محبسة مار سمعان العاموديّ - بقرقاشا

هذه المحبسة المبنيّة في حرف شيرٍ صخريّ، تعود للقرون الوسطى. بحسب البطريرك الدويهيّ بنتها سنة ١١١٢ تقلا إبنة الخوري باسيل البشرّاني على إسم مار جرجس ومار ضوميط، وما برحت وتحوّلت على اسم مار سمعان العاموديّ. يشهد على ذلك كتاب الريش قُريان السريانيّ الخاص بالمحبسة، الذي يعود لسنة ١٢٤٢، وهو محفوظ في جامعة السلامانكا.

St Simon the stylite hermitage - Bqorqasha

The hermitage is built on the slope of a rocky cliff in the holy valley of Qannoubin. It dates back according to patriarch Stephen Al Douwaihy to year 1112 when Thekle the daughter of a priest named Basil of Bsharre built a hermitage dedicated to Sts George and Doumith, that was rededicated to St Simon the stylite. A Syriac lectionary proper to the hermitage, the Rish Qoryan, dating back to 1242, that was discovered and conserved in Salamanca’s university, attests this story.

كنيسة مار جرجس - حاصبيّا

بُنبيت الكنيسة الأولى أوائل القرن التاسع عشر، وأُعيد بناء الحاليّة سنة ١٩١٠. الكنيسة كناية عن عقدٍ مُصالبٍ ينتهي بحنية نصف دائريّة. مذبح الكنيسة من الحجر الأصفر مبنيّ سنة ١٩١٢. بعد الحرب الأهليّة اللبنانيّة نزح القسم الأكبر من مسيحيّي البلدة فأصبحت الكنيسة شبه مهجورة. زارها غبطة البطريرك مار بشارة بطرس الراعي صيف سنة ٢٠١١.

The church of St George - Hasbaya

The first church was built in the early XIXth century, and rebuilt in 1910. The structure consists of a crossed vault ending with a semi circular apse. The altar is made of a local yellow limestone in 1912. After the civil war the town’s maronite population left in great numbers and the church became partially abandoned. The Patriarch Bechara el Rai visited the church in the summer of 2011.

بُنيت الكنيسة الأولى في القرن السابع عشر فوق بقايا هيكل رومانيّ على يد الخوري يرد الحدشيتي. أواخر القرن التاسع عشر أُعيد بناؤها على يد الخوري مخايل الخوري يونس وأُتِمَّ سنة ١٨٩٩. اللوحات الثلاث الرئيسيّة من عمل داود القرم، أمّا الجداريّات فهي أحدث عهدًا تعود لمنتصف القرن العشرين وهي من عمل مالك شحيبر طوق.

The church was first built in the 17th century over the ruins of a roman temple by Fr. Yard of Hadshit. During the 19th century the church was rebuilt by Fr. Mikhael el Khoury Younes in 1899. The three main paintings were done by Dawoud al Qorm, The murals are more recent from the mid 20th century by Malek Chehaiber Tawk.
