كنيسة مار جرجس - عمارة شلهوب أعطى المطران المثلث الرحمات نعمة الله سلوان الإذن ببناء الكنيسة ( كنيسة القديس مارون آنذاك) وأوقفت الأرض من المرحوم سلوم بسول سنة ١٨٩٩. اكتمل بناء الكنيسة مار جرجس الأعظم حوالي سنة ١٩٠٠/١٩٠١ من أموال أبناء الرعيّة بدليل تعيين أول وكيل وقف سنة ١٩٠٠ وتسجيل أول عمادة فيها سنة ١٩٠١ كما وتعيين أول كاهن لخدمتها سنة ١٩٠٢. تضرّر السقف خلال الحرب اللبنانيّة فتمّ ترميمه وطرشه على عجل. عند ترميم الكنيسة الثاني سنة ٢٠١٧ تم اعادة كشف رسومات السقف الأصلية. St. George Church - Amaret Chalhoub The late Salloum Bessoul donated the land for the building of the Maronite Church of St. Maron (at that time), and Archibishop Neematullah Selwan granted permission for its construction. The construction of the Church of St. George the Great was completed around 1900/1901 from the funds of the parishioners, with the appointment of the first trustee in 1900 and the registration of the first baptism in 1901, as well as the appointment of the first priest to serve in it in 1902. The ceiling was damaged during the Lebanese war and was hastily restored and painted. During the second restoration of the church in 2017, the original ceiling paintings were rediscovered.

كنيسة مارت تقلا - سمار جبيل
هي كنيسة صغيرة بجوار كنيسة مار نوهرا الرعائيّة، مؤلّفة من سوق واحد ينتهي بحنية. بحسب التقليد المحليّ يعود وجود كنيسة لتكريم مارت تقلا بالقرب من كنيسة مار نوهرا، لأنّ شقيقة القديس نوهرا كانت تدعى تقلا، وقد تبعت أخاها في تبشيره، واستشهدت مثل شفيعتها ثم دفنت هي ايضاً في سمار جبيل. إلا أنّه لا دلائل تاريخيّة حتى الآن تثبت هذه المقولة. الكنيسة تعود لأواخر القرن الثامن عشر.

The church of St Thecla - Smar Jbeil

The church is a small chapel near the parish church of St Nohra. It consists of a single aisle ending with an apse. According to local traditions the church is dedicated to the patroness of St Nohra’s sister also called Thecla and also a martyr, yet no historical records show that. The church dates back to the late XVIIIth century.

كنيسة سيّدة الدرّ - بشرّي
سيدة الدرّ أو الوريسة كان معبدًا فينيقيًّا تحوّل الى كنيسة في القرن الحادي عشر. بحسب الأب بطرس ضو "تحوّل هذا المعبد الى كنيسة، وكان يوجد فيه رسوم جدرانيّة من القرن الثاني عشر وتحتوي على أسماء القدّيسين باليونانيّة، مما يدلّ على أن الموارنة في وادي قاديشا كانوا حتى القرن الثالث عشر على اتصال بالحضارة البيزنطيّة". الكنيسة عبارة عن مغارة محفورة في الصخر ذات خوروسين، لعلّ جداريتها الأجمل هي الظهور الإلهيّ.

The church of Our Lady of the Milk - Bcharre

The church of Our Lady of the Milk or El Waryse is a Phoenician temple converted in the XIth century. According to the historian Fr. Boutros Daw: ”The shrine was converted into a fresco covered church in the XIIth century with the saints name written in greek, indicating that the Maronites in that era kept contact with the Byzantines”. The church consists of a man made cave with a double apse. The best kept fresco is that of the Epiphany over the altar.

كنيسة مار يعقوب المقطّع - رشدبّين

كنيسة صغيرة تعود من حيث الهندسة والشكل إلى العصر البيزنطيّ وتقع بقرب المعبد الرومانيّ. تتألف من عقد سريريّ بحنيةٍ واحدة. يشكّل الجزء الأماميّ من الكنيسة قسم للموعوظين. ومار يعقوب هو قديّس فارسيّ من القرن الرابع، كان فارسًا نبيلاً، ولم يجحد إيمانه فنال إكليل الشهادة.

The church of St Jacob the Persian - Reshdebbin

A small church near the old roman temple. It dates back to the Byzantine era according to its architecture. The church consists of a crib vaulted ceiling ending with a single apse. The frontal part is occupied by a narthex. St Jacob was a Persian third century noble knight who suffered martyrdom so he wouldn’t recant his faith.
