كنيسة مار الياس الحيّ - قرطبابُنيت الكنيسة الأولى منتصف القرن السادس عشر ورُمّمت سنة ١٥٥٦، وأعيد البناء سنة ١٨٤٦. أمّا البناء بشكله الحاليّ فيعود إلى سنة ١٩٠٣. وهي كنيسة بازيليكيّة بثلاثة أسواق وثلاث مذابح. تحوي الكنيسة مجموعة من اللوحات لكنعان ديب وداوود القرم، كما ومجموعة من الزجاجيّات. واجهة الكنيسة مشغولة بالحجر المقصوب مزيّنة بجرسيّة وساعة طنّانة.The Church of St Elijah the prophet - QartabaThe first church was built in the middle of the XVIth century and restored in 1556, it was rebuilt twice in 1846 and 1903. The church is built according to a basilical plan with three naves and three altars. The church holds many XIXth century paintings by Kanan Dib and Daoud el Qorm. The church is decorated by stained glass windows. The exterior of the church is decorated with a bell tower with a clock.

بُني الدير سنة 1700، آن عَرض الشيخ سليمان الهاشم العاقوريّ على الرهبانيَّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة أن يسلِّمها مزرعة حوب لتنشئ فيها ديرًا. حوالي سنة 1714، عرض أهالي تنُّورين على المؤسِّس المطران عبدالله قراعلي، أن يسلِّموه وقف مار ضومط، لتقوم الرهبانيَّة بتعليم الأحداث. أنشأت الرهبانيَّة، سنة 1749، ديرًا على اسم العذراء مريم، على أنقاض كنيسةٍ قديمة. ومن ثمَّ عملت الرهبانيَّة على توسيع أملاكها في المحلَّة. سنة 1766، أوقف الأمير يوسف شهاب خرائب مار يعقوب الوادي ومار أنطونيوس. وسنة 1790، جعلت الرهبانيَّة دير السيِّدة ودير مار أنطونيوس ديرًا واحدًا، حيث هو اليوم، على اسم القدِّيس أنطونيوس الكبير. قرب الدير أُنشئت محبسة على اسم مار جرجس خرّجت كوكبة من الحبساء القدّيسين. كنيسته تحوي مذابح رخاميّة ومجموعة زيتيّات أهمها لوحة مار انطونيوس الكبير لداود القرم.


The mission of the Lebanese Maronite order started in Tannourin during the year 1700 when a local feudal lord Sleiman Hashem el Akoury gave the order a farm in Houb to build a monastery. In 1714 Bishop Abdalla Qaraaly was given custody over the church of St Doumit in order to start a monastic school. In 1790 the monks joined the two monasteries of the Madonna and St Anthony into the one that stands today. Near the monastery St George’s hermitage was erected. The monastic church holds beautiful marble altars and many oil paintings. The most important painting is the one depicting St Anthony the Great, painted by Dawoud El Qorm

كنيسة مار سابا - عبدين

أواخر القرن الثامن عشر استوطن عبدين عائلات من الفلّاحين شركاء لمشايخ آل صعب، وبنوا لهم قبوًا صغيرًا ليكون كنيسةً مكرّسة لمار سابا. سنة ١٨٨٤ بوشر بناء الكنيسة الحاليّة بسعي الخوري يوحنّا العلم وتمّ البناء سنة ١٨٨٩. تحوي الكنيسة لوحة لمار سابا من عمل كنعان ديب تعود لسنة ١٨٥٣.

The church of St Sabas - Abdin

At the end of the XVIIIth century, the village of Abdin was inhabited by families who worked for the Saabs, a local feudal family. The first inhabitants built a small vault to be dedicated as a church. In 1884 with the aid of Fr Youhanna El Alam a new church began to be built. The construction was done in 1889. The church holds a painting of St Sabas by Kanaan Dib dating back to 1853.

بنيت الكنيسة الحاليّة سنة ١٧٦٣ على أنقاض برجٍ صليبيّ. تتألف الكنيسة من صحنٍ كبير ينتهي بالحنية والمذبح، وعلى جهة الجنوب صحن آخر أعلى من مستوى الكنيسة ينتهي بمذبح مكرّس للقدّيسة تقلا. تحوي الكنيسة أيقونة مارونيّة للسيّدة تعود للقرن السابع عشر، أمّا لوحة مار جرجس فهي غربيّة الصنع.

The church of St George - Baskinta

The current church was built in 1763, over an old crusader’s tower. The church consists of a great nave ending with the apse and the altar. A smaller nave on the southern side is higher than the church ending with a small altar dedicated to St Thecla. The church holds a XVIIth century Maronite icon of the Madona, and a European painting of St George.
