كنيسة السيّدة - عمشيتبُنيت الكنيسة الأولى أواسط القرن العاشر وكان يطلق عليها إسم سيّدة البيدر. سنة ١٧٨٢ بُنيت الكنيسة الحاليّة. سنة ١٩٠٠. أُفيم في الكنيسة بيت القربان الرخاميّ ووضعت لوحة سيّدة الإنتقال. سنة ١٩٥٨ رمّمت الكنيسة ووُسّعت آخذة شكلها الحاليّ بعدما أُزيلت من داخلها الشواهد والقبور. رُمّمت الكنيسة أواخر القرن العشرين وهي كناية عن عقد مُصالب ينتهي بحنية.The church of Our Lady - AmshitThe first church was built in the middle of the Xth century and was known by our Lady of the field. In 1782 the current church was built. In 1900 the marble tabernacle and the painting of the Assumption were brought. In 1958 the church was restored and all of the tombs and the shrines where removed. The church was renewed in the latter part of the XXth century. The structure consists of a crossed vault ending with an apse.
كنيسة سيّدة التلّة العجائبيّة - دير القمر بُنِيَتْ كنيسة سيِّدةِ التلَّة على أَنقاضِ هَيْكَلٍ وَثَنِيٍّ أُقيمَ لِعِبادَةِ الإلَهْ القَمَرْ، تَحَوَّلَ إلى مَعْبَدٍ مسيحيٍّ عَلى يَدِ النَاسك إبراهيم القورشيّ. رمّمها البيزنطيّين والفرسان التيتونيّين. خُرِّبَت الكنيسة بعد رحيل الصليبيّين. مع بِدايَةِ القَرْنِ السّادِسَ عَشَرَ، وجَدَ الأهالي حجر العتبة من الكنيسة الأصليّة وسمّوها سيّدة التلّة. كان ذلك سنة ١٥١٦. شهدت الكنيسة على تاريخ دير القمر العريق، ومذابح سنة ١٨٦٠ حيث خَلَّصت القدّيسة رفقا طفلًا من الموت بشكل عجائبيّ إذ خبّأته في ثوبها. هي كنيسة محجّ لكلّ أبناء المنطقة. معروفة بعجائبها الكثيرة وفضلها. تحوي الكنيسة على عدد كبير من اللّوحات والآثار الكنسيّة.
The Church of Our Lady Of Talleh - Deir el Qamar The church was originally a pagan temple for a moon deity, then converted into a church by the hermit Abraham of Cyr. It was restored by the Byzantines and the Teutonian knights. The church fell into despair after the Crusaders left, up until the sixteenth century, when local christians found the historical frontal stone and named their church Our Lady of the Hilll, it was consacrated in 1516. The church is a witness on the long history of Deir el Qamar and the massacres of 1860 when St Rafqa shielded a boy miraculously with her habit. The church is a pilgrimage site known for miraculous healings. It also contains a lot of paintings and church furnishings.
انطوش ولوحات كنيسة سيّدة التلّة - دير القمر. سنة ١٧٥٠، وهبت الستّ أمّون، والدة الأمير يوسف المعنيّ للرهبانيّة الحلبيّة اللبنانيّة، أربعة أقبية والدكاكين الموجودة فوقها والتي تقع الى جانب الكنيسة، من اجل تعليم الأولاد وفائدة الشعب الروحيّة. فأقامت الرهبانيّة أوّل مدرسة ديموقراطيّة في الشرق حيث كان يتعلّم مجّانًا أولاد الأمراء الى جانب أولاد الفلّاحين، من دروز ومسيحييّن، من بنين وبنات، على إثر قرار المجمع اللبنانيّ سنة ١٧٣٦. سنة ١٩٠١، أُعيد بناء الأنطوش. سنة ١٩٣٧، جرى أوّل إحتفال رسميّ بمناسبة عيد سيّدة التلّة في الأحد الاوّل من شهر آب، وذلك بمنشور صادر عن راعي الابرشيّة آنذاك المطران أوغسطين البستاني.
The Presbytery and the paintings of Our Lady of Talleh - Deir el Kamar In 1750 Lady Amoun of house Maan, mother of Prince Yousef, gave the Alepine Maronite Order four crypts and some commercial stores near the church to convert them into a school and provide spiritual assistance for the locals. The new school was the first democratic school in the Levant, teaching for the first time students from all backgrounds: Christians Druze, nobles peasants, boys and girls, in accordance with the precepts of the Lebanese council held in 1736. The presbytery was rebuilt in 1901. In 1937 a new feast day of Our Lady of Talleh was celebrated for the first time on the first Sunday of august.
دير مار عبدا - دير القمر
سنة ١٨٤٩، تأسّس الدير على يد الأب نعمة الله البكفاوي والأب بطرس الغزيريّ، بهدف خدمة النفوس في منطقة دير القمر. سنة ١٨٩٥، على عهد الأب العام سابا دريان، اتمّ الاب المدبّر افرام حنين الديراني بناء الدير، وأنشأ مدرسة لأبناء الرهبانية. سنة ١٩٦٣، تمّ بناء مدرسة مار عبدا. سنة ٢٠٠١، تمّ إفتتاح فرع لجامعة سيّدة اللويزة في الدير مكان الثانويّة الرسميّة وفرع للجامعة اللبنانية. سنة ٢٠٠٥، تم ترميم الدير وإصلاح غرفه والصالون والاقبية ليستقبل الرهبان والحركات الرسولية. يتميّز الدير بهندسته الفريدة وهي مزيج من فنّ العمارة اللبنانيّة والحلبيّة.
The monastery of St. Abda - Deir el Qamar
The monastery was built in 1849, to provide pastoral and spiritual assistance in Deir el Qamar. In 1895 during the mandate of Abbot Saba Derian the monastery was completed and a monastic school was erected. In 1963 the school was renewed and opened to the public. In 2001 a branch of NDU and of the Lebanese University were opened next to the monastery. In 2005 the monastery was renewed. The building is a great late 19th century witness to Lebanese architecture with elements of Aleppo’s art and arabesque.
بُنيت كاتدرائية مار أسطفان على أنقاض كنيسةٍ أقدم عهدًا سنة ١٩١٠، يوم كانت المدينة في أوجّ نموّها. تتميّز الكاتدرائيّة أنّها تجمع الطراز النيوكلاسيكيّ والنيوبيزطيّ. مبنيّة على نمطٍ بازيليكيّ بثلاث أسواقٍ تنتهي بثلاث حنايا وفيها ثلاث مذابح. تحوي الكنيسة كرسيّ الأسقف، لوحة غربيّة الصنع لمار أسطفان، بيما للوعظ، وجرن للعماد ذات قبّة. واجهتها الغربيّة تطلّ على المرفأ وتتميّز بقبابها التي يتوسطها تمثال مار اسطفان.
St Stephen’s cathedral - Batroun
The cathedral was built over an older church in 1910, during the city’s economical peak. The chuch combines neoclassical and neo Byzantine styles, according to a basilical plan with three naves and three semi circular apses with altars. The cathedral holds the episcopal chair, a western painting of St Stephen, a pulpit, and a western style domed baptisimal font. The western facade of the church overlooks the city’s port, with two domes ans St Stephen’s statue between them.
