كنيسة مار ميخائيل - بكفيّاسنة ١٥٩٠ حدث خلاف بين البطريرك سركيس الرزّي والمطران أنطون الجميّل الذي منعه من زيارة بكفيّا، فاستاء العديد من آل الجميّل جرّاء هذا الخلاف وناصروا البطريرك، ممّا دفعهم لبناء كنيسة جديدة سنة ١٥٩٢ بسعي الخوري عيسى الخرّاط مكرّسة لمار ميخائيل. توسّعت الكنيسة عدّة مرّات أهمّها سنة ١٨٨٧ حين أعاد تكريسها المطران نعمة الله سلوان، وبعد الحرب الأهليّة. تضمّ الكنيسة قبّة نيوغوطيّة يعلوها تمثال مار ميخائيل. لوحة مار ميخائيل هي للمستشرق وليم الألمانيّ تعود لسنة ١٨٣٩، أمّ لوحة العذراء فهي من رسم حبيب خوري سنة ٢٠٠٦.The church of St Michael - BikfayaIn 1590 a conflict happened between Patriarch Sarkis el Rezzi and bishop Antoun Gemayel who forbade him from visiting Bikfaya. Because of this mishap, many supporters of the patriarch from the Gemayel clan decided with father Issa Kharrat to build a church dedicated to St Michael in 1592. The church was enlarged and renovated on several occasions, the most important are 1887 when it was rededicated by bishop Nematullah Salean and after the Lebanese Civil War. The church holds a neo gothic bell tower. St Michael’s painting is the work of a german orientalist called William and dates back to 1839. The painting of the Madonna is painted by Habib Khoury in 2006.

كابيلا سيّدة الآلام - بزمّار

في القرن السادس عشر زار البطريرك ارزيفيان روما والتقى البابا بنديكتوس الرابع عشر، وأهداه أحد الكرادلة لوحة لسيّدة الآلام، منسوبة لمدرسة رافاييل تعود لرافاييل سانزيو أو الى غيراريو بار بيري. في رحلة العودة تعرّضت السفينة لخطر الغرق فرُميت اللوحة في البحر ووُجدت تطفو على المياه بشكلٍ عجائبيّ. بعد هذه الحادثة وُضعت اللوحة في كنيسة الدّير فوق العرش البطريركيّ.
عام ١٨٠٢ ضربت الصاعقة الكنيسة، وسقطت على العرش البطريركيّ حيث كانت صورة العذراء، من دون الحاق الضرر بالعرش، ولا باللوحة، فبُنيت على إثر المعجزة كابيلا صغيرة ملاصقة للدّير وهي مزار للمؤمنين طالبين نِعم سيّدة الآلام. زارها قداسة البابا بنديكتوس السادس عشر سنة ٢٠١٢.

The chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows - Bzommar

In the XVIth century, the Armenian Patriarch Arzivian visited Rome and met pope Benedict XIV. He was gifted an icon of our Lady of Sorrows from an Italian cardinal. The painting is from Raphael’s school and is attributed to Raphael Sanzio or Gerario Parperi. On the way back the ship was in danger of shipwreck, and the painting was thrown in the sea with other furniture. It was rediscovered miraculously floating several days later. After the incident it was put over the patriarchal chair in the main church of Bzommar.
In 1802 a lighting bolt hit the throne and the painting fell down, yet even the glass that was on it was miraculously preserved. A chapel adjacent to the monastery was erected to enshrine the miraculous icon. The chapel was visited by pope Benedict XVI in 2012.

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٨١٢ وكرّسها المطران الياس محاسب سنة ١٨٤١. بُنيت القبّة بسعي المغتربين سنة ١٩١٠. لوحة العذراء التي تعلو المذبح منقولة عن مادونا سيستينا لرافايل. في الكنيسة العديد من الأيقونات والسقف مكسو بالجداريات من عمل أ. روكز سنة ٢٠١٢.

The church was built in 1812, and consecrated by Bishop Elias Mhaseb in 1841. The Campanile was built in 1910 with the donations of the village’s diaspora. The painting of the Madona over the high altar is a copy of the Madona Sistina of Raphael. The church is rich in icons, and the vault is covered in frescoes painted by I. Roukos in 2012.

كنيسة مار الياس - بجرّين
هي البناء الوحيد الباقي من قرية بجرّين التي هُجرت على إثر الحرب العالميّة الأولى. تعود للعهد الصليبيّ، وهي محافِظة على طابعها القديم فلا توجد فيها قبّة جرس. بناؤها بسيط، وتظهر على جدرانها بقايا جداريّات مخفيّة تحت طبقة الكلس.

The church of St Elias - Bjerrin

It is the only standing building in tbe village of Bjerrin that was abandoned after the World War I. The church dates back to the times of the Crusades, and still preserves a modest architecture without a bell tower. On the walls are visible the remains of medieval frescoes under a layer of stuco.
