كنيسة سيّدة الورديّة الدلغانة - دير القمر

بنيت في ثلاثينيّات القرن الثامن عشر، وأتمّ البناء سنة ١٧٦٠ على يد الأب متّى الحكيم الحلبيّ طبيب أمراء دير القمر. تُلاصق الكنيسة كابيلا سيّدة الرحمة وهي تعود للنصف الثاني من القرن التاسع عشر. تحوي الكنيسة على العديد من اللوحات التصويريّة أهمّها لوحة سيّدة الورديّة وهي من عمل كنعان ديب الدلبتاوي سنة ١٨٦٤، ومار يوسف لنجيب شكري تعود لسنة ١٩١٠.

The church of Our Lady of the Rosary El Delghane - Deir el Qamar

The church was built in the third decade of the the XVIIIth century. The construction was concluded in 1760 under the supervision of Fr Matta el Hakim from Aleppo who was the personal doctor of Deir el Qamar’s princes. Adjacent to the church stands a small chapel dedicated to our Lady of Mercy dating back to the second half of the XIXth century. The church holds many paintings inculding Our Lady of the Rosary by Kanaan Dib dating back to 1864 and St Joseph by Najib Chukry dating back to 1910.

Mar Maroun Church, Beit ed-Dine, Lebanon

كاتدرائيّة مار مارون - بيت الدّين
سنة ١٨٢٩ وهب الأمير قاسم شهاب المطران يوحنا الحلو (البطريرك لاحقًا) قطعة أرض لبناء كنيسة على اسم مار مارون لأبناء البلدة، هذه الكنيسة الأولى هي السكرستيّا اليوم. سعى لبناء الكنيسة الحاليّة الأمير بشير الثاني الشهابيّ الكبير، وكرّسها البطريرك يوسف حبيش في زيارته لمركز الإمارة في أيّار سنة ١٨٣٧، وجعلها كرسيًّا لرئيس أساقفة صور وصيدا المطران عبدالله البستاني، وبنى له دارًا للمطرانيّة بقربها، ليكون مركز المطران بجوار مركز الإمارة. تعرّضت الكنيسة للتخريب مرّتين: سنة ١٨٦٠ و١٩٨٣. أعيد ترميمها أخيرًا في تسعينيّات القرن العشرين.

The Cathedral of St Maroun - Beit El Din
In 1829 Prince Qasem Chehab gave Bishop Youhanna El Helou (later Patriarch) a parcel of land to build a church dedicated to St Maroun on, this old church is used today as a sacristy. The current cathedral was built by Prince Bechir the second Chehab and consecrated by Patriarch Youssef Hobeich during his visit to the seat of power in Beit El Din in May 1838, and made it the seat of the archbishop of Tyr and Sidon, with its first prelate Archbishop Abdallah El Boustany. The archbishopric was constructed adjacent to the church, so that the seat of the Archbishop would be near the princely palace. The church was devastated during the wars of 1860 and 1983, and finally renovated during the nineties.

بنى الموارنة كنيستهم الأولى في معراب على أنقاض هيكل رومانيّ وثنيّ. خُرّبت هذه الكنيسة الأولى مع حملة المماليك على كسروان سنة ١٣٠٥. أعاد أبناء البلدة بناء الكنيسة على إسم ما باسيليوس وغريغوريوس، وأخذت شكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٨٨٥. في هذه الكنيسة يرقد على رجاء القيامة المطران بولس فؤاد نعيم تابت (١٩٢٩-٢٠٠٩) وهو أوّل سفير بابويّ مارونيّ لبنانيّ.


The first church was built by the Maronites over a roman pagan temple. The church was destroyed during the Mamluk’s campaign on Keserwan in 1305. After their return, the villagers reconstructed the church and it was consecrated to Sts Basil and Gregory. It took its final shape in 1885. The church is the final resting place of Bishop Paul Fouad Naim Tabet (1929-2009), the first Lebanese Maronite Papal nuncio
