سنة ١٨٣٣ بنى الرهبان اليسوعيّون الدير على انقاض محبسة للأنطونيّين، وجلبوا أيقونة سيدة النجاة بعد سنة وهي رسم ساسو فيراتو. في هذه الكنيسة بدأت الأخويات المريميّة الاحتفال بالشهر المريمي سنة ١٨٣٧. سنة ١٨٥٦ كان بناء الكنيسة الكبيرة، التي كان مقرّرًا أن تكون على اسم مار يوحنا فرنسيس رجيس، فما برح الشعب يرتل ترنيمةً مريميّة فجاءت هذه الحادثة كرسالة دفعت لتكريس الكنيسة على اسم السيدة. حمت السيدة اهالي بكفيا من مجازر سنة ١٨٦٠ وداء الهواء الأصفر سنة ١٨٦٧، واليها تنسب العديد من المعجزات. سنة ١٨٧٣ أُسّست فيها جمعية راهبات القلبين الأقدسين. كذلك بزغت فيها دعوة القديسة رفقا، بطرسية الريّس التي كانت ابنة الأب كليم الجميّل اليسوعيّ، وسمعت في هذه الكنيسة نداء "بتترهبي" الذي دفعها لدخول الحياة الرهبانية في ٩شباط ١٨٥٥ في هذا الدير.The Jesuit order started the mission in Bikfaya in 1833 building the monastery over an old Antonine hermitage, and brought an icon of Our Lady painted by Sasso Ferrato the very next year. In this church the Marian confraternities began celebrating the month of Mary in 1838. The church was built in 1856, during the consecration the church was planned to be dedicated to St John Francis Regis, yet the people began singing a Marian hymn, the superiors read that as a sign and dedicated the church to Our Lady. The Miraculous Virgin protected the villagers from the massacres of 1860, and the cholera pandemic in 1867, and she is known for her miraculous interventions. The congregation of The Blessed Hearts was inaugurated In this church in 1873. And in it the young St Rafqa, Boutrsye el Rayes, who was the spiritual daughter of the jesuit Fr. Kalim el Gemayel, heard the calling of The Madona telling her “you will become a nun”, which lead her to enter the monastic life on the 9th of march 1855.

في البدء كان البناءُ جزءًا من بيتٍ كبيرٍ لوقف زغرتا، استعمله الأهالي مستودعًا لأدوات البناء عندما حاول الزغرتاويّون بناء كاتدرائيّة سنة ١٨٩٩ في المكان القائمة فيه الآن كنيسة مار يوحنّا المعمدان. ولمّا لم تتيسر الأموال لإتمام البناء، طلبت السيّدة آسة أرملة سليم بك كرم من الخوري سعاده حنا ديب سعاده أن يُستعمل هذا البيت معبدًا على اسم سيّدة الحارة، بعد الحصول على إذنٍ من البطريركيّة المارونيّة. رُممّت هذه الكنيسة مرارًا ووُسّعت وأُضيفت لها قبّة جرس. أُهملت الكنيسة بعد بناء كنيسة مار يوحنّا المعمدان المحاذية لها. أُعيد تجديدها سنة ٢٠٠٠.

The church of our Lady of Hara - Zgharta

The building was originally a tool basement for a house owned by the parish of Zgharta. In 1899 after the failing to build a cathedral nearby due to the lack of funds, a local lady named Assa, who is the widow of Selim Bey Karam asked Fr. Saade Hanna Dib Saade to convert the structure into a church dedicated to the Virgin Mary after the approval of the Maronite Patriarch. The church was renewed many times and a bell tower was added. However, after the construction of St John’s church nearby it fell into disuse. It was finally renewed in the year 2000.

كنيسة مار جاورجيوس - المحيدثة بكفيّا

تسلّمت الرهبانيّة الباسيليّة الشويريّة حجّة عام ١٧٢٦ لبناء كنيسة على إسم مار جرجس للروم الملكييّن الكاثوليك فشرعت بالبناء، وشهدت مراحل ترميم وتوسعة عام ١٩٠٠ و٢٠١١. تتميّز الكنيسة بالإيقونات المقدسيّة والبلديّة التي تعود للنصف الثاني من القرن الثامن عشر.
تخدم كنيسة مار جرجس كلّ أبناء المنطقة وهي أمّ الرعايا الملكيّة والأقدم بينها.

St George’s church - El Mhaydse Bikfaya

The Bassilian Choueirite order received permission to build a church in Bikfaya in 1726, and decided to dedicate the new church to St George. The church underwent major restorations in 1900 and 2011. The church holds a collection of icons from the School of Jerusalem and some other local icons. The icons date back to the XVIIIth century. The church is the mother parish of all the Melkites in the region.

دير سيّدة البشارة بقلوش - ساحل علما

يَعود إنشاء الدّير الى العام ١٧٨٠، يوم أوقَفَ الشَيخ ميلان ضِرغام الخازن، كُلَّ ما يَملُكَه لإنشاء دير تمّ بناؤه سنة ١٧٨٣. إتَخَذَه المُطران أنطون الخازن، مقراً لأبرَشيَّة بَعلبك. عام ١٨١٨، خُصِّصَ الدّير للراهِبات المُحَصَّنات، من جُملة الأديرة السِتّة التي خُصِّصَت للنِساء، ضِمن مُقَرَّرات مَجمَع اللويزة. وبَعدَ إنحِسار الدَعَوات النِسائية، هُجِرَ الدّير، وتَداعَت أبنيته، ولم يَبقَ مِنه إلا كَنيسته المَعقودة، التي ما زالت قائمة لتاريخه. تحوي الكنيسة لوحة صفدٍ مقدسيّة وبعض الأيقونات المحلية ولوحة البشارة، مع صلبوت (مجسّم للمصلوب) لرتبة السجدة. تضمّ الكنيسة مدفن المثلث الرحمات المطران أنطون نوفل حصن الخازن.

The Monastery of the Annunciation Baqloush - Sahel Alma

The construction of the monastery began in 1780 when Sheikh Milan Dergham el Khazen gave his possessions to build a monastery that was completed in 1783. Bishop Antoun el Khazen made it the episcopal residence of the bishops of Baalbeck. In 1818 the monastery was made one of the six nunneries for the contemplative maronite nuns by decree of the council of Louaizeh. The monastery fell into ruins after the nuns left, and only the church remained. The vaulted church holds a mother of peral inlayed icon with an agonizing crucifix, local icons and the painting of the Annunciation. The church also holds the sarcophagus of bishop Antoun Naufal el Khazen.
