بناها الخوري يوحنا إبن الخوري فرج الحداد، وقد عُثرَ على قرطاس في كنيسة تحوم يؤيّد ذلك.وكنيسة مار روحانا مشيّدة على بقايا برج روماني قديم آثاره ما زالت ماثلة، فزاويته الجنوبيّة الغربيّة راسخة على حجارة ضخمة من نفس مقلع حجارة بعلبك بحسب الخبراء. اما درج الكنيسة فداخليّ، وفي خاصرة حنية الكنيسة حجرة مخفية أعدّها القدماء مدفنًا لكنوزهم.وبالقرب من هذا المعبد، اكتشف الأثريّون مدافن قديمة واستدلّوا على منزلة مهمة لمن سكن في هذه الأماكن الأثريّة.تجدر الإشارة إلى أنّ مار روحانا المرنّم هو لقب محبّب للسريان معناه الروحانيّ، يطلق على مار قبريانوس الناسك.St Rouhana’s church - Aïn kfaaIt was built by Fr. Youhanna son of Fr. Faraj Al Haddad, as it is attested in a manuscript belonging to the parish of Thoum.The church is built on top of an old roman tour, the stones of which are quarried from the same source as the Great temples of Baalbek. The church has an indoor stone ladder.Near the church many roman ruins where found and a noble necropolis.St Rouhana the cantor is a title given by the syriacs and is translated to "the spiritual", it is given to St Cyprian the hermit.

أنطش مار يوسف - بسكنتا

سنة ١٧٧٠ بدأ أهالي بسكنتا ببناء كنيسة على إسم القدِّيس يوسف، لكنّ البناء تعثّر. فكان ذلك سببًا لدعوة الرهبانيَّة اللبنانيَّة إلى تسلُّمها، سنة ١٧٧١، بناءً على طلب الأهالي. مقابل ذلك، كان على الرهبانيَّة أن تنشئ مدرسةً لتعليم الأحداث وإرشاد القريب في الأمور الروحيَّة. أتمَّت الرهبانيَّة، سنة ١٧٧٦، تشييد الكنيسة، وأنشأت مدرسةً على اسم القدِّيس يوسف، فكانت أقدم مدرسةٍ في بسكنتا، تهتمُّ بتعليم الأولاد مبادئ الدين والأخلاق، واللغتَين السريانيَّة والعربيَّة.

The presbytery of St Joseph - Baskinta

In 1770 the locals of Baskinta began building a church dedicated to St Joseph, yet due to the lack of funds, they decided to hand the church to the Lebanese Maronite Order. The agreement was settled in 1771 and a school to teach the children and provide spiritual guidance was erected by the order. In 1776 the church was dedicated and the first Baskintan school opened providing a program that teaches Syriac, Arabic, Morals, and Catechism.

كنيسة سيّدة الغابة - بيت شباب

بنُيت الكنيسة الأولى في القرن السابع عشر، واعتنى بإعادة بنائها آل الحايك مرّتين سنة ١٧٧٢ و١٧٧٣. خُرّبت أثناء حملة إبراهيم باشا فأعاد ترميمها الأمير حيدر أبي اللمع سنة ١٨٤٠. أخذت شكلها الحاليّ سنة ١٩٠٠ ورُمّمت سنة ١٩٩٠. في الكنيسة عدّة لوحات أهمّها اللوحة القديمة التي تعود للقرن السادس عشر، كان قد رسم فوقها كنعان ديب لوحة أخرى لم تعد موجودة سنة ١٨٣٩ وقد جرّحها فارسٌ درزيّ في أحداث ١٨٦٠، وقد نُقلت عنها لوحة لحبيب سرور تعود لسنة ١٩١٩.
The church of Our Lady of the Forest - Beit Chabeb

The church was first built in the XVIIth century, then rebuilt by the Hayek family in 1726 and 1773. It was damaged during the campaign of Mehmet Ali Pasha and restored by Prince Haidar Abi Ll Lamah in 1840. It took its final shape in year 1900, and then restored 90 years later. The church holds many paintings the most important ones being the old XVIth century icon of the Madona, that was covered by another painting by Kanaan Dib drawn in year 1839 that is no longer present. This painting was attacked by a Druze knight in the war of 1860. Habib Srour drew a copy of it in 1919.

كنيسة سيّدة نايا - كفرشليمان

كانت كفرشليمان مركزًا لمعبدٍ فينيقيّ تحوّل في القرن الخامس الميلادي مع إنتشار الديانة المسيحية، الى كنيسة على إسم سيّدة نايا (الكنيسة الجديدة). إزدانت الكنيسة برسوم وجدرانيات ونقوش مميزة على صخورها رمّمت عام ٢٠٠٧. في الكنيسة جداريّات الشفاعة ، الضابط الكلّ، العذراء المرضعة، مار أفسطاقيوس.
كان البطريرك يوسف التِيّان متنسكًا في هذه الكنيسة، بعدما إستقال من السّدة البطريركية جرّاء خلافه مع الأمير بشير الثاني الشهابيّ.

The church of Our Lady of Naya - Kfarshleiman

Kfarshleiman was the land of a Phoenician shrine that was converted in the Vth century into a Byzantine church dedicated to our Lady and named “nea” meaning new church. The church was ornate with frescoes that were restored in 2007 representing: the Deisis, the Pantokrator, the Nourishing Virgin, St Eustache.
The Patriarch Youssef el Tyan used the church as a hermitage for a while after he resigned from his seat due to the polemic with Prince Beshir the second Shehab.
