كنيسة مار الياس الحيّ - قرطبابُنيت الكنيسة الأولى منتصف القرن السادس عشر ورُمّمت سنة ١٥٥٦، وأعيد البناء سنة ١٨٤٦. أمّا البناء بشكله الحاليّ فيعود إلى سنة ١٩٠٣. وهي كنيسة بازيليكيّة بثلاثة أسواق وثلاث مذابح. تحوي الكنيسة مجموعة من اللوحات لكنعان ديب وداوود القرم، كما ومجموعة من الزجاجيّات. واجهة الكنيسة مشغولة بالحجر المقصوب مزيّنة بجرسيّة وساعة طنّانة.The Church of St Elijah the prophet - QartabaThe first church was built in the middle of the XVIth century and restored in 1556, it was rebuilt twice in 1846 and 1903. The church is built according to a basilical plan with three naves and three altars. The church holds many XIXth century paintings by Kanan Dib and Daoud el Qorm. The church is decorated by stained glass windows. The exterior of the church is decorated with a bell tower with a clock.

كنيسة مار زخيا القديمة - عجلتون

بُنيت الكنيسة الأولى سنة ١٦٧٢، وكرّسها البطريرك إسطفان الدويهيّ. سنة ١٨٢٨ كانت الكنيسة أصبحت ضيّقة، فأُخذت جحارتها، بالإضافة إلى حجارة كنيسةٍ قديمةٍ مهجورةٍ على اسم مار عبدا، كانت تخصّ آل الشمالي قبل نزوحهم إلى بلدة سهيلة. كان البناء بسعي الخوري نقولا صفير. الكنيسة كناية عن عقدٍ مُصالب ينتهي بحنية. تضمّ أربعة مذابح: مار زخيا، السيّدة، القلب الأقدس، مار يوسف. الكنيسة تحافظ على طابعها الأصليّ بنقوشها وزخرفتها الملوّنة والأشكال الهندسيّة على الجدران والأسقف.

The church of St Zakhia (St Nicolas) - Ajaltoun

The first church was built in 1672, and dedicated by Patriarch Estefan el Douwaihy. In 1828 the church became too small for the increasing number of villagers. With the help of Fr Nkoula Sfeir, two old churches were dismantled: the old St Zakhia and an old ruined chapel dedicated to St Abda that belonged to the Chemaly family that moved to Shaileh. The stones were used to build the new church. The structure is a crossed vault, with four altars: St Zakhia, the Madonna, the Sacred Heart, and St Joseph. The church still conserves its original decorum with colored floral motifs and arabesques.

في القرن الثامن عشر بنيت الكنيسة المارونيّة الأولى في مدينة صور. سنة ١٧٨٢ أذن النائب البطريركيّ ميخائيل الخازن بإنشاء أنطوش للرهبانيّة البلديّة. سنة ١٨١٠ جدّد المطران يوحنّا الحلو (البطريرك لاحقًا) تكريس الأنطوش وأسّس رعيّة مارونيّة في المدينة. سنة ١٨١٥ نزح قسم من موارنة عيتا الشعب إلى صور حاملين معهم صورة العذراء العجائبيّة. سنة ١٨٧٠ وُسّعت الكنيسة وأخذت شكلها الحاليّ. سنة ١٩٠٦ أقام قداسة البابا بيوس العاشر أبرشيّة صور وجُعلت كنيسة سيّدة البحار كاتدرائيّةً للأبرشيّة. رمّمت الكاتدرائيّة أواخر القرن العشرين. تضمّ الكاتدرائيّة مجموعةً من الأيقونات التي تمثل الأحداث الكتابيّة في مدينة صور، أمّا الكابيلا السفليّة فتضمّ أيقونات وذخائر شهداء المدينة القدّيسين.

Our Lady of the seas cathedral - Tyre
During the XVIth century the first Maronite church was built in Tyr. In 1782 Mgr Michael El Khazen commissioned the construction of a presbytery for the Lebanese Maronite order. In 1810 Mgr Youhanna el Helou (later Patriarch) canonically established a maronite parish. In 1815 many maronites moved from Aita El Shaab to the city bringing with them the miraculous icon of the Madonna. In 1906 the archbishopric of Tyr was established by Pope Pius X making this church the cathedral. The cathedral was restored in the later half of the XXth century. The church holds many icons depicting the biblical episodes that happened in the city. The crypt under the church holds the icons and the relics of the city’s martyrs.
