دير راهبات العائلة المقدّسة المارونيّات - عبرينسنة ١٨٩٦ غادرت الأم المؤسِّسة لراهبات العائلة المقدّسة روزالي مع راهباتها من مدرسة بطرس شحادة في جبيل إلى عبرين لتداعي البناء وحاجته للترميم. وشاءت العناية الإلهيّة ان تتدبّر الأموال بيد المطران (البطريرك المكرّم) الياس الحويّك، لشراء بيت ومزرعة واكد الشيخاني في عبرين وتحويلها إلى دير ومدرسة، مع كنيسة ذات زجاجيّات مميّزة، وقبوٍ معقودٍ تحتها، هو مرقد البطريرك الآن. والقبو مزيّن بجداريّات يوسف الحويّك. أصبح دير العائلة المقدّسة الدير الأمّ للجمعيّة وأصبحت الراهبات تُعرفن براهبات عبرين.The Holy Family’s convent - Ibrin1896 was a pivotal year for Mother Rosaly the new superior general of the new Maronite congregation of the Holy Family, as the nun moved from Boutros Shehade’s school in Jbeil to the farm estate of Waked el Shikhany in Ibrin. In his diaries Bishop Elias Howayek (later Venerable Patriarch) relates how the money for the purchase was due to the Divine Providence’s intercession. Bishop Howayek transformed with the nuns the estate into a convent with a school and a beautiful church with stained glass windows, and a crypt with Youssef el Howayek’s frescoes (the only Lebanese art deco style paintings). The crypt is also the resting place of Patriarch el Howayek. Since its construction, the convent became the mother house of the Holy Family’s nuns and they are widely known as the Nuns of Ibrin.

بحسب البطريرك الدويهيّ بني الدّير سنة ١٣٣٩. كان دير مرت مورا أوّل كرسي لمطرانيّة إهدن، قبل انتقالها إلى دير مار سركيس رأس النهر. سنة ١٦٩٥ أعطى البطريرك الدويهيّ الدّير لمؤسسي الرهبانيّة الحلبيّة اللبنانيّة ليختبروا قانونهم الجديد وحياتهم المشتركة، فانضمّ إليهم آخر ناسك عاش فيه وهو أنطونيوس الإهدني. سنة ١٦٩٨ انشقّ بعض الرهبان عن القرعلي وأسسوا رهبانيّة جديدة مع جبرايل حوّا في مارت مورا لم تدم طويلًا. يتألّف الدير من كنيسة ذات عقد سريريّ، وغرفة كبيرة ملاصقة. رُمّم الدّير سنة ١٩٨٣.

The monastery of St Moura - Ehden

According to Patriarch Doueihy the monastery was built in 1339, and was the first seat for the bishops of Ehden before they moved tho St Serge’s monastery. In 1695 Patriarch Doueihy gave the monastery to the newly founded Alepan Lebanese Order, so the founding fathers could experience their new monastic rule and communal life. The last hermit of the monastery Antonios el Ehdeny joined the order. In 1698 the first split in the order happened and some monks decided to start a new order with Gebrayel Hawa in Mart Moura. This second order didn’t persist. The monastery consists of a crib vaulted church with an adjacent room, and was restored in 1983.

كنيسة سيّدة الدرّ - بشرّي
سيدة الدرّ أو الوريسة كان معبدًا فينيقيًّا تحوّل الى كنيسة في القرن الحادي عشر. بحسب الأب بطرس ضو "تحوّل هذا المعبد الى كنيسة، وكان يوجد فيه رسوم جدرانيّة من القرن الثاني عشر وتحتوي على أسماء القدّيسين باليونانيّة، مما يدلّ على أن الموارنة في وادي قاديشا كانوا حتى القرن الثالث عشر على اتصال بالحضارة البيزنطيّة". الكنيسة عبارة عن مغارة محفورة في الصخر ذات خوروسين، لعلّ جداريتها الأجمل هي الظهور الإلهيّ.

The church of Our Lady of the Milk - Bcharre

The church of Our Lady of the Milk or El Waryse is a Phoenician temple converted in the XIth century. According to the historian Fr. Boutros Daw: ”The shrine was converted into a fresco covered church in the XIIth century with the saints name written in greek, indicating that the Maronites in that era kept contact with the Byzantines”. The church consists of a man made cave with a double apse. The best kept fresco is that of the Epiphany over the altar.

كنيسة مار يعقوب المقطّع - دلبتا

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٧٦٤، وهي عقد مصالب بحنية واحدة وثلاث مذابح. هي كنيسة البلدة الرعائيّة. رممّت للمرّة الأولى ما يين سنة ١٨٩٣ و١٨٩٤ وأقيم فيها المذبح الكبير. أمّا الترميم الثاني يعود لسنة ١٩٧٥. تحوي الكنيسة على مدفن المطران يوحنّا مراد رئيس أساقفة بعلبك (+١٩٣٧). كذلك على مجموعة كبيرة من اللوحات لكنعان ديب إبن البلدة تعود لأواخر القرن التاسع عشر.

The church of St Jacob the Persian - Dlebta

Built in 1764, it is the town’s parochial church. The structure is a crossed vault ending in a single apse with three altars. The church was restored between 1893 and 1894 when the current high altar was brought, and in 1975. In the church is buried Mgr. Youhanna Mrad (+1937) archbishop of Baalbek. The church holds a great number of paintings by Kanaan Dib the son of Dlebta, dating back to the late XIXth century.
