كابيلّا الشهيدة أكويلينا - جبيلالقدّيسة أكويلينا شهيدة من مدينة جبيل استشهدت فيها بعمر اثنتي عشر سنة، سنة ٢٩٣. دُفِنَت ذخائرها خارج مدينة جبيل، في المزار المُشيَّد على اسمها والواقع على تلّة قصّوبا شرقيّ المدينة بحسب المستشرق ارنست رينان. رسم لوحتها سمعان سمعان المصوّر المعروف بسمعان سارة أواخر سنة ١٩٥٣ بسعي الأب أنطونيوس زغيب الذي نشر إكرام القدّيسة. الكابيلّا بنيت أيّام رئاسة الأب يوحنّا وهبه على أنطوش جبيل في سوق جبيل القديم، سنة ١٩٨٢. وهو مزارها في قلب المدينة ومحجًّا لطلب شفاعتها.The Chapel of St Aquilina - ByblosSt Aquilina is a twelve year old martyr from Byblos who died in 293. Her relics were buried in a small shrine on the hill of Qassouba in the vicinity of the city according to the orientalist Ernest Renan. The painting is the work of Semaan Semaan also known as Semaan Sara dating back to 1953, commissioned by Fr Antonios Zgheib who promulgated the devotion to the saint. The chapel was built when Fr Youhanna Wehbe was the rector of Byblos’s presbytery in 1982. The chapel is a pilgrimage site to all those seeking the martyr’s intercession.

محبسة مار سمعان العاموديّ - بقرقاشا

هذه المحبسة المبنيّة في حرف شيرٍ صخريّ، تعود للقرون الوسطى. بحسب البطريرك الدويهيّ بنتها سنة ١١١٢ تقلا إبنة الخوري باسيل البشرّاني على إسم مار جرجس ومار ضوميط، وما برحت وتحوّلت على اسم مار سمعان العاموديّ. يشهد على ذلك كتاب الريش قُريان السريانيّ الخاص بالمحبسة، الذي يعود لسنة ١٢٤٢، وهو محفوظ في جامعة السلامانكا.

St Simon the stylite hermitage - Bqorqasha

The hermitage is built on the slope of a rocky cliff in the holy valley of Qannoubin. It dates back according to patriarch Stephen Al Douwaihy to year 1112 when Thekle the daughter of a priest named Basil of Bsharre built a hermitage dedicated to Sts George and Doumith, that was rededicated to St Simon the stylite. A Syriac lectionary proper to the hermitage, the Rish Qoryan, dating back to 1242, that was discovered and conserved in Salamanca’s university, attests this story.

تأسّست الكنيسة الأولى سنة ١٧٤٠، مع قدوم الموارنة إلى البلدة. تعرّضت هذه الكنيسة للتخريب جرّاء الزلازل والحروب عدّة مرّات. أُعيد بناؤها بالشكل الحاليّ سنة ١٩٢٩ ورمّمتها مديريّة الآثار سنة ١٩٩٥. الكنيسة كناية عن سوقٍ واحدٍ مستطيل مسقوف بسقفٍ بغداديّ. مذبحها رخاميّ يحوي نقشًا لمار جرجس. وتحوي الكنيسة لوحتين للسيّدة ومار جرجس.

The church of St George - Rmeish

The church was founded in 1740 when the first Maronites came to the village. It was damaged many times due to wars and earthquakes. It took its current form in 1929, and was restored in 1995. The structure is a single roofed rectangular nave with a wooden ceiling. The main altar contains a marble Bas-Relief of St George. The church holds two local paintings: the Madonna and St George.

كنيسة مار روكز - الفراديس

الكنيسة الأولى هي محبسة في أعلى القرية تعود للقرون الوسطى. بُنيت الكنيسة الحاليّة وسط البلدة في القرن التاسع عشر، هي كنيسة صغيرة بعقدٍ مصالب، قبّتها تعود لسنة ١٩٥٤. تضم الكنيسة لوحةً لمار روكز عمل حنّا رفوّل دحدح سنة ١٩٥٧. على بيت القربان نقشٌ لطائر الفينيق رمزٌ القيامة.

The church of St Roch - Fradis

The first church was a medieval hermitage on the edge of the village. In the mid XIXth century the current church was built in the middle of the vill’age. The structure consists of a single small crossed vault, the bell tower was added in 1954. The church holds a painting of St Roch by Hanna Raffoul Dahdah from 1957. The tabernacle has a phoenix engraving on it’s door symbolizing Ressurection.
