دير مار شليطا - القطّارة ميفوق
تَقَرَّر في مجمع الرهبانيَّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة العام المنعقد في ١٦ تشرين الثاني ١٨٤٧، في عهد الأب العام عمَّانوئيل الأشقر، وبرضى البطريرك يوسف راجي الخازن، فَصل بعض أرزاق من دير سيِّدة ميفوق لإنشاء دير في محلَّة القطَّارة شرقيِّ ميفوق، على اسم القدِّيس شلِّيطا. سنة ١٨٥٠، بدء بناء الدّير وكان إتمام بناء الكنيسة سنة ١٨٦١، فَكَرَّسها البطريرك بولس مسعد. عُيِّن هذا الدير، سنة ١٨٧٠، مدرسةّ لتعليم اللغات الأجنبيّة، وكان يضمُّ أيضًا عددًا من المبتدئين. وتجدر الإشارة إلى أنَّ هذا الدير لا يزال حتَّى أيَّامنا يقوم بزراعة أشجار التوت واستخدامها في إنتاج مواسم الحرير. كما يضمّ الدّير محبسة.

The Monastery of St Challita - El Qattara Mayfouk.

On the 16th of October 1848 the monastic chapter of the Lebanese Maronite Order decided to separate some lands from the monastery of our Lady of Mayfouk to found a monastery dedicated to St Challita, during the mandate of Abbot Emmanuel El Achkar. In 1850, works on the monastery began and were concluded in 1861 when Patriarch Boulos Massad consecrated the church. The monastery was made a school for foreign languages and a novitiate. The monastery still has a great traditional silk production - a rare preservance in Lebanon. The monastery holds also a hermitage.

كنيسة المخلص - حمّاتا

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٩٠٥ بموجب اتفاق بين عائلتي أبي يونس وعاد يعود ل٢٨ تشرين الأوّل سنة ١٩٠٢، صادق عليه المطران نعمةالله سلوان. بنيت الكنيسة على مراحل كما تشهد المداميك البارزة في جدرانها. كرّس الكنيسة الخورأسقف يوسف الحايك سنة ١٩٣٩. الكنيسة كناية عن عقدٍ مصالب مرتفع، تنتهي بحنية مستقيمة ومذبح، رمّمت أواخر القرن العشرين. للكنيسة قبّتين للجرس إحداها مثمّنة الأضلاع والأخرى مربعة. تحوي الكنيسة على ثلاث لوحات من عمل داوود القرم تُمثّل التجلي والسيّدة ومار يوسف.

The church of the Holy Savior - Hammana

In 1902 an accord to build a church was concluded between the two families of Abi Youness and Aad, it was promulgated by Bishop Nematullah Selwan on the 28th of October. The construction ended in 1905. The church was consecrated by Chorbishop Youssef el Hayek in 1939. The structure consists of a crossed vault with three straight apses and three altars. The church was renovated in the late XXth century. The building is ornated with two bell towers one octagonal and the other squared. The church holds three paintings by Dawood el Qorm depicting the Transfiguration, the Madonna and St Joseph.

بنى الموارنة كنيستهم الأولى في معراب على أنقاض هيكل رومانيّ وثنيّ. خُرّبت هذه الكنيسة الأولى مع حملة المماليك على كسروان سنة ١٣٠٥. أعاد أبناء البلدة بناء الكنيسة على إسم ما باسيليوس وغريغوريوس، وأخذت شكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٨٨٥. في هذه الكنيسة يرقد على رجاء القيامة المطران بولس فؤاد نعيم تابت (١٩٢٩-٢٠٠٩) وهو أوّل سفير بابويّ مارونيّ لبنانيّ.


The first church was built by the Maronites over a roman pagan temple. The church was destroyed during the Mamluk’s campaign on Keserwan in 1305. After their return, the villagers reconstructed the church and it was consecrated to Sts Basil and Gregory. It took its final shape in 1885. The church is the final resting place of Bishop Paul Fouad Naim Tabet (1929-2009), the first Lebanese Maronite Papal nuncio
