذي ترهّب فيه مع رهبانه العبّاد.
قرّر المجمع اللبنانيّ المنعقد سنة ١٧٣٦ إلغاء الأديار المزدوجة، وفصل أديار الرهبان عن أديار الراهبات، وشدّد على أن يكون للراهبات قانون خاصّ. عند الإنتقال إلى مرحلة تطبيق مبدأ الفصل إتّفق القاصد الرسوليّ يوسف السمعانيّ مع المطران عبدالله قراعلي، على إنشاء دير قانونيّ يكون مثالًا وقدوة لسائر أديار الراهبات في دير ما الياس الراس. وهكذا آل الدير إلى الرّهبانيّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة.
باشر الرهبان، بعد استلام الدّير، بناء كنيسةٍ ودير مخصّص لسكن راهبات محصّنات فبني الدّير الجديد مع كنيسته الكبيرة. فُتحت أبواب الدير في ٦ كانون الثاني ١٧٤٠. ولا يزال إلى اليوم واحة صلاةٍ وتأملٍ، ومزارًا يقصده المؤمنون من كلّ حدبٍ وصوب.

The convent of St Elias el Ras - Jeita

The convent was built in the farm of El Rass after the Mamluks left Keserwan. In 1704 the convent was under the custody of Boutros Safronius el Haklany, a monk from Zouk Mosbeh. In 1736 the Lebanese Council dictated that nunneries shall be separated from monks' monasteries, thereby abolishing mixed monasteries, and giving nuns their own convents and rules. When it was time to apply the new rules, Monsignor Youssef El Semaany, the papal nuncio, and Bishop Abdallah Qaraaly, decided to give St Elias’s convent to the nuns of the newly formed Lebanese Order. It was decided to build a new convent suitable for contemplative nuns with a big church. The new convent was consecrated on the 6th of January 1740, and is still a haven for prayer and meditation, and a shrine for all pilgrims.

كنيسة السيّدة الجديدة - صربا الجنوب

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٩٤٦ وكرّسها المطران أغوسطينوس البستاني. بناؤها بازيليكيّ الطراز بثلاث أسواقٍ وحنية نصف دائريّة. رُمّمت الكنيسة بعد زلزال سنة ١٩٥٦، وأُضيفت إليها قبّة الجرس. تضمّ الكنيسة أيقونةً أورشليميّة عجائبيّة للسيّدة العذراء وهي التي حمت الأهالي خلال الحرب العالميّة الأولى.

The new Church of Our Lady - Sarba, South Lebanon.

The church was constructed in 1946 and consecrated by Archbishop Augustine el-Boustany. This basilical church features three naves and a semi-circular apse. Following the earthquake of 1956, the structure underwent restoration, and a bell tower was subsequently added to the church. Notably, the church houses an icon of the Theotokos from the school of Jerusalem, which is believed to possess miraculous properties. According to the local community, this icon protected the village during World War I, serving as a source of divine intervention and safeguarding.
