كنيسة مارت تقلا - المروج

الكنيسة مبنيّة أوائل القرن الثامن عشر، تسلّمتها الرهبانيّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة سنة ١٧٩٢، وكانت الكنيسة متهدّمة فرممّتها، وقامت بخدمة شركاء آل أبي اللمع المسيحيّين. سنة ١٨٢٩ وسّع الرهبان بناء الكنيسة التي أخذت شكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٩٢٩: نمط بازيليكيّ مسقوف بسوقٍ واحد. للرهبانيّة أنطش بالقرب من الكنيسة تتابع من خلاله النشاط الرعويّ والرسوليّ. تضمّ الكنيسة العديد من اللوحات والأعمال الفنيّة القديمة والحديثة من مدارس مختلفة، أهمّها لوحة القدّيسة تقلا لحبيب سرور.

The church of St Thecla - Mrouj

The first church was built in the early XVIIIth century, and was given as a donation to the Lebanese Maronite Order in 1792 to restore it and give pastoral care to the maronite subjects of the Abi Al Lamah lords. In 1829 the monks enlarged the church and it took its current form in 1929: a single roofed nave basilical plan. The Order built a presbytery near the church and serves the parish spiritual needs. The church is decorated with many old and new works of art from different schools, the most important being the painting of St Thecla behind the altar.

الصليب - دير القمر

سنة ١٩٢٩ قَرَّرَ الطوباويّ ّيعقوب الكبوشي بناء نُصُب الصليب على أعلى تلّة في دير القمر في محلّة كانت تُعرف بقلعة صور. وكان الهدف من البناء أن يُرفع صليب فوق مثوى من ماتوا دون جنازة في حرب سنة ١٩١٤، وأن يكون الصليب مواجهًا لبلدة بعقلين علامةً لحبّ المسيح لأبنائها ورحمته تجاههم على حدّ قول الأب يعقوب. وهَبَ الأرض لهذا المشروع ألمُثَلَّث الرحمات المطران أوغسطينوس البستاني رئيس أساقفة صيدا. إنتهت ألأشغال ببناء كنيسة صغيرة ترتفع عليها قاعدة يرتكز عليها الصليب، وقد تبرعت ١٤ عائلة من دير القمر ببناء مراحل درب الصليب تُحيط بالنُصب. وفي ١٤ أيلول سنة ١٩٣٢ تَمَّ تكريس المقام. تعرّض للتخريب خلال الحرب الأهليّة وأعيد ترميمه .

The Cross - Deir el Qamar

In 1929 Blessed Fr Jacob Haddad OFM, decided to build a cross on a hill called Qalaat Sour in Deir el Kamar. His ambition was lead by a desire to have a cross raised over all those who died in the war of 1914 without a proper burial, and that the cross would be facing the town of Baakline to be a sign of the Lord’s love and mercy towards its citizens. To accomplish this noble project, the bishop of Sidon Mgr Agustin el Boustany donated the land. A small chapel was built and over it the cross was raised. To help with the project, 14 families from the town donated to build the stations of the cross. The shrine was inaugurated and consecrated on the 14th of September 1932. The shrine was sabotaged during the civil war and restored during peace times.

Saint George Church, Byblos, Lebanon

The church dates back to the Phoenician era with a high vault. The great frensh orientalist Ernest Renan retraced its history with its huge stone pillars. The church had a great Phoenician tympant with two snakes revolving around a globe. The huge stone was taken to the Louvre museum by Renan.
The final stage and most recent construction dates back to 1870 when the church was rededicated by bishop Yousef el Marid.

تعود الى العهد الفينيقي لأنها مبنيّة بعقد قصبة مرتفعة وكانت معبدًا وثنيًّا.
أشار إرنست رينان الى وجود اعمِدة أثريّة استُعملت في مداميك البناء. رُمّمت وزيد عليها مع تعاقب المراحل التاريخيّة.
رينان انتزع عتبة الكنيسة وأرسلها الى متحف اللوفر في باريس، وهي تحمل نقشًا من الرموز التي كانت شائعةً في الدين الفينيقي يمثّل كرةً تلتفُّ حولها حيّاتٌ مجتمعة الأذناب في أعلاها
رُمِّمت هذه الكنيسة عدَّة مرّات، وكُرِّست عام 1870 بيد المطران يوسف المريض. وصورة مار جرجس فيها هي بريشة الرسّام بولس شلافك
